The property was amazing right on the water with lots of different buildings to stay in. The beach area was very nice and they offered free rentals of paddle boards or kayaks in the evening. The entertainment in the main building pub was a great way to end the night.

Room was a bit dated. Washroom door in room wouldn't latch closed. Washroom floor was on a slant. Pool area was clean but hot tub was not actually hot more warm bath water like.

It’s a beautiful property with many options for out door activities such as kayaking, boat rentals etc. There’s a lovely indoor pool, sauna and hot tub that are a welcome treat after a very long drive. The restaurant and pub we pleasant and the food was good. The breakfast buffet was a nice start to the day, especially looking out at the water and boats.

Traveled from Arizona. This was a disappointing stay. The building the room was in (Glasgow House) was outdated. There was water and other damage throughout the halls and windows in common areas. Some common areas had old phones and appeared unclean. Room was musty smelling and minimal with no wall decor. Small TV with basic cable that had a number of channels not working or with static making them unable to be watched. The gym area was very small with old equipment, missing weights, and now air circulation (small window with an air conditioner not turned on). Pool was nice but the outdoor hot tub, sauna and indoor hot tub were "out of order" first day of our stay. The Narrows Pub was good, good food and all staff were very nice. Front desk staff were also nice. Would not recommend. I think for the price with the amenities being "out of order" warrants a partial refund. A resort with no amenities working other then the pool seems odd. Disappointing we were not put in the newer buildings.

I booked this as a RESORT property. Everything was closed or not working. No spa, no restaurant or bar, hot tubs were BOTH closed or not working. No room made up until you left. Horrible experience.

I fell in a pot hole walking from the pool to my room. Hurt my knee and hand. The walkway is not well lit and I didnt see the pot hole. Did not enjoy the rest of my stay. The staff were great getting bandages for my knee.

My stay had a mix of pros and cons. The lobby and room had a noticeable musty smell and felt outdated and worn. Unfortunately, the room wasn't very quiet; I could hear everything from the room above, including running water and creaky floorboards, which made it difficult to relax. The check-in process also felt impersonal and lacked a welcoming feel. On a positive note, the bed was very comfortable and the in-room coffee was a nice touch. The pool was also a good size and an enjoyable feature.

Room was clean; staff friendly and informative. Beds were comfy. Several packs of guests roaming the halls and partying until quite late, and although the walls seemed reasonably soundproof, every sound from the halls drifted through the thin doors. We loved the proximity to water, lovely views.Could walk to town busy road though.Amenities were great.The room we were assigned initially smelled like urine and the carpet was badly stained,smell was awful.They moved us but did not apologize or think it was odd.The rooms especially bathrooms could use a good clean.No elevators,not for people with mobility issues.Taking lugfage up three flights not ideal.

The location was beautiful. The welcome desk and bar area was updated and the staff were very nice. Overall, The property itself needed repairs including the outside space. The rooms need ( our room) to be updated. Our room had a foul odor to it. The furniture was old. The bathroom floor was sticky.

The staff was lovely. Front desk and restaurant. We ate around 730 pm and our waitress was fantastic. The room was also lovely. Clean, spacious, lots of windows and the bed was super comfortable.

The property is nice and in a beautiful location. Only downfall is certain buildings are updated and the ones that aren't drag this resort down a star in rating. I would stay again as long as I could book one of the updated rooms.

One of the hotels we stayed at was verryyyy outdated for the amount we paid. The doors seemed like anyone could just kick it in and the rooms were so close that u can hear ppl coming in and out across the room. The main building is new and beautiful but the older parts are very outdated for the amount you are paying

The property is lovely and I see the main area / reception has had a facelift but the rooms are sad. Our bed was okay but only three pillows? And the three we had were flat and old. The place is in sorry need of an update. For the price point it should be in better condition. The toilet was so low to the floor and the tub must have been installed in 1966.

Comfiest beds ever. Wasnt thrilled we had to cart everything up 2 flights of stairs. Rooms a bit on the small side. A/C was great. TV was tiny and not the greatest quality. We missed having a microwave. Ordered a grilled chicken burger (from their menu) but soon discovered it was a coated. Wasn't a fan. Overall a pretty good stay and was very clean.

Very out dated - I think part of this property has been renovated but we stayed in the old section. It had everything we needed, comfy bed and pillows, clean but smelled bad (musty old carpet/upholstery?). Some plugs don’t work - the plug falls out. We had to move the coffee maker to the bathroom. Someone tried to break into our room in the middle of the night - they were fiddling with the key hole for a long time which woke us up and when we went to the door to say “hello” or “you have the wrong room” they took off running away. The property itself, design wise, is nice and well kept and unique (resort style). We booked via Expedia and the photo was misleading (the nice renovated rooms of course!) and it was non refundable which was annoying. It suited our needs for being there briefly to run the relay but I wouldn’t want to go back and stay on vacation. Baddeck and Cape Breton in general are beautiful though!

Beautiful views and area but owner was not a friendly or people person at all. He did not allow us to have a later check out by an hour and stay until noon. We had arrived at 6pm the previous day. We were located on the second floor and there are no elevators and they did not offer help to carry our suitcases up the stairs and so I put my back out.

Beautiful views and area but owner was not a friendly or people person at all. He did not allow us to have a later check out by an hour and stay until noon. We had arrived at 6pm the previous day. We were located on the second floor and there are no elevators and they did not offer help to carry our suitcases up the stairs and so I put my back out.

what a great resort! We were there in the middle of the Celtic colors, music festival. The staff was so friendly and courteous. Partygoers in The next room kept us up all night with their noise, but the next day, the hotel kindly afforded us a significantly delayed check out so we could get some rest. Would recommend it to anybody coming to Baddeck, CBI

Was the worst experience we had on our trip. The staff had no idea about anything on or off the resort, if you can call it that. I booked this hotel because it had a spa and a must eat restaurant but when we called to make spa appointment in advance we were met with a short employee tell us that they could not offer any of the spa services and that they close at 5 because people go to the pub in town. The restaurant onsite was closed guests staying there even though the front desk sent us there for food and they were making lunch for a buss tour but claimed they were closed otherwise. We arrived after 3 but were told only 1 room was ready, even though there were hardly any guests staying there. When we checked into our room there was a giant stain on the carpet, the room smelled bad, the toilet wouldn't flush and the sink leaked. When i tole the front desk she said " i guess i will tell maintenence" no appologies or concerns about or stay or satisfaction. This hotel shouldn't be called a resort it should be called a motel which is what it was. Old, outdated, and consiting of an unhelpful and unknowledgeable staff. Aside from thr location and the kind people in town i would not recommend this property to anyone.

Staff was super accomodating. We were able to check in early and with our small dog. Rented paddle boards from the friendly staff at the waterfront and had a blast paddling out to the island. Even saw a seal. Would recommed highly.

The staff was lovely. Front desk and restaurant. We ate around 730 pm and our waitress was fantastic. The room was also lovely. Clean, spacious, lots of windows and the bed was super comfortable.

Great resort, lovely staff, it has its own beach area, and a place where you can rent boats and kayaks. Walking distance to downtown. We'll come back if we visit the area again.

Front desk service was very friendly, funny amd helpful Cafe bar had good food and service although they were run off their feet. Breakfast could have been warmer and fresher but it was near the end of the buffet: service was good there too though

The only thing I'll ding here is their place for breakfast. It had very minimal options. Considering how nice the resort is, this was very surprising.

Very disappointed that there was no dining available at all, not even breakfast. Wish we had known that ahead of time, we wouldn't have stayed there. Plus the only supper option available in Baddeck was Tim Hortons.

It’s a beautiful property with many options for out door activities such as kayaking, boat rentals etc. There’s a lovely indoor pool, sauna and hot tub that are a welcome treat after a very long drive. The restaurant and pub we pleasant and the food was good. The breakfast buffet was a nice start to the day, especially looking out at the water and boats.

I stayed on first floor in room#79 in cambell house ( I hope I didn’t forget the name) Everything was good except lots of spiderwebs above the entrance door with big spiders in it My spouse is very sensitive to spiders/ insects and it was challenging to get through this I request the owners or management to take care of this things in cleaning

This is an amazing place! I wish I stayed 2 nights! The room was spacious and clean, the staff were very friendly and kind and the property is gorgeous! It was also so close to amenities and on the property there were 2 restaurants, live music and bar open until 11 pm.
