Hotel Viata

Bel hôtel, je regrette de n’avoir jamais reçu le coup de téléphone pour m’annoncer la disponibilité de la chambre. Nous y avons eu accès après 19.00 Du coup un upgrade nous a été offert avec le sourire, mais nous n’avons pas pu utiliser les 25 euros de cadeau Personnel souriant et agréable et le spa très cher mais un très bon service

The stay was great, however the beds were not comfortable at all which was very surprising to me.

Everything and everybody was great. The only complaint was house keeping did not come until after 5pm. We had 3 of us with event in am and in pm to get ready for and needed towels, called to desk for towels, they never came. I ended up tracking down a housekeeper in the halls, exchanged dirty towels for clean, emptied our trash myself. House keeping knocked in our door as were were leaving around 530, didn't need them by then. Maybe they were short staffed? Other than that I absolutely loved this hotel.

I must say that the staff is super friendly, both the valet parking, in the restaurant, and in the reception. Therefore, I give them 5 out of 5. The breakfast was also nice. But the hotel itself and what you get for the money… it is not worth the price. It should be at half the price, then the rating would be significantly higher. **Payment** The hotel doesn’t accept cash at all, apparently to save on cash handling. I am extremely disappointed. I chose to pay on site, which was the more expensive alternative (around 70 USD), specifically so I could pay in cash, but it wasn’t possible. What’s the point of the choice to pay on site then? **Breakfast** You can book a room with or without breakfast. We chose with breakfast, but then there is a limit of 30 USD per person for what you can take. Why not just make a normal breakfast buffet? What’s the point of this voucher nonsense? The hotel feels poorly designed. The pool is a small puddle just like at an ordinary villa. In addition, they have placed some kind of generator or cooling unit in the courtyard (instead of on the roof), which makes an incredibly loud noise. You don’t get a single peaceful moment. Unfortunately, it was a disappointment overall.
