The Cabin was the perfect quiet getaway spot. We enjoyed the deck, dock, and charcoal grill. Our dogs were obsessed with the lake. We could not have asked for a better trip!

The Cabin on Cedar Key was a perfect respite! We loved the wooded setting right on the lake in a small, private community. The cabin had everything we needed for two - a well-appointed kitchenette, a comfortable bed, and views from every window. We enjoyed swimming from the dock in the no wake cove and having meals on the large deck overlooking the lake. We would definitely stay again!

Stayed here with my wife for just a short weekend. Cabin was well stocked with everything we needed and the bed was very comfortable. Really enjoyed sitting outside on the large deck and taking in the lake, which seems to be in a quieter section. Would definitely stay here again.

Another great stay at cabin 2! The addition of the hand railing down to the dock is great. This cabin really has everything you need. The no-wake zone is great for fishing, swimming, kayaking, and more.

Cabin was exactly as described! It was nice and updated. The views are amazing and the lake is so clean!! The dock is safe and there’s all new railings down to the dock. We went to two local winery’s and highly recommend Fables & Feathers Winery!! Also we didn’t bring our dogs this trip but when they say dog friendly they mean it - they had extra poop bags, extra dog bowls, dog treats, and extra leashes. We will 100% be back with our pups!

Booked this cabin for a quick weekend get-away. The view of the lake is beautiful! The cabin was very clean. I appreciate all the utensils available as I cooked all my meals at the cabin. And of course pet friendly is a plus!

This was the most beautiful location to spend an anniversary weekend. The cabin was clean and the host’s left plentiful instructions for everything. We shared a dock with a neighboring cabin with the most gorgeous views. It was quiet and so refreshing. There’s enough to do around the area without feeling overwhelming. If you truly just want to “get away” do yourself a favor and visit this cabin with these wonderful hosts

We absolutely loved our stay and hope to return! The cabin was perfect, the only thing I wished was that they still had the love seat to accompany the couch. The scenery was so beautiful, the lake is amazing, and the neighborhood was perfect. Thank you so much for such a wonderful get away!

We had the most relaxing weekend in Cabin 2 at Cedar Key. The accommodations were perfect for me, my husband, and our terrier pup. Sipping wine in the sunshine on the dock, fall hikes, and even a couple of chilly swims were highlights of our stay. The cabin is small, but mighty, equipped with everything we needed for our getaway and then some. Thanks for hosting us!

The main room gets lots of natural light, and the whole cabin is very cozy and tidy. The kitchen is small, but well equipped, and we just used the outdoor grill most nights anyway.

Great little cabin with amazing views, nice deck and well appointed!! Careful when making the bed in the master, if the comforter is over the corner you will bang your leg and trust me it hurts LOL. Tuck it in so you can see the corner of the bed.

Lovely cabin for a fall weekend or a summer vacation week. Very clean, well outfitted for cooking and a beautiful view. We didn't bring the dogs this time but it would be ideal for dogs with its enclosed deck. Comfortable beds and furniture as well.

Everything about this stay was excellent. Ken and Cindy were always prompt to send responses. They even accomodated early entry for us on the day of check-in. The location of the cabin cannot be any better. I was especially impressed by the attention to detail that the owners have in stocking up anything and everything that one might need during their stay - from board games to utensils to even a tick-bite kit! They even had 2 kayaks. We did not use those because of the winter though. The rooms were adequately kept warm, mattresses were good, bathroom was in excellent condition. Overall, it couldn't have been better. We will definitely go back again.

This is our second time staying at this property. We love the location, water access, and amenities. The cabin has literally everything needed. We loved the addition of the kayaks this year so we could all be out on the water when my husband was out on his fishing kayak. We had one small maintenance issue (something that was out of the owner’s control), and the owners were responsive and even called us personally to get it resolved. We’ll definitely be back!

Cedar Key Cabin #2 was the perfect getaway for my husband and me. The location is beautiful and so peaceful. It was nice to look across the lake and have a complete view of nature (no houses). The cabin was well equipped with everything we needed to have a comfortable stay. There was no need to leave. We actually decided to stay in and cook all meals there. That is a first for us. We usually eat out. The hosts were very responsive, kind and accommodating. They allowed us to change our dates last minute due to a family emergency. We have stayed in several nice homes at SML, but this one was perfect for us and is by far a favorite. We definitely plan to return.

We booked this as a staycation for my daughter and new husband on their wedding night. The view is absolutely beautiful and the cabin is so clean! There was one little hiccup which Ken was able to resolve quickly. Ken and Cindy were fantastic answering all my questions and were so easy and kind to deal with. Definitely a place to go again!!

My husband and I have stayed in this cabin twice now and we love it! The view of the lake is stunning. It’s located in a wildlife preserve so there is no development to obstruct the views, only beautiful untouched forest. The cabin is well equipped and comfortable. The host is very attentive and accommodating.

Loved everything about this cabin. Perfect size for a family of three, beautiful location and views. Located in a quiet area with plenty of parking. A quick boat ride, 10-15 min, from Mitchell’s marina. Docked our boat at the shared dock. Plenty of space to park boat trailer in parking area. Very nice stay!! Would love to visit again

Very quite and peaceful property overlooking the lake. We were in town for Liberty University graduation. The drive to Lynchburg was well worth it considering the crazy expensive hotel rates in Lynchburg over that time. We were rewarded with beautiful scenery and accommodations for the decision to make the daily drive. I would highly recommend this host.

My husband and I were very happy with this place. It was serene and peaceful and the views of the lake were gorgeous. The cabin was comfortable and had everything we needed, and even provided some pet supplies. We would definitely stay here again!

Great little cabin for the family. Its located on the east end of the lake, so its a lot more quiet. For the firat few days, we were the only people around, and we basically had the lake cove to ourselves. Beautiful setting to eat breakfast on the deck with the view of the water. Great hosts as well. Very responsive and took care of everything. Highly recommend!

Great time as usual! Enjoyed waking up every morning to the birds singing and the view of the beautiful lake and mountains. Our favorite place to stay by far!!

This cabin truly has one of the best views I’ve ever seen. The cabin was very well maintained and clean. Communication with owners was super fast and reliable. Easy access to Smith Mountain Lake State Park. We had a wonderful fall weekend!

Fantastic, quiet cabin right on a section of the lake that is a no wake zone - no fast boats and quiet w a great view. Was great for my kids to explore and paddleboard. The cabin has everything you need to disconnect and enjoy the lake including all the appliances, coffee maker, grill, large deck, comfortable beds, games and books(and large TV that we didnt use). Highly recommended!

Excellent location with splendid lake views. Deck overlooks a quiet branch of the lake. Great place to walk and enjoyed watching the deer from the deck in the morning. Would definitely return.

Nice cabin, right off the water with a great view of the lake. I loved waking up and walking out onto the large deck every morning! The cabin itself has everything you need for a nice relaxing vacation! Size was great! My dog loved exploring the area by the dock and water everyday. Hosts were great! Definitely recommend.

Such an amazing stay at this quaint cabin! We had a quick stay and wish we could have stayed longer. The lake view is gorgeous and the patio is just perfect. The hosts were very communicative and kind.

Definitely a great time and a great location. The cabin was beautiful and it was hasslefree to check in and check out. There is a minimart and a Italian pizza place up the street.
