Tim is a wonderful host! He is very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were exceptionally clean. The windows give you plenty of privacy during the day while the curtains are drawn letting in natural light. They have a fire pit and even supply wood for it. If you have no interest in building a fire there is also a propane one on the property surrounded with the comforts of patio furniture. Although it is located off the main road, it is very peaceful and welcoming. There is a laundry facility, a place to store your prizes from fishing, and a propane grill to cook up any food you'd like. It is not a pet friendly hotel HOWEVER there is a boarding house just down the road if traveling with your fur babies. We've stayed on two different occasions and 110% will return. To be honest I didn't want to write this review because deep down I wanted to keep this hidden gem to ourselves. This is a prime location to stay whether fishing, four-wheeling or snowmobiling as it is located conveniently on the trails.

Lovely property, new construction with modern design. Ten minutes drive to Salmon River Falls Unique Area. Bonus: The site had a firepit and a shed of split and seasoned firewood, free of charge for guests! Bring your own newspaper/kindling/matches for bonfire, or there is a dollar store just a few minutes away to get these things.

Great property. Newly renovated rooms. Only 1 chair and only a small trash can. Adding a small table and microwave would be great additions!! Property is located on the snowmobile trails. Will be staying here in future trips!!

Close to fishing and that's what we came for. They offer storage for fish too which I thought was a great idea. Breakfast is at 6:30 which was too late for us as we wanted to be on the river at that time

The cabin was incredibly clean, spotless. Really nice, comfortable, warm, accessible and overall pretty flawless. I will absolutely stay there again on our next fishing trip. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The price was unbeatable as well.

The location was nice. New building. When I checked in I was charged a extra fee of 86 dollars that I was not notified about. After check in we went into town. When we came back there were people tailgating in front of our cabin being very loud late at night and early in the morning. No soap in soap or shower dispenser when checking in but was taken care of. Floors were very dirty and dusty. There was a random footprint at the front door. Hand soap dispenser was leaking and tried to tell the office at 9am but was locked up with no one there. Ad says breakfast included but only before 9am and only coffee. Beds very comfortable and the blankets were nice along with the air conditioner. Felt like we had very little privacy. Stayed for our anniversary and was a very poor stay. Will not be coming back....

The room was clean and functioned fine. We would have liked a lamp or lower intensity ceiling lights. Breakfast was marginal - white bread to toast with processed cheese slices and ham. Was okay but very limited. The milk was sour and no obvious recourse as no one was on duty.

The cabin was clean, spacious and fairly new. The host was friendly and helpful. We stayed one night during a long trip so we hoped for something comparable to it hotel room. But there was not enough furniture in the room. Suitcases had to go on the floor. Breakfast was a very basic continental style missing several very key items. The bathroom has no counter space so we had to make do using the top of the toilet. This is a nice, quiet, secluded place. It's comfortable and clean, but if you expected hotel like accommodations you will be disappointed.

Needed to check in super late in the night and the gentleman I spoke to made it work for us. He was super understanding and accommodating. Highly recommend if you’re just looking for a place to shower and sleep while you’re up in that area.

The property was pretty new and so it was well maintained and clean. The staff was nice and thank you for extending the checkout time; which was orginally10am and too early. The materials used in the cabin and quality was poor and we 're afraid of using them to avoid breaking/damaging as they seems fragile. Overall a nice place to stay for a night or two and i recommend.

This was a very last minute reservation. We were in town and our overnight plans were upended due to a burglary where we intended to stay. While having dinner I found Golden Pond Cabins and called around 8p looking for accomodations for the night. Turns out they had an opening and within 30 mins texted me back to let me know they had our room cleaned, prepped and the key was in the room waiting for us. What a huge relief! When we got there the room was spotless and that's saying a lot as my wife (and me) are clean freaks when it comes to hotels/motels. Very modern, new construction and just enough amenities to make our stay extremely pleasant. The owner turned an otherwise awful day into a relaxing restful evening. My wife and I are so very appreciative. So if cleanliness, convenience, and customer focus are important to you? This is the place. I will definitely consider staying again when I'm in the area!

We were the only guests at the entire facility. The front desk staff informed us that the kitchen was under renovation, so no breakfast was available despite being advertised. After showing us to our room, the staff member left the premises. Outside, about 30 feet from our unit’s front door, an outdoor table was littered with leftovers from a previous picnic—two pieces of watermelon and a plate of meat, rotting and swarming with flies. Concerned about safety, I tried to book another hotel. The place was clearly mismanaged.

Lovely property, new construction with modern design. Ten minutes drive to Salmon River Falls Unique Area. Bonus: The site had a firepit and a shed of split and seasoned firewood, free of charge for guests! Bring your own newspaper/kindling/matches for bonfire, or there is a dollar store just a few minutes away to get these things.

Wish we knew how to turn the heat on-once we were covered up in the cozy blanket we were fine& warm enough. Wish there were more selections for breakfast.

The room was clean and functioned fine. We would have liked a lamp or lower intensity ceiling lights. Breakfast was marginal - white bread to toast with processed cheese slices and ham. Was okay but very limited. The milk was sour and no obvious recourse as no one was on duty.

Close to fishing and that's what we came for. They offer storage for fish too which I thought was a great idea. Breakfast is at 6:30 which was too late for us as we wanted to be on the river at that time

The cabin was clean, spacious and fairly new. The host was friendly and helpful. We stayed one night during a long trip so we hoped for something comparable to it hotel room. But there was not enough furniture in the room. Suitcases had to go on the floor. Breakfast was a very basic continental style missing several very key items. The bathroom has no counter space so we had to make do using the top of the toilet. This is a nice, quiet, secluded place. It's comfortable and clean, but if you expected hotel like accommodations you will be disappointed.

The location was nice. New building. When I checked in I was charged a extra fee of 86 dollars that I was not notified about. After check in we went into town. When we came back there were people tailgating in front of our cabin being very loud late at night and early in the morning. No soap in soap or shower dispenser when checking in but was taken care of. Floors were very dirty and dusty. There was a random footprint at the front door. Hand soap dispenser was leaking and tried to tell the office at 9am but was locked up with no one there. Ad says breakfast included but only before 9am and only coffee. Beds very comfortable and the blankets were nice along with the air conditioner. Felt like we had very little privacy. Stayed for our anniversary and was a very poor stay. Will not be coming back....

We were the only guests at the entire facility. The front desk staff informed us that the kitchen was under renovation, so no breakfast was available despite being advertised. After showing us to our room, the staff member left the premises. Outside, about 30 feet from our unit’s front door, an outdoor table was littered with leftovers from a previous picnic—two pieces of watermelon and a plate of meat, rotting and swarming with flies. Concerned about safety, I tried to book another hotel. The place was clearly mismanaged.

Golden Pond cabins had great value very clean, cozy and comfortable. Young lady at the front desk was very helpful and inviting check-in was fast and easy. With someone that’s always on the road and stay at the same four or five hotels every week gold Pond cabins was a breath of fresh air definitely will be coming back.

We came for a short 1 night stay and it was simply perfect New beds. Thick towels, very clean and comfortable rooms We used the grill outside and had a small picnic The only thing that I am wondering is if it was more guests that wanted to use the grill and outdoor table (only one of each) how we would manage that task Otherwise I have no complaints

It honestly served its purpose for what we were looking for which is a room to rest our heads at night with heat, a bathroom, and a shower. We spent our entire day out fishing so we did not need somewhere to stay that required to entertain us. My only wish would be a microwave in the room, but there is a microwave available for use in the main room. My only complaint was the propane bottle was empty when looking to use the grill, and staff was called and problem reported but no call back was made, and propane bottle was not filled by the time our trip ended.
