I was deliberately downgraded by Reception upon my evening arrival. I had booked and prepaid a Deluxe Room high up in the building very far in advance of my stay. When I complained of the room I was shown, I was simply told “No opportunity to change room. We don’t have any others.” I ended up in an alternative, grotty, small room for disabled guests. Loud noise from the street. Impossible to open window due to a large A/C making an intractable noise, and thuds arguing on the street. Room was not cleaned - and when I mentioned this, it was plainly ignored. Staff was unkind and did not seem to like their jobs at all. Not ONE smile, or a kindly word from either of them week. I could not wait to get out, and would warn anyone: Do not go. An incredibly disappointing experience.
