Lovely comfortable hotel, convenient if you want to visit the gaol and remembrance gardens. However although Luas and bus stop a 10 minute walk away, I felt location was just too far out of town. The taxi charged us 80euros from the airport which is extortionate! So would like to see an airport minibus here if possible. The bar and restaurant had a great selection of food and drink. The swimming pool was laughably small but it was nice bobbing about in the jacuzzi. Staff were pleasant and helpful. There is slight traffic noise from busy South Circular road nearby but all in all we had a comfortable stay.

We needed a pet friendly hotel with secure parking available 24 hours. The Hilton Kilmainham was perfectly located for us as we were coming into Dublin from the West of Ireland. The staff were friendly and made a fuss of our dog. We’d found finding pet friendly accommodation tricky in Ireland and the warm welcome was greatly appreciated. Also very handy for Phoenix Park. Room very comfortable and spacious. Would definitely consider staying there again.

Really enjoyed staying at this hotel. I booked a double room and asked if I could be given a room on top floor with a view and this is exactly what I was given. The room was very spacious on top floor with a great view. The bed was very big and very comfortable. My daughter and I loved using the pool. Housekeeping was excellent.

Absolutely brilliant stay. Spotlessly clean room, lovely staff, great amenities, and truly dog-friendly. It made such a difference being able to travel with our dog and feel completely welcome. We’ll definitely be back.

This is my second stay at this hotel. It is an ok hotel but not amazing. This visit I was unhappy with room cleaning. They didn’t start cleaning until after 4 pm when was coming back after being gone all day. Second day I came back at 5 pm and it still was cleaned and therefore didn’t get cleaned at all. The staff are nice and friendly so no problems there.

I paid, like the occupants before me, €100 for the room to be deep cleaned on my departure. This is clearly not happening because when I moved the bed i found a key card that belonged to a previous occupant. Very disconcerting to think we pay extra for a deep clean because we had a pet with us which is definitely not getting done. This is the 2nd time but when it happened before I put it down to error but can't keep doing that. Also why when we pay extra are we forced to sit outside in the cold for our meals? Surely there could be somewhere inside, separate the restaurant where we can sit and eat like civilised people, after all we pay extra for the cleaning?

We had a really lovely stay at the Kilmainham Hilton. All of the staff were really friendly, polite and helpful. The only problem was that the air conditioning system in one of the rooms we had (226) wants Woking and the room was uncomfortably hot and stuffy. We did mention it to reception and they responded quickly and sent someone up to fix it, however it went wrong again causing the room to be very uncomfortable to sleep in.

We were room 122 and the doors to the lift were banging all night people going through them then at 6 am there was louder banging from a room like furniture been moved around a few mins later followed by hoovering at this point i gave up on sleep. I felt more tired the next day not at all rested. So bits to improve the doors banging and cleaning after 7am also hats in the pool and somewhere more private to get dressed after swimming.

Room was beautiful, big flat screen tv, kingsize bed tho the mattress was terrible, didnt sleep all night they need to be changed the springs is all i felt all night and it was hard as a brick. But everything else was perfect.

We arrived at the end of August and stayed 2 nights and then for one night in September. Our first room, face the Killmainham Jail. It was a large room with a king size bed. The bathroom had both a tub and a separate shower. The location was great and the hotel was very quiet. Blink 182 was playing a concert across from the hotel. We didn't hear any of the crowd on the street from our room when the concert was done. The breakfast was amazing. Ask for a voucher at the front desk. This saves you about 6 Euro off the price. My only issue is that when we arrived for our one night stay in September, our room was considerably different. I double checked that when we booked, our room category was the same for both August stay and September stay. It was. Our September room was 222. Don't stay in this room. The AC barely blew, we had someone come to look at it. She put her hand up to it, said it was cold and that was that. The bathroom had only a shower and was considerably smaller that our August room. Also, my side of our king size bed was horrible. It slanted inward towards my husband. The difference in height of the two mattresses was so significant, that I had to put a pillow between my husband and I so I wouldn't roll over to him all night. It wasn't a pleasant sleep at all. I'm not sure why we had such a great room the first stay and a crappy room for the second stay, especially when we had the same room category for both.

There was a very loud party of drunk people next door who blasted music and singing at 2am. It took staff 3 times to quiet them down, and about an hour or more for us to get back to sleep. Staff was helpful and professional, but we were surprised that it happened at a Hilton at all. There was no quiet curfew or any sort either, which is also surprising.

We had a great stay, we stayed 3 nights and everything was 1st class, the only thing was the pillows were a little lumpy & hard! I prefer a softer pillow & usually hotels offer a pillow choice. Overall very good! All staff we encountered were professional, friendly and kind, especially Valentina on the main desk offered great advice & was knowledgeable about tje local area.

The staff at reception and the cleaning crew were fantastic but my only complaint was with the bar staff, they were so slow to the point we left and went up the road to a small coffee shop.

I was quite disappointed with my stay here, for the money it costs I wouldn't say it was worth it. Also be aware, I paid part before I arrived and was meant to pay the rest on arrival. The hotel have ended up charging me the other half PLUS the cost of the entire stay and still have not got back to me regarding a refund for the stay that I have over paid. When we went to the bar, the staff were slow and forgot about or meals and did not bring them out. Once we asked where our meals were, they apologised but said we could only have a selected few meals off the menu at the point the kitchen was closing as the food took so long. Overall I am really disappointed and even more upset that I have essentially been charged twice for the same hotel room and no one is assisting me in the refund.

Very friendly staff. Met us outside to bring our luggage into the hotel! Let us check in early (we flew overnight and didn’t sleep…). The filtered water to fill water bottles in the restaurant was also much appreciated.

Really comfortable hotel, staff are super helpful and very friendly. This was our 5th stay here and we were as usual very happy to stay here, great location to M50 and City centre, Luas. Lovely bar food and cocktails in hotel restaurant/bar, Kilmainham gaol and Patriot pub across the road

Service and facilities at this hotel were excellent. Highly recommended. In terms of location, the area is reasonably nice but it is located outside the city centre and is too far to walk in. Public transport is close by with a bus stop less than 5 mins and the tram stop 10 mins away.

Lovely comfortable hotel, convenient if you want to visit the gaol and remembrance gardens. However although Luas and bus stop a 10 minute walk away, I felt location was just too far out of town. The taxi charged us 80euros from the airport which is extortionate! So would like to see an airport minibus here if possible. The bar and restaurant had a great selection of food and drink. The swimming pool was laughably small but it was nice bobbing about in the jacuzzi. Staff were pleasant and helpful. There is slight traffic noise from busy South Circular road nearby but all in all we had a comfortable stay.

Lovely hotel in a convenient setting. Staff at reception were very friendly and attentive. The quality of food in the restaurant was mixed, and the service received on all occasions (breakfast twice, one evening meal in the restaurant and one room service) was disappointing. The food portions were generous, but this was reflected in the higher prices.

Check In and Room were excellent. Being tired after our travel to Dublin we decided to eat in the hotel restaurant. The menu choice was disappointing but we chose some food anyway. When it arrived it too was disappointing to say the least. Having said that Breakfast was excellent and enjoyable. On our second night we went out to a different venue and had a most enjoyable meal.

I was quite disappointed with my stay here, for the money it costs I wouldn't say it was worth it. Also be aware, I paid part before I arrived and was meant to pay the rest on arrival. The hotel have ended up charging me the other half PLUS the cost of the entire stay and still have not got back to me regarding a refund for the stay that I have over paid. The pool closed at 8:30 on the weekends but 10 on the weekdays??? This made no sense to us and was very inconvenient. The location was ok, very noisy and they have concerts across the street which we had no idea. Parking is difficult as they allow anyone to park so hotel guests are not prioritized and you may not get parking. The beds were very hard. The breakfast was good.

Outstanding anniversary stay – staff made it truly special We stayed at the Hilton Kilmainham in Dublin on a Saturday for our one-year anniversary, and it was a really lovely experience overall. From the moment you walk in, there’s a beautiful fragrance throughout the hotel. Our room was spotlessly clean, the bed was extremely comfortable, and everything we needed was there. The staff were absolutely outstanding – genuinely 11 out of 10. The guys at reception were super helpful and friendly. They helped me organise a lovely surprise for my partner with balloons, chocolates and red wine. The hotel also left us a little dessert plate with “congratulations” written in chocolate. All the small details were thought through perfectly and made the stay feel really special. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant. The traditional fish and chips were excellent. Unfortunately the steak was quite chewy and not great. When we mentioned it to a gentleman in a suit (I believe he was a manager), his response was just “Was it chewy? Oh ok” – very flat, no smile, and quite different from the rest of the team. In contrast, all the restaurant staff were brilliant – polite, warm and always smiling. Special mention to our waitress Chloe, a lovely French girl who was fantastic. We also used the pool and jacuzzi, which were clean and really nice. Breakfast the next morning was excellent – great choice of food and again the breakfast team were so friendly and helpful.We would happily return

Older hotel next to the jail. Ok room, bed was ok, thin walls and potential to not be very quite, has a terrible shower in a baths, which I hate and is so 1970’s and just plain dangerous. It was ok for one night.
