Pantiles Cottage, Stretton, sleeps 4 self catering

Beautifully clean , excelently equipped, beds very comfortable, nice welcome tray and milk in the fridge very thoughtful.. Our arrival was delayed because of a road traffic accident and sadly I didn't have telephone contact details for our host so I couldn't let her know but she was very inderstanding when we arrived.

Very close to Rutland water. Loads to do at Rutland. Rural location only accessable by car. The owner kindly let us charge the car at the house (we worked out and paid for the electricity used). I was pleased to find there is a freezer in the kitchen. There were lots of kitchen utensils which made cooking easy.

The property is easy to find just off the A1 ideally placed for visiting Rutland Water, Burghley House, Oakham etc. We arrived around 6pm, the heating was on, the cottage was immaculately clean and had all you needed for a very comfortable stay. Gill the host checked we were Ok and was available if we had any issues, we didnt. The cottage is also next door to the Jackson Stops Inn who do very good food. I thoroughly recommend Pantiles Cottage and would stay again

We picked the cottage for location, accommodation and price. We had a two night break either side of a funeral. Would certainly consider again in happier circumstances. We were unfortunately not able to sample the menu at pub next door due to timing, perhaps next time! Thank you Gill.
