Steep hill, up and down, to and from the nearby main drag. Because it’s a work area, at times there was lots of trash on the street, which, for some people could be dark and “spooky” at night. But not unsafe.The apartment itself was very spacious and comfortable, well-equipped, good bed and lots of hot water. The only downsides included one deck door that could not be locked and another for which no available key worked to unlock. Neither balcony showed signs of recent cleaning (perhaps because it was winter) and the one in front had a trash wrapper on it. There’s an apparent trash dump in the rear, where the bedroom is and the smell outside is not inviting. Getting fresh air there is not advised. The front room door handle kept falling off; had I had an Allen wrench I would have fixed it. The shower has a small amount of mold, which could be remediated to improve the smell of the bathroom. Not terrible.
