Newly designed 3BR apartment + Private terrace

Apartment was very clean and centrally located to many shops, restaurants, and bars. Would definitely consider staying here again.

Nice apartment in a great central location in Casco Viejo.

The location was excellent and the apartment was reasonable well renovated. However it left a lot to be desired in furnishing and fixtures. Most important-one shower door only opened about 10 inches so it was unusable. I contacted the manager many times and he was very slow in responding and then did not address the issue. He sent someone over who did nothing. After 5 days he said it was supposed to open inwards which was absolutely untrue. We are adults who know how to open shower doors. Several handles on windows and doors fell off. Some furniture was damaged with holes or damaged fabric. The kitchen items were skimpy - there were no bowls, no pitcher for beverages, no container for ice cubes etc etc. There were no instruction manuals for appliances such as washer/dryer, dishwasher etc. No note telling us where the trash could be taken out to. We asked for early check-in since we arrived on a red eye flight. That was not possible since a party was checking out that morning. The host] said we could store our luggage but did not tell us how to go about it and did not respond to our requests on how to do it. Then about 4 hours after check in he asked if we were able to store our luggage! Overall a less than satisfactory experience. We specifically needed 3 separate bedrooms and bathrooms and since one did not work it marred the experience. For this high price range we expected a lot more.

Missed my several needed items and n kitchen.

6 of us stayed for 8 days. GOOD: very clean, fairly spacious apartment, convenient location in Casco Viejo, host would respond to contacts. BUT: 1) We had to air out the apartment on arrival because of a strong mold/mildew smell. The odor dissipated in the apartment except for the upper back bedroom, where I found a full but unplugged dehumidifier, which I promptly emptied and put back on. I had to run the dehumidifier continuously while there and emptied it 11 more times. I had to limit my time in that room because of the odor and the itchiness it caused my eyes. 2) There were no basic cleaning supplies in the apartment— no broom, no vacuum, no mop, nada! If we had broken a glass or tracked dirt in, we wouldn’t have had a way to deal with it. 3) The “fully equipped kitchen” had no oven mitts or dish towels and there was not enough tableware or glassware for us all to sit down and eat with, among other limitations. 4) Only 6 towels and 3 hand towels were provided. When we requested washcloths and extra towels, we were told “washcloths aren’t standard in Panama” and a flat “no” to extra towels. Our host was Mauricio of AmazInn Places. He glossed over the mold/mildew smell every time, but probably because of that and the lack of cleaning supplies, he provided a free cleaning of the apartment on our 4th day there, sent some extra glasses and tableware (nothing else), and provided a free clean towel service once. Refused partial refund; said odor should be expected
