We stayed here for an all female hockey tournament. The location was fairly central to both arenas. For a budget friendly hotel, this was by far my most comfortable one I’ve been to in a while and had a nice kitchenette in our room

Arrived by Taxi. No onsite dining, and limited options within walking distance. Room was very good, and the staff was freindly. Vending machines did not work with Credit card.

This is a budget property and it shows. Despite booking for three people, there were only enough towels for two. More than once, we had to request additional towels. I had the impression that the hotel was trying to maximize its profit, given the miniscule toiletries that were provided. The room that we had was on the second floor. There is no elevator, so if you have to lug you baggage up and down the stairs. The room itself was decent enough, although we had booked this room because it was supposed to accommodate three people, one of whom needed to sleep on the sofa bed. The only problem is that pulling out the sofa bed meant that there was no space for the table that was there. We ended up moving the table to the closet. There is only one source of AC/heating, and it is in the "living room" where the sofa bed is, so if you happened to be sleeping in the bedroom, you may have had a problem with it being too hot/cold. In retrospect, I would pay a bit more for a better experience. I would note, however, that there are many hotels/motels on the same road in Surrey (literally, right beside each other!) and it is not clear to me that any of these would be any better.

The rooms were not good in condition. We are unable to sleep because due to bad smell. We used the vending machine for taking the toothbrush kit we paid but brush got stuck in another row we called the staff 5-6 times for help but nobody came. This was the worse experience for me and for my family. As per price this is not worth. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone.

The room itself was spacious and comfortable. No elevators though so with heavy bags it is a bit of a heave. Parking is also tight and the design of the lobby and the property doesn't give a feeling of safety. But it was fine as a place to stay.

I had read reviews on Google that painted this property in a bad light. I'm happy to say those reviews were definitely not my experience. Both the check-in and check-out staff were friendly and were quick to check me in. The room we were in was freshly renovated with new carpets and tile throughout. Also the cabinets and everything was new except the tub which did have a discoloration on it from being older but it was clean. I recommend this hotel as a great budget friendly option when coming to Surrey. It worked great as a place to sleep and also had a full kitchen in it so I could prepare meals and skip the ever expensive restaurants in the area. Will be back there sometime when I come back to the Vancouver area.

This place is okay for a 1 night crash pad. I don’t recommend staying here for an actual vacation stay. Stayed here after going to Whistler and it was close-ish to the Abbotsford airport. There were some sketchy people out front/in the lobby when we arrived (possibly a place for ladies of the night?). Only “visitor” parking out front so we had to park in the back. Checking in was fine and the customer service was okay. Nothing notable good or bad. The amount of camera footage at the desk is kind of crazy and had me confused since it’s Surrey, feels like you’re being watched. They do take a $200 deposit which seems excessive as most hotels are $100. The room leaves a lot to be desired. Definitely not clean and didn’t want to use the shower due to rust (?) on the bottom. The bedding was super rough and pilled and the A/C didn’t work.

The service at this hotel was extremely disappointing. They didn’t provide basic amenities like toothpaste or shampoo, and the bedsheets did not seem clean. I felt very itchy during my stay and even came back with rashes on my arms. The room had a strong unpleasant odor, and the comforter smelled like sweat. Calling for extra towels took over 30 minutes each time, which shows a lack of proper service. Overall, the experience was terrible. I will never stay here again and I do not recommend this hotel.

From the unsafe location to the smell to the makeup/blood smears in the bathroom the room adjoining door being jimmy rigged shut with a night stand and dirty cigarette ash all over the place not to mention burn holes in the bed we couldn’t stand to be in room longer than 5 minutes. Naturally the manager was unapologetic and unhelpful refusing to offer my partner and I a refund instead telling him to dispute it with Expedia it’s just how the rooms are

The photos on hotel.com. The place looked OK. But I wish I had of selected to pay on site because if I saw the room I wouldn’t have stayed there I recommend to give this place a miss. I’m actually going to contact the manager with the photos I took of the room. The dilapidation of the furniture when I pulled back the bedsheet it had marks and stains on it. I couldn’t sleep at all. Also, the wall switches, especially the bathroom were dirty, and there was black mould on the shower curtain and the hairdryer did not work. I would recommend Hotels.com remove them from their list.

Serious security issue. On my first night of three at this hotel, I (foolishly) had not double bolted my room’s door. At 8:30 PM my door opened abruptly and in stumbled a very inebriated young man, who was as shocked as I to discover me inside, and apologetically backed out loudly claiming “this is the third time he’s done this to me!” “Call the desk!” he continued “tell him, tell him he f#*@§d up again!” I did indeed. Moments later a teenage night clerk knocked, with the intruder swaying & roaring behind him, to ask me if I was okay . I said yes but that I was very unimpressed with their key card coding process and security! When I stepped out of my room at 7:30 AM the next morning the “intruder “ was snoring loudly, sprawled prone on the hallway floor two doors down. I won’t be staying at Canadian Inn again.

The best thing was the fellow at the desk when we checked in. He was so helpful in helping us get to our Dr. Appointment as we were new to the area. He even put the map on my phone for me so we could not go wrong. So many thanks for that. Terri Glass

They messed up checking us into wrong room and asked us to move at 10 pm. As well, bed was hard and sheets didn't fit on bed. 2 pillows flat and hard. Not a good sleep at all

We booked the Canadian Inn and when we arrived we told they had placed us in another property. Not what was booked! No coffee maker, TV did not work well fuzzy and only a few channels. I had stayed at the Canadian inn before and was disappointed they put me in a lower grade place, because I booked with Expedia!

We stayed here for an all female hockey tournament. The location was fairly central to both arenas. For a budget friendly hotel, this was by far my most comfortable one I’ve been to in a while and had a nice kitchenette in our room

Check-in was quick. The room was clean. The housekeeping staff are friendly. Some of the features of the room could use a bit of attention. All in all a good value place to stay. About 6km from Skytrain but a bus runs right out front so not too bad for access to public transit. Keep updating your rooms and I will definitely keep coming back :)

I had a pleasant stay at Canadian Inn. I found the room and bathroom clean. There is parking space in the rear for the guests. This property has elevator. Newton exhange is not far. There are bus stops nearby.

The room itself was spacious and comfortable. No elevators though so with heavy bags it is a bit of a heave. Parking is also tight and the design of the lobby and the property doesn't give a feeling of safety. But it was fine as a place to stay.

From the unsafe location to the smell to the makeup/blood smears in the bathroom the room adjoining door being jimmy rigged shut with a night stand and dirty cigarette ash all over the place not to mention burn holes in the bed we couldn’t stand to be in room longer than 5 minutes. Naturally the manager was unapologetic and unhelpful refusing to offer my partner and I a refund instead telling him to dispute it with Expedia it’s just how the rooms are

We went to this property after arriving in Vancouver to find that our Air B&B had cancelled our reservation with no warning at all! We had nowhere to go. All the hotels in Vancouver were fully booked. Eventually all we could find was this hotel in Surrey. It was very DIRTY. It was very NOISY! No breakfast. Just a very basic room. DO NOT book this hotel unless you are desperate.

This is a clean, refurbished older facility and the area surrounding it is tidy and fenced. Located on a major artery in Surrey BC. Easy to find. Enjoy this cost effective hotel/motel. Suggest: more eating/shopping info on website for international guests...... not just fast food please.

I had read reviews on Google that painted this property in a bad light. I'm happy to say those reviews were definitely not my experience. Both the check-in and check-out staff were friendly and were quick to check me in. The room we were in was freshly renovated with new carpets and tile throughout. Also the cabinets and everything was new except the tub which did have a discoloration on it from being older but it was clean. I recommend this hotel as a great budget friendly option when coming to Surrey. It worked great as a place to sleep and also had a full kitchen in it so I could prepare meals and skip the ever expensive restaurants in the area. Will be back there sometime when I come back to the Vancouver area.

There were bugs in the bed during the night. The shower and sink were clogged, so we couldn’t even take a shower. There was also no water bottle provided. Overall, the room and service were very disappointing, and our whole stay was ruined.

Extremely Disappointing Stay – Worst Hotel Experience in 30 Years The check-in process was terrible. I had booked two rooms: one for two adults, and another for two adults and a 12-year-old child. On arrival, I was told that the room type I had booked for two adults and a child was not available. As a result, all three guests had to spend the night sharing a single bed, which was completely unacceptable given that the booking had been made for three people. The condition and atmosphere of the property were equally concerning. The sink in our room did not work and had no running water, and there were cockroaches in the bathroom. The soundproofing was so poor that we could clearly hear guests snoring in neighbouring rooms. There were also people smoking what appeared to be cannabis around the property. Our room smellt awful. Had to go to store to get air freshener to try and cover up the smell. I don’t feel like our sheets were clean. There was hair all over our sheets and pillows in both beds. Hair all in the bathroom too. Pillows were super thin and bed was just okay. Would not stay here again.
