Some of the facilities were definitely on their last leg, the blanket was as thin as a sheet, and there was absolutely no place on the property for our dog to relieve themselves. But it was clean, the staff were helpful and friendly, and the price was very reasonable.

The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The mattress was more comfortable than our 6 month old Sealy posturepedic plus hybrid. Older property but well maintained, well lit parking lot and close to restaurants and the freeway (I-40). We met our daughter for breakfast so we didn't eat there. Good value and recently updated although room 103 needs a new shower head. Our daughter is in the military and we will stay again on the next trip.

Room was a storage area for handicapped equipment. There were wheelchairs, walkers, canes, and other things. There were bugs around the bed. I pulled up with a car and trailer, and the first thing I was treated with was “I don’t know where you are going to park that, and I will cancel your reservation! This place is a joke. Not recommended!

I usually give great reviews but…the item of note took place while I was taking a shower. I was washing my face with a never used folded wash cloth when I felt something. A big glob of long very dark hair fell to the bottom of the tub. I’m 67 years old and have always been blonde, now turning white and have shoulder length hair. This has to be the grossest thing that has ever happened to me while staying anywhere. The other thing worth mentioning is that every time you walk up to the bed there is a toe kick area that is metal. It’s loud. I was surprised it is metal instead of wood. We were downstairs and it’s pretty noisy when someone is upstairs. On the positive the room was very well done. I feel bad about complaining about this stuff.

Bed was comfortable but the pillows were hard, personal preference. The a/c was off and on all night which makes for restless sleep. It’s hot, it’s cold, on and on. The shower was an issue for me. No shelves or hooks. I had two choices. Put my things on the toilet lid or on the back of the toilet. Both gross. There used to be a hook on the back of the door but it was gone. In the shower there used to be a small shelf to put shampoo and soap but that was also gone. Breakfast wasn’t bad but it was highly monitored. Many signs to make sure it’s done correctly. Nice couple running things but we probably won’t stay here again

This hotel is a hidden gem in Barstow!! The owners are kind, friendly, and helpful. They cook waffles and eggs to order for breakfast. The hotel is newly remodeled, and the room felt brand new. The beds were very comfortable & the room was very clean. Small fridge & microwave in each room & a cute towel animal held the soaps & lotion in the bathroom. The room was spacious & quiet.

One night stay to our final destination. The room was nice, clean and all amenities needed were provided (with the exception of no Kleenex). The air conditioner was super loud in our room, not sure it’s the same in all rooms). Thank goodness I had a pair of ear plugs. Bed very comfortable but pillows were flat (maybe I’m a little picky 😊). The breakfast had plenty to choose from and made to order eggs was a very nice treat!!) There’s a great Mexican restaurant directly across the street, a one minute walk. For the room price, it was a great place to stay! I would definitely stay here again. The management takes great pride in the upkeep of this hotel. Thank you!!

The area is living off its fame of Route 66 but has an unpleasant smell and is run down. The accommodation is clean but tired. AC is very very noisy and therefore couldn't get a good nights sleep. Breakfast area rather small.

Basic motel - bed comfy, TV works, 2 chairs and a desk/table. The host gave me all the info I needed to know about the room and Wi-Fi and local restaurants when I checked in. Gave me an upstairs room which definitely has the nice view. Place feels secure with good night lighting. Can hear our neighbors moving in their rooms if they bump connecting walls, but don’t hear TV or conversations. Haven’t tried breakfast yet but guessing it’ll be fine. Appropriate for the price. I would come back.

Ms. Bindi and Ms, Nikki were awesome! Ms. Bindi greeted us when we checked in and was super pleasant! Since it was around dinner time when we checked in yesterday, she pulled out a binder with a list of restaurants to make it easier on us. The room was extremely clean and quite nice! The remodeling of the room and office were indicative of much more costly lodging. The bed and pillows were very comfy and plentiful lighting. Both nightstands had USB ports and outlets on the front. The room came with a dorm size fridge and microwave as well. The breakfast was yummy! I had waffles, but there were also bagels, toast, and juice. I do love coffee, so I was able to walk to Dutch Bros after enjoying some waffles! Finally, our purpose was to drive to Anaheim to pick up my wedding dress. Unfortunately, I left my wedding shoes in our room. As soon as they discovered my shoes, Ms. Bindi called me to let me know! I highly recommend the lodging, breakfast, and staff here at the Rodeway Inn on Historic Route 66! You definitely won't be disappointed with the lodging or cost!

Customer service was exceptional! Called to let them know we’ll be there after 10 and the lady on the phone was nice from the get go. When we got to the hotel, we met the lady and she was so friendly and had a great conversation with her and asked us where we coming from and where we headed too..all that. But the best part was meeting their dogs Pistol and mullet! Such lovely smiling dogs :) made me miss our pug a little less ha ha. The breakfast was a nice addition too and met the other guy who’s his brother and let us say goodbye to the dogs. Could tell they take if of their business well. Great family and great experience!

Very friendly family owner business. I really appreciated the fact that they knew every car coming and going in the lot which made it feel very safe. I was nervous about leaving my packed car but felt safe knowing they keep an eye out. And they knew exactly every family/group checked in. It felt very personalized.

It took a while for someone to come. They serve a small breakfast. My family was sleeping in so my husband ran to get us food and brought some back. Said the owner got mad and told him the whole family should wake up and come. It was just paper plates and not that much food so we weren’t sure what the big deal was. But overall it was fine for our need to just have a place to sleep and a bit of food before moving on.

Great little motel on Route 66. Pet friendly just confirm before you go. The people were friendly and made sure we had what we needed. Quiet, clean and nice selection for breakfast. It’s off the interstate so you don’t have to deal with truck interstate noise all night.

The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The mattress was more comfortable than our 6 month old Sealy posturepedic plus hybrid. Older property but well maintained, well lit parking lot and close to restaurants and the freeway (I-40). We met our daughter for breakfast so we didn't eat there. Good value and recently updated although room 103 needs a new shower head. Our daughter is in the military and we will stay again on the next trip.

The front desk staff was courteous and helpful. There was also a friendly canine greeter to welcome us. The room was clean, and the hotel was convenient to restaurants. The only problem we had was that the room was noisy (ice maker nearby, road noise, and loud a/c unit). We would still choose this hotel again when passing through town.

Good place if youre looking to stay into town for inexpensive. When im looking for a place I always need it to have breakfast included as I travel with my young children. This is a plus. The rooms are decent and its a quiet area. Ultimately a great choice for convenience.

A useful place to stay if you are on Route 66 or similar road trip. The town is a working centre for the railroads so there’s little else for the traveller. We had a few check in issues when the reception had no booking for us but luckily had room however the one given had not been made and was as the previous guest had left it but once we got room two we found it was clean and fine for a nights stay. Breakfast was buffet style and lots of choice. Parking in the courtyard was ideal. A few places to get food along the street.

It was a comfortable bed and clean room. Breakfast was good. Could have used some bacon or sausage with the eggs, which was not available. The area is off old Rte 66. Which is very economically depressed. Many closed and boarded up buildings. Homeless walking around. The night I stayed, one of the guests had her car window smashed in the middle of the night and her car broken into. Right in the hotel parking lot. High crime area.

We stayed at seven motels in the last couple of weeks and this one was by far the best. The owner was very friendly, the motel room was very well kept and clean, and the breakfast that is served was the best of any Motel we have been in. The owner cooked eggs for everybody and made waffles for anybody that wanted them and had numerous other choices already available including cut up strawberries, yogurt, juices, numerous types of bread, cappuccino, it was excellent.

Rooms were very clean, quiet, and comfortable. The owner was very friendly and cooked eggs fresh, as well as the waffles, for each guest. The parking lot was well lit, and had security cameras.I would definitely stay here again, if I stayed in Barstow.

Hotel was ok and clean. Usual facilities. Staff were friendly. We had a room looking directly out onto a wall so it was quite dark in the room but other than that the room was comfortable enough. Breakfast options were limited.

We unexpectedly ended up at this hotel after our camper broke down and had to be towed from the I-40. We chose this hotel mainly because it was very close to the garage where our camper had been taken and because it was very affordable. We booked through Hotels.com and called afterwards just to make sure everything was okay. The staff were extremely friendly on the phone. Even though we arrived in the middle of the night, we could ring the bell and were personally and warmly welcomed. The hotel is simple and inexpensive, but perfectly fine for the price you pay. Don’t expect luxury, but the value for money is very good. The next day, we had arranged a rental car ourselves. The hotel staff kindly offered to drive us to the rental company free of charge, simply to help us out. They certainly didn’t have to do that, and we really appreciated their kindness. Since we had to continue our journey without the camper, they also allowed us to leave behind some belongings that we could no longer take with us. We ended up here purely because of bad luck, but the kindness, hospitality and personal service were exceptional. When you are stranded far from home, this kind of help makes a huge difference.
