Really nice hotel, clean and modern rooms and the common areas are nice too (the lobby area has an indoor fire pit that they turn on during the day and evening). Parking is available, but they only have limited number of spaces, so it can be challenging if the hotel is full. Nice hotel though, I would stay here again if I was in the area.

View was beautiful, but not as close to the ocean as I would like. It's a mile away. Clean room. Bed was comfortable and overall we had a quiet night. I recommend you go out for breakfast. The café 's breakfast burrito, was likely reheated from frozen, so bad in texture and not worth the price. Parking cost $22 per night.

We stayed at Hotel Hermosa for 4 nights in LA to end a 4-week road trip, and couldn’t have picked a better spot. Value for money is great compared to a lot of other options further north in Santa Monica & Venice etc. Very modern hotel and facilities - with a pool, hot tub, garden w/ pool tables and other games on request, on-site cafe that serves breakfast/brunch as well as very decent parking prices ($22/night). Location is great, 15 min walk to Hermosa beach and drive-able distance to any other beach along The Strand. Rooms were great, perfect size for 3 adults. We had an issue with a neighbouring guest on night one and the staff were excellent in assisting us with switching rooms and also upgrading our view to the very nice courtyard at no extra cost. Wouldn’t hesitate to book here again when visiting.

My only complaint would be the rooms are not cleaned thoroughly. The mattresses in our room had all these big brown stains which made me uncomfortable since I didn’t know what they were. I moved the mattresses around and found all this nasty gunk and dust on the bed frames. Staff was very nice and attentive. Overall is a nice hotel.

Housekeeping was phenomenal. They really did great. The checkin and check out experiences left a lot to be desired. No warm greeting, no information about the property, not even a thank you. A good value overall.

The room had fleas and smelled like mildew, and at the end of our state they charged us for parking and told us at the desk at check-in that we were only supposed to pay for overnight stay for a guest. The lady at checkout was rude.

Super cute place, comfy beds, the air conditioning is quite loud, unfortunately, and the rooms are on the small side that I love the decor. Jacuzzi was nice and the patio has a great ocean view.

This is my 2nd time staying at this hotel and I have loved it both times. This time I upgraded to the loft suite and the cost was reasonable especially for how amazing the room was. 2 levels, balcony on each with a view of the ocean, plenty of space, and very clean. The bed was insanely comfortable and housekeeping was wonderful, refreshed the room daily and made sure I was stocked on towels. Plenty of space in their parking garage and I felt safe leaving my car there and walking around the neighborhood. My only concern with the room was the upstairs balcony, it would have been very easy for someone in the room next to me to access my balcony from theirs but I just kept it locked when I wasn’t upstairs. Check in took less than 5 minutes and I was easily able to check out on my phone. Would absolutely stay again probably every time I’m in the area. Whether you’re in a basic or upgraded room it’s perfect. And a 5 minute drive from the beach? Can’t beat it!

Room was clean but it’s an old building so it could use some work. For example, paint was peeling in the bathroom. Also, the walls are thin, you can hear every time a door closes in the hallway.

The location provides convenient access to both Manhattan Beach and Hermosa which we appreciated, but right on the 1 meant we heard a lot of sirens day and night. The walls are incredibly thin and we could hear entire conversations from the room next door, including at all hours of the night and early morning, making it very difficult to sleep. It was either too warm or too cool in the room, and a mildew smell permeated the room when using the AC. We thought the room had a balcony based on pictures, but it didn't. We did have a view of the ocean, however. The pool was too cold to enjoy. The parking garage was easily accessible and overall the staff was courteous and helpful.

Hotel Hermosa is a ‘nice enough’ hotel close to the beach. It’s clearly an old hotel that has had a facelift and it just about gets away with it, without showing its age too much. The decor is funky and the place is clean, our room has a beautiful view of the ocean. Problem with being an older hotel is that the walls are very thin, leading to us having to call reception 3 times at 4am because our neighbour had his TV blasting all night long and there was a party down the hallway that we could hear very loudly. The in room AC units are also very old (but covered by an attractive looking box to modernise the room) which means they are very loud every time they click on and off, as was our fridge which sounded like a small motorcycle every time the compressor clicked on to cool it. The symphony of the AC, Fridge and our selfish neighbour lead to a pretty miserable night. Overall the hotel is fine, but it’s vastly overpriced for what you get.

Paid extra for a balcony and a view and it was horrible. It was in a corner and to even see over it you had to be on your tippy toes. The shower head had no pressure.

I reserved a room with the beach view and was given a view of the street instead. Traffic was loud. Room was clean but dark and hot. A/C wasn't working well. We couldn't draw the blinds without traffic looking into the room.

Liked that is was in walking distance to the beach. The staff were friendly. My room had a issue with the air conditioning and told the front desk staff about it and they were quick to inform the maintenance crew about the issue and it was fixed within a couple of hours.

Rude unprofessional front desk . Made me wait on my bday to check in for there at 1130 didn’t check me in until after 330. Terrible front desk attitude. No accountability for there attitudes or run down property. Sprinter webs in room and in balcony with spiders and they only make excuses. Discrimination blatant throughout its employees and property . Stay away

Definitely not recommended!!!! I left my jacket in the room and called five times, but each time they said they would check and put me on hold for over 15 minutes before hanging up. The fifth time I was put on hold for over 20 minutes, so I called the sixth time to complain and they finally found my jacket. In addition to the terrible service, the room was dimly lit and old, so I would never recommend this hotel.

The beds were too soft and we both woke with sore backs. The remote for the tv and the USB charging port on the night stand didn’t work. The check in process was slow and they seemed understaffed. On a positive note, the room was clean and a good value for the price.

Had a pleasant stay at the hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the location was convenient. Overall, a good experience and would consider staying here again.

the room i booked was not the room i got. i booked a 2 story suite. it was supposed to have a hot tub. it was supposed to have a king bed upstairs in the loft then a room downstairs with a couch and fold out bed. when i got there they said my room had been sold. instead i got a standard room with 2 queen beds. no hot tub, no upstairs downstairs. not even a suite.

Daniel the guy at the front was very professional and accommodating. He also gave us a bottle of red wine on the house. We had a great stay. The only issue was that you can hear a lot of noise as people pass by in the hallway. The girl in the room next to us was really loud on her phone and could hear her whole conversation. I would rate the hotel a 4 star.

Check in was really nice and easy. There were some restaurants within walking distance. Easy to catch an Uber. Walking to the hermosa beach pier was about a 30 minute walk or a $12 uber ride. Rooms were clean and modernized with some cool touches. The rooftop deck thing was pretty awesome!

Great stay in Hermosa! Conveniently located about 15 minute walk down the hill to the beach. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Loved the little touches of decor - gave the property a boutique feel. Was cold and windy out of the patio at night so the fire pits were much appreciated. Our room was on the street side of the building so we had quite a bit of road noise so request a room on the west side if possible. The onsite parking was a big plus.

You are about a 1/2 mile from the beach and restaurants and shops down by the beach. It isn’t a long walk but worth keeping in mind. You are also paying less as you are not as close. The hotel is on a major road way so you so do hear road noise even in the early morning hours. We would stay there again.

Great hotel with good location, next to a trail that connects to Hermosa Pier. Very nice area with lots of little shops and restaurants around.

The location is central to all things in the South Bay if you’re driving. The facility feels very safe, although the views are less than desirable if you face PCH. The pool is also rather sad, though the courtyard is very large and sunny. I also found it to be very dark inside both times I’ve stayed in different rooms. Overall it’s a clean and well appointed hotel

We liked this hotel a lot. It was very clean and most of the staff was very friendly and kind. We would definitely stay here again. My only nit would be that it was impossible to reach them by phone. It kept a constant busy signal no matter which number I’d call either from Expedia or the internet. Not sure if they were having phone issues or what. We loved it though. Really clean which I appreciated so much and loved that they had a restaurant for breakfast and fresh coffee almost every morning. One morning they didn’t for some reason, human related I’m sure. They were great! We will be back!

View was beautiful, but not as close to the ocean as I would like. It's a mile away. Clean room. Bed was comfortable and overall we had a quiet night. I recommend you go out for breakfast. The café 's breakfast burrito, was likely reheated from frozen, so bad in texture and not worth the price. Parking cost $22 per night.

Hotel is in a good location near the Hermosa and Manhattan Beach downtowns. I wish the small coffee shop would have opened during our stay. Anyhow there is a grocery store and coffee shop across the street.

We were told coffee and breakfast was included. The first day it didn't exist and the second day (if it did indeed open) wasn't available until after our morning check out. Two bottles of water on the first day only!

Stayed here 4 days visiting our son. We would recommend this place to anyone. Love the onsite cafe and coffee. Staff was kind and friendly. Views were beautiful.

This hotel is nice in general, clean with new rooms , hotel has a cute little outdoor pool, jacuzzi, a very big outdoor recreation zone, cool modern lobby and coffee/smoothie bar. But free wifi is weak , they charge for good internet ( without your permission, just adding to your bill), they charge for clear bottles of water ( didn’t inform in advance), those cheap details a bit disappointing..But location is great-20 min walk to Manhattan beach and 25 min to walk to Hermosa Beach with nice bars, great piers. Would recommend to visit Lazy Acres-market on opposite side-it’s a good supermarket with great bakery, coffee, fruit and salad and hot food bars. Hotel is far away from Hollywood and Downtown , Long Beach, Santa Monica .

Overall, it was a good experience. Unfortunately, neither TV worked, nor the original iron. I'd also take a look at the sliding door locks. I don't blame the hotel for our noisy neighbors, because they handled it with relative speed, but just know that the walls are a bit thin.

We didn't have a balcony,we were placed in a room facing a busy street,the traffic was so loud it was hard to sleep. Tried to go in the hot tub,the water was way too hot.pool temperature was ok.

Séjour impeccable, mais le lit était juste un enfer il y avait un trou dans le matelas et le canapé lit n’est pas du tout supportable. Je trouve l’hôtel bien placé mais cher pour pur les prestations proposées.
