The Grand at Trafalgar Square

The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was good with plenty of options. The biggest reason I choose this hotel was its location. It's really close to two Underground stations, and close to a lot of sites of interest. Some of the sites (Parlement, Westminster Abbey, and Trafalgar Square) are a short walk away. If I am in London again, I will definitely stay there.

Fantastic location in central Westminster for seeing London's sites. It is a half-block walk to Trafalgar Sq. Charing Cross Station is just 3 minutes walk, and you'll find nice pubs nearby. The front desk staff (especially Nalin) was very helpful and arranged luggage storage and earlier than expected check-in since our four person group arrived before noon. The hotel has a breakfast restaurant but it is overly expensive. Walk several doors down the street and you will find similar for half the cost. The ground floor pub/bar was relaxing with a pleasant staff. Like most hotels in Europe room amenities are limited and the rooms are less spacious. Get used to it. Our group had access to a very nice and spacious guest lounge on the ground floor that offered coffee and tea, plus a nice place for our group to gather and relax. One downside...the two lifts are small, so on mulitiple occasions, the lift arrived at our floor already stuffed with people which required waitihg for the next trip... or the next after that.
