Onera Fredericksburg

Excellent staff and very clean. The Cypress Lodge was lacking comfortable places to sit indoors and out. Something critical that promotes relaxing without television or distractions. Lighting inside was full on or nothing, a dimming light or a small lamp would have been nice. But instead we played with bedside and bathroom lighting to not blind ourselves. Everything was excellent. Still a very enjoyable stay.

The property was planned out well. The amenities on property are a slight walk from most of the units. Property is pet friendly and had pet stations set up around the property to encourage cleanliness. We booked the Lantana Dome, and even though the front of the dome is a giant paneled window it felt very secluded and private. We enjoyed a nice picnic at the “tree house” which was amazing at night as it is lit beautifully with the pools set on the opposite end so you can enjoy a quiet evening while others enjoy the water. It was romantic and cozy and a perfect way to end a night. The staff were amazing, we had a late start in the morning and they were patient and great to deal with. A great place to have a relaxing weekend or vacation.

An absolutely wonderful anniversary getaway! What started as a spontaneous trip to Fredericksburg turned into an anniversary getaway, and Onera ended up being one of the best parts of the entire trip. We absolutely loved our little place. It was private, peaceful, unique, and felt like a getaway rather than just another hotel room. The private hot tub was a huge plus, and we really enjoyed being able to come back in the evening, relax, and have our own space. We also really appreciated that Onera is dog-friendly, since being able to bring our dog makes traveling so much easier for us. There was a small oversight with the complimentary bottle of wine that was supposed to be included with our stay. I sent a message, they immediately apologized, and the bottle was delivered the following day. Things happen, and to me, how a business handles a mistake matters much more than the mistake itself. They handled it perfectly. The property itself is beautiful and different from anywhere we've stayed before. It gave us exactly what we wanted—privacy, relaxation, and something memorable. We spent two nights here and honestly didn't want to leave. We came to Fredericksburg for the bats at Old Tunnel and somehow ended up with a wonderful little anniversary adventure. Onera was a big part of what made the trip so special. We would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend!

It was not what I expected to be. Might be due to hot season in Texas. Anyways, not much beauty in the natural environment of the property. We couldn't even see birds or hear them. I definitely see and hear more natural sounds including birds in my own backyard.

Staff was very helpful getting us settled in. Pools and rooms were in excellent condition and clean. The different accommodations are a wonderful relief from chain hotels. With that said, I’m a certified bed snob. We sleep on memory foam at home. The bed in our room was WAY to soft for us. But we made it work and we will return and try another unit!
