Good location. Small rooms, especially for the two doubles. Doable for a family of 4 for a few nights, but we were on top of each other and out of space. Parking is not guaranteed, and there's only like 7 spots.

It was a quiet stay but parking is first come, first serve and there only about 10 small spots in a parking garage. Tight squeeze. Also there’s no elevator so be prepared to haul your luggage up the stairs.

This hotel listed free parking, which was true. It didn't indicate that there were only 8-10 spots available and it is first come first serve. I had to park in a paid parking garage down a block. It would have been nice to know that. The area around the hotel seemed fairly safe but there was a homeless person digging through the garbage at the end of the parking area.

The hotel was nice it was clean considering the age of the hotel the only problem is the limited parking. The fact that all the rooms are on the second and third level and no elevator. I had to carry all the luggage up to the third level no elevator in the hotel. Pretty centralized. Everything with in walking distance.

The good… Location Free parking. And it’s covered! The staff, both at the front desk and the cleaning crew. The room was updated. The bad… NO ELEVATOR!!! MUST WALK UP STAIRS even to the 1st floor! The person at the front desk did offer to help though. Parking is very limited. We did get a spot and didn’t move the car much, and walked mostly. The building is old. The breakfast area is very small and not a lot of selection. Compared to other hotels, it’s not very good. Rooms are in an open courtyard and you hear everything. Outside the rooms is concrete not carpet so you hear the cleaning carts, people talking and rolling their luggage by, etc. Can also hear the road noise and we were located 1/2 way down the courtyard. Our first night, people were talking loudly for over 30 minutes at 2 am. We called the front desk and they did respond. Took another 15 minutes to resolve. Darth Refrigerator was a frequent visitor in our room. It constantly made a weird noise. You can’t unplug it either. It’s relentless. Cell phone service 1 bar (not the hotel’s fault) and WIFI was extrememly slow. Wad of long black hair in shower drain. Yuck! Hair dryer in our room didn’t work (of course found this out after showering) asked front desk for one and they said it’s locked up in house cleaning closet. Had to wait 1 hour for one. Toilet wasn’t bolted down and slid to side 1/2 in. The safe was a good size, but was not bolted down to anything! You can easily walk off with it. We would not recommend.

We chose this hotel based on other SureStays, cleanliness was good, space is good, however, it showed “parking available” but no mention of parking spots being very limited and staff having priority over guests for parking. We arrived very late at night and had to park a long distance away from the hotel. No elevation available (not handicap friendly) so we have to carry big luggage up the stairs. This should be mentioned

Toilet seat was cracked and loose and had to be noticed by the cleaning staff. Parking was first come first serve without enough spaces for everyone. This is not revealed in the app. Bathroom very outdated. Staff not very helpful.

Bed sheets and blanket not cleaned . We asked to be changed , which it was . A lot of noise at night . Bathroom has signs of mold around bathtub .

I ended up staying only one night and had to cancel the rest of my reservation to book another hotel. Overall, it did not meet my expectations.

I think anyone booking here needs to be aware of the filth and condition of rooms. Though online photos make it seem pretty standard, fine for a comfortable stay - this place was far from that. We walked in to black fingerprints and marks all over our inner bedroom door as well as bathroom door. In addition the bathroom door and walls had severe water damage. When I opened the shower curtain I found black mold in the shower and the shower floor looked to have never been cleaned, completely black again. I was very that have some purell sanitizing wipes. The bed was stiff as a board when we checked for quality and ultimately we didn't find this suitable to stay. The parking is also to be noted. No where in description does it say parking is Limited until after you book. It's first come first serve and if you've been looking around you know SF parking is $$$. So please be aware you may not get "free parking". Overall, I just can't recommend this to anyone and we're working with customer care to get a resolve to this bad experience.

Staff was super friendly and helpful. Building and rooms could use some work. Clean but somewhat dated. Comfortable beds, hot water, everything worked. A little noisy as all doors open to a courtyard. Breakfast was very basic-mostly pre packaged food items.

The staff during check in and check out were so incredibly friendly and kind. We were in the area for a medical family emergency and they made things a lot easier. The free onsite parking is nice but VERY limited. The room was very small compared to others we were in during the week but clean and modern and one of the more comfortable beds. Pillows were a little flat for my liking. Overall property was quiet and well lit. We would stay again. The breakfast was also nice. Waffles, coffee, juices, fruits, yogurts, cereal and to-go pastries.

Very noisy, very thin walls, you can hear everything that goes on around the area. Located on a busy street so you hear all the traffic noise as well. Room was assigned to us but was not ready, we had to wait for the cleaning ladies to change the pillow cases and towels before we went in. Room was clean but we saw a couple cockroaches on the sofa chair so we didn't use it.

They were hand towels and towels provided in the room. One of the hand towels had makeup all over it. As if it was not washed but folded and put back. When taking a shower the next morning the shower (waterspout) fell apart. there was a small window in the room with a cooler below it. There was dry rot very bad. The dry rot went from the outside to the inside of the room down to the floor. There was a severe soft spot in the floor. We avoided the far side of the bed during the entire stay.

This property was wonderful for the price. The rooms were renovated and spacious. The beds were comfortable, ac worked great and plenty of hot water. Parking was limited but we lucked out with a spot. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a great two night stay at this hotel. The room looked like it had recently been modernised and was very clean. The reception/breakfast area was a bit more dated, but was fine. The area is nice and safe and it's possible to walk to areas for sightseeing/dining. There are also many bus stops along this road, making it easy to get around. Overall, I would recommend, its a bargain for the location!

Spent a getaway here, the service was amazing! for the budget its a spacious room in a wonderful safe area with a lot of nightlife. Parking is free and gated overnight, amazing bonus. Also netflix was available! The bathroom was small and plumbing was a small issue, still recommend this stay

The hotel is located well on Lombard st. Lots of dinning options very close by. Easy public transport options close by. Staff were easy to deal with and talk too. Hotel parking is free if at property early enough which is very convenient. Request to stay at back of building. Very loud if near stairs or road due to baggage banging on stairs and tiles, guests talking loud after good night out and just general road noise. Bed was comfortable except pillows are like lounge cushions and near non existent as a pillow. Take your own if you can. Towels were like tea towels, very thin and hard to dry yourself properly. Very good sized fridge for use in room. Overall property value is very good representation.

Walls are thin, we can hear other guests talking. Otherwise everything else is great. Comfortable bed, good shower, friendly staff and perfect location near all the restaurants and shops on the Pier (about 20-30 min walk).

We love the place, room is spacious and maintained it clean. Also it is not right next the street, so you can’t hear the cars. The place is near a lot of good restaurants like Home plate. Although during our stay, we heard screaming and yelling from outside our room in the middle of the night. But will definitely will come back.

Location was pretty good for exploring the wharf area and Golden Gate Bridge area. One of the reasons we picked this hotel is because of the continental breakfast. However, the breakfast had very limited options. My son can't eat dairy, and the ONLY non-dairy option was oatmeal packets, which he doesn't like. (they also had two types of cereal, but no non-dairy milk, waffles, coffee, orange and apple juice, apples, yogurt - no non-dairy options). Even toast or bagels (which I feel like is pretty standard) would've been great. So I ended up having to find breakfast for us anyway. Our first day there we came back around 9pm and our key cards for our room weren't working. When we went to get help, the front desk person wasn't at the office (there was a sign on the locked door saying "back in 10 minutes). We waited for over 20 minutes on the sidewalk in the cold, my son incredibly tired. The person did finally come back and we were able to get into our room, but not the best experience. The refrigerator froze our food. There was no cold water in the sink, only scalding hot water. We had to wash our hands in the tub. We let them know these things - hopefully they get them fixed before the next people use that room! I guess you get what you pay for.

The staff there deserve a 10/10, they helped me so much in my stay and provided me with assistance every time. The property itself was pretty decent I liked it. It is close to the pier and to certain food areas.

The men checking us in said only 1 car per room he said it’s a limited amount. Which I didn’t see in the policy , either way I told him that’s fine can I pay for another parking? He said he didn’t know how to do that! I asked to speak to a manager he said no manager was on site! Then he said we could have us pay $25 for another car parking. He had the worst attitude!!!! Not helpful at all!! Train your people better and teach them how to run a hotel before leaving them alone !!!

The staff at the hotel went above and beyond to make sure we knew where we were going and how to get there. They had recommendations for restaurants and travel means (including what would be cheapest for our party). Housekeeping was pleasant and helpful. The hotel itself is older, but we had no complaints. (The shower temperature was a little difficult to adjust, but we got there!)

This property had no elevator and I was in crutches, but staff was very helpful in helping me with my luggage and bringing to my room. Only complaint, ice machine on 2nd floor, and when asked for late check out, only 30 min more. Other than that, great area and really nice and helpful workers.

Great base to explore the highlights of the city. Safe, quiet location with good Indian restaurant next door. Limited car parking so get there early if you're bringing your own vehicle.

Location was great - close to shops and dining a block away. Great access to transportation. Walkable to Ghiradelli Square. Lovely park nearby. Very basic walk up hotel with central stairwell. Dated but clean. Basic breakfast but enough for what we needed. Best Wesern chain so delivered the basics we expected. Good value for money.

Excellent location

Absolutely happy with the location on Lombard street. Close to fisherman's warf with public transportation or $10 drive via Uber. Free parking is a highlight not to be unnoticed.

Bus service is near. About a 20 minute walk to see Alcatraz Island. Shops and restaurants are close by.

It was just an ok place. Reason we picked it was for free parking, wasn’t going to spend $85 per night to park. Place was old and outdated. Continental breakfast was one waffle maker, yogurts, bananas, two cereals and coffee. Placed was always packed and couldn’t get anything. Room was clean but outdated. No blackout curtains and outside lights were on all night beaming into the room. Every night we heard people coming in yelling and running around at 2-3 in the morning. It was over a mile away from the piers so be prepared for a walk and walking back with our family at night was a bit scary with the homeless and people under the influence. Would not recommend. Wishes I stayed by the wharf and paid for parking.

Most terrible stay on more than 10 hotels from our whole roadtrip!! No bater for the waffle machine some mornings...no bread, nothing to eat. Other mornings no coffe!!! How is this possible in an hotel. The staff was...slow and each time I asked for something...they wasn't able to redolve the situation... by the way that was also the most expensive stay from the 2 weeks!!!

The rooms were clean and bed was comfy. Some room amenities like soap and hair dryer were not good though. Staff was very nice. However the breakfast doesn't actually have hot breakfast I think, just basic milk/coffee and cereal and some snacks. But the cleanliness and comfort made it pretty good overall, and there were many restaurants nearby.

The Room was small but enough for 3 people and 3 Nights. It was unfotunatly loud in night when people walking around and did not respect other. Breakfast was ok with fresh waffles. Parking is limited. Close to Bus or Walk to the harbour. Queen beds were smaller as usual. Staff was friendly and helpful.

The property is old, and the open space outside the rooms gets wet when it rains. The water accumulates and can cause accidents, as it's slippery. The free breakfast is the same food every day, cereal, pancakes, and fruits, and sometimes no more food left. Anyway, the property served its purpose for sleeping and for basic necessities with no other amenities available.

Stayed at this property for 3 nights, having booked two rooms for our group. Firstly the Staff were friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. The rooms were clean and tidy. Breakfast was included and was available between 6:30 - 9:30 every morning. It was slightly limited mainly consisting of waffles, but a few other items were available, such as oats or cereal. For a night or two this was OK but after the third night, I struggled to eat any more waffles and syrup. As noted by other reviews, the seating area is quite small but it seemed fine to take breakfast back to our rooms if they were busy. Overall, we were pleased with our stay and would stay here again if back in the area in the future.

Great location with parking. Breakfast is not worth it thought, but there are good places around for that.
