Very comfortable and attractive home away from home. I was there for 31 days . From snow melt to blooming Magnolias and daffodils ! A great private location with trees all around . Plenty of parking. Comfortable furniture. Fireplace . Very little traffic on the road infront. Recommended.

Overall I want to say I had a positive experience in this house. It has a great location, huge property and cool sunrises and sunsets you can see from the house. The house is an interesting mix of very modern, and old-school Lancaster (the updated parts were great, the rest.....). While the house was clean, and had everything we needed, there are some parts of the house that I was surprised about. A hardwood floorboard in the kitchen that I could almost bounce on, and in the basement, the floor was raised in 1 part where all of us would inevitably trip or hit our foot as we walked by. The "barn" door on the first floor that would always crash into the floor vent. Another vent in the kitchen sticking up 1/2 an inch. Little things like this that could make the house amazing if they were fixed. Also, they need a keurig, I was surprised for some of its modern aspects, this was missing. Overall we did have a really nice time, but I think I'd wait to return until some of these items were repaired.

We were an adult family of six (three couples). Each of us had a king size bed with en suite. Plenty of accommodations.. full kitchen, linens, perfect for a night in or after a busy day, a cozy bed to come home to. Beyond clean, nicely decorated and the grounds were inviting. The location was perfect for us. We visited Sight & Sound theater and enjoyed the Amish markets; all within 10 minutes from the house. Plenty of things to do nearby as well as places to eat. Our two night visit was therapeutic. We hope to be back soon. Cheers to Becky and Nathan for use of this charming home and thank you for letting us stay! Highly recommend….

We loved this home for our son's wedding at a nearby venue. We had Grandparents on the 1st floor, Groom in the basement apartment and parents & sibling on the 2nd floor. We loved the charm of the original parts of the house with all the modern updates. Plenty of space indoors and out. The barn doors and decor made great backdrops for some pre-wedding pix before we headed over to the venue. We would stay in this home again if visiting the area in the future.

This cottage was beautiful and spacious for our family’s long weekend stay. The location is right next to the outlets and major Lancaster shopping areas, but secluded enough to give privacy and a “getaway”. The house is well stocked with dishes and laid out with several good spots to relax. It was too hot for us to spend much time outside but the back porch and yard are great places to gather or for kids. Note that there is not full A/C upstairs though there is a window unit in one room and some fans. But other room does get very warm with door closed for sleeping. Owners were responsive and made everything easy. I’d highly recommend this stay to any families or friends visiting Lancaster. Top knotch!

The cottage was lovely and surprisingly quiet considering it is on a busy road. The kids loved the little pool table and we enjoyed the fire pit out back for roasting marshmallows. My only suggestion would be for a few more kitchen items like a good can opener, measuring cups and a couple more pots and pans. The area is nice and easy to take short hops to Bird in Hand and Lititz. We enjoyed the house and hope to come back next year!

The home needs work, the roof leaked (rained about every day while there) stairs to go upstairs was very steep and not for elderly folks, no door on stairs leading to basement. Basement needs improvement as shower and sink felt and looked dirty. On the plus side, the beds were very comfortable, kitchen and dining room had been upgraded.

The house is older and is in need of some updates. Stairs to upstairs bedroom are extremely narrow and steep with a sharp curve. Difficult to get luggage upstairs. Stairs to downstairs are steep as well, but less dangerous. House was clean and was in a convenient location.

The location of this home was ideal for being minutes away from theaters, restaurants and outlet shopping. Our only concern was that the couples with handicaps (problem knees) did have difficulty with the narrow enclosure of two showers, as well as with using the stairs, especially the spiraling staircase to the second floor. The home was cozy and provided all the needs necessary for our stay.
The location of this home was ideal for being minutes away from theaters, restaurants and outlet shopping. We are a group of friends who like to stay local in Lancaster County. It allows us to get away for a weekend of fellowship & fun without losing time for travel. This place was perfect!! We all loved the way that this very old house was updated, but yet the age and charm remain. Great, comfortable, king-size beds, which we all enjoyed. There was an issue with the dishwasher not working, but the owners responded immediately!

This is a nice older home. Our stay was nice but there were a few things. It would have been nice to have a code verses a key for the front door. The key was inconvenient because it was only one key and we had to maneuver around that one key. Another review stated this home is not good for older people. If using the upstairs, the stairs are narrow. My 74 yo aunt was in one of the rooms. When using the bath tub,,the tub was not suited for her, because she fell. There are no grips in the tub. ($15 on amazon) Thank God she was not hurt. The barn doors at the entrance for the bedroom and the bathroom need door guides ($20 amazon). My uncle almost pull the door off. The doors also need some more privacy because you can see into the bathroom. Not much, but enough that you don't feel secure. You shouldn't be able to see anything in between the door. (I have barn doors in my home) Also they want you to remove your shoes. Well if so, they should leave shoe covers ($10 amazon) to accommodate those that are not comfortable walking around a house without shoes.

Plenty of accommodations.. full kitchen, linens, perfect for a night in or after a busy day, a cozy bed to come home to. Beyond clean, nicely decorated and the grounds were inviting. The location was perfect for us. We visited Sight & Sound theater and enjoyed the Amish markets; all within 10 minutes from the house. Plenty of things to do nearby as well as places to eat. Our two night visit was therapeutic. We hope to be back soon. Cheers to Becky and Nathan for use of this charming home and thank you for letting us stay! Highly recommend….

This cottage was beautiful and spacious for our family’s long weekend stay. The location is right next to the outlets and major Lancaster shopping areas, but secluded enough to give privacy and a “getaway”. The house is well stocked with dishes and laid out with several good spots to relax. It was too hot for us to spend much time outside but the back porch and yard are great places to gather or for kids. Note that there is not full A/C upstairs though there is a window unit in one room and some fans. But other room does get very warm with door closed for sleeping. Owners were responsive and made everything easy. I’d highly recommend this stay to any families or friends visiting Lancaster. Top knotch!

The house was sweet and comfy! The location was great - easy to get to all kinds of activities. It was also peaceful and quiet for some downtime - nice views of farmland and a wood side creek, too!

The location of this home was ideal for being minutes away from theaters, restaurants and outlet shopping. Our only concern was that the couples with handicaps (problem knees) did have difficulty with the narrow enclosure of two showers, as well as with using the stairs, especially the spiraling staircase to the second floor. The home was cozy and provided all the needs necessary for our stay.

This house is full of charm and very comfortable. Great for a larger group. It is also close to many attractions and not far from Franklin and Marshall as well.

Charming home with plenty of separate spaces. Loved the mud room where you can store extra things you brought. Great location between Lancaster downtown and Amish locations. Also very close to Dutch Wonderland and outlet shopping. The back yard is not as useful for little ones to play as I had imagined (not accessible from the deck, creek, weeds, mud an sticks). Though we were able to enjoy some outside time on the deck.
