Ótimo hotel

I loved my stay here. Nothing seemed too much trouble, staff were friendly and polite. The room was lovely, big, clean and the bed and pillows were so comfortable. It was my first time in Abu Dhabi and I loved it, made all that much better by the fantastic hotel. Good location, 5 minute walk from the Corniche which was such a peaceful walk in the morning and evening.

Everything was spot on.

I returned to this hotel having left Abu Dhabi some 30years ago (I stayed at the Sheraton when I first arrived to live there 35 years ago). Sadly, lots has changed in the surrounding area (tall buildings behind etc), however this did not detract from a lovely hotel, which has recently undergone a renovation. The rooms are lovely and it is spotlessly clean, comfy bed and nice linen. Bathroom was fabulous (and I am in the trade). What food I had was in my opinion outstanding for a hotel, and the staff were so friendly and accommodating. Loved Le Bistro. I had 2 gripes, which prevented a 5* rating. The aircon had problems and this has not changed. It kicks in when the temp rises but it is noisy when it does this and woke me each time, it then calms down a bit. Other visitiors had the same issue. My other gripe was the patio door roman blind which kept falling down or malfunctioning when I tried to lower or raise it - they were great at rectifying it but it then happened every time, so this needs replacing in my opinion. But great to see the place after so long, and so much to do in Abu Dhabi. Grand Mosque, Palace and Etihad Towers viewing platform are all musts IMO
