The Room was very nice and the lobby was great along with the Staff. What was not so great is our room faced the highway and there was constant noise, especially from trucks. We moved to the other side facing the courtyard. That was much better. Pool was closed and no notice posted on hotel web site or expedia.

We enjoyed the unique look of the hotel-theme was followed quite well throughout. Only thing I would change is to perhaps have a self service coffee station in the lobby. I tried several times one morning to get coffee from the dining area, but servers were super busy and even though I ordered one morning, I never got the product because I waited over 8 minutes and the server had to run food out-help with dining customers, and never returned. I think a large server of coffee in the lobby near the desk would be nice to avoid all of the extra traffic in the dining area. We were disappointed the outdoor area in the courtyard was not accessible at the time of our visit-it is very inviting and beautiful, I understand there is a need to close for maintenance occasionally but we would have loved to sit out there and enjoy this neat amenity. Other than those things, we enjoyed our stay and would return. There are a lot of modern, newer hotels nearby but we really liked the personalized look of this hotel. Great value as well.

Great recently remodeled hotel. Has many amenaties. Hot tub and outside area was still under renovation :( Hopefully will be open next time- YES! we will be back

I really had a wonderful and laid back stay here. My room was clean and quiet. The front desk staff was easy going. I spent time at the bar/lounge ( great meeting place to catch up with local family and friends). I played a little keno and used the pool. I had friends and family over to use the pool w/o issuesLove, love the easy location and parking. I cannot wait to stay again. I hope the new Field & Stream is successful.

Great stay with our kiddos. Loved the wool blankets at night. The pool was closed which was disappointing but we had planned to visit the hot springs anyway (excellent alternative). The restaurant (Dry Fly) was really pricey so we only ate there once. Bummed they didn’t have a continental breakfast but we knew this when we had initially booked our room. The train was noisy and kept me up the first night. I’d recommend ear plugs for a good night sleep. Kids slept great. The room was spacious and clean and the guest service was excellent and prompt. Would stay there again.

This new hotel just opened 3 months ago and it was fantastic! It felt like they renovated an older hotel to a new hip boutique hotel with retro vibes. At first it felt like a gimmicky summer camp but with the mountainous context of the Montana mountains across the parking lot, it absolutely works. Their rooms and amenities felt clean and welcoming, the restaurant attached Dry Fly Saloon offered local beers and a solid Southwest Salad and Chicken Sandwich, and the game room Honey Pot was a blast to end the night with. For the amenities, there’s a large indoor pool that closes at 11p, a small outdoor hot tub (currently closed as they’re pending inspection), outdoor seating areas with lawn chairs and canoes that acts as fireplaces, a gym with 1 equipment set of everything you need, and a large cosy shared living space at the front where you can hang out when friends to chat through the night. We practically didn’t leave the hotel our last night and just enjoyed the various things on the property. There’s also Walmart across the street to grab any daily conveniences. The property is right off a freeway exit so the window view may include the parking lot as well but you’re likely to still get a great view of the Montana mountains if you’re facing that side. If you’re looking for aesthetic, hip hotel to nightcap your wonderful trip in Montana, I recommend this spot!

The room was great, only wish was that it would have been nice if the motion detector light in the bathroom had a nighttime stting. It is really bright in the room if you have to get up. Hot tub, sadly, was closed for maintenance..

Truly the best. Too many great things to mention! Obviously the decor, but also the nice staff, outdoor area for family & pets, cozy lobby for games, fun and lively restaurant, and the casino!! I’ll be back for sure.

Unique property with fun features. Only downside was pool maintenance during our visit but likely complete check first if that’s important for ur visit.

The staff was great! Extremely helpful & answered any questions we had! It has a very small casino but we won enough it paid for our room! The restaurant/bar was nice! The only thing we didn’t get to enjoy was the pool but it was such a vibe! Will definitely be staying again!!

Sofa bed, no linens: Pullout for our 4-year-old had no sheets or pillowcases. Front desk insisted they were “in the closet,” then eventually found sheets—but no pillowcases and no housekeeping available at night. Basics not stocked: Lobby coffee out by ~7:30am despite being told it would be available while the restaurant was closed. Cleanliness red flags: Shower with mold in the corners and boot prints on the floor. No room service after we were out all day. Pool felt unsafe & unusable: Freezing room and water; an unblocked stairway to a storage area. Front desk can’t (or won’t) help: Asked for a paper cup and a tea bag; told “housekeeping only after three days.” No cup, no tea. 4-star promise, 2-star reality. The experience (short version) Check-in was quick—but once we had a key, help vanished. We arrived to discover the on-site restaurant was closed (not listed anywhere in our pre-arrival info). The hotel is good. It has been redone and has a fun vibe. The pet fee is very high - $50/night per dog so it makes expensive for what you get if you have pets. I enjoyed the courtyard and the lights and games and firepits. Convenient location by the freeway but not walkable to anything. Little things like no soap in the restrooms by the pool (not even a dispenser), someone's razor and hair tie were left in the shower of our room, and the lighting is terrible (too dark to even really see your clothes) were annoying. Overall a fine stay.

The place is cool on the surface. Decor is great, very 1960’s field and stream motif. Rooms are nice but clearly just a coat of paint and new carpet over whatever this hotel was before. Lobby and bar/restaurant are the best part of the place. Wouldn’t know about the “back patio” because it was closed for renovations. We stayed for three nights and never once was our room cleaned or towels replaced. Never really experienced anything like that. The staff was very friendly though. Overall I’d say it was just…. OK. I’ll probably try another spot next time.

The front desk employee is not the friendliest. They will not allow you to check in till 4pm on the dot stating no rooms are available till then as they are being cleaned. We then received a room that hadnt been cleaned in days and was dirty. Once they switched us rooms it was clean and comfy.

Room was clean, bed was so comfy and the shower was wonderful. Breakfast and dinner at the restaurant were both delicious and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. 5* for sure. Loved the little touches too - like games in lobby.

My only two complaints are that there was barely any hot water for any of the showers we took, so it wasn’t a timing thing, and when I called for room service at 7:30 on a Saturday night no one answered the phone. Other than that, thought it was good. FYI this didn’t bother us but it is on a main road so it’s noisy. Would stay again if we were in the area.

Staff was extremely courteous and helpful! Facility clean and large pool and hot tub gave much family fun! Room had charming cabin vibe but was too dark for my reading pleasure. If strategic lighting were added, room would be even more comfortable.

Nice looking room, everything clean and high quality. Only two criticisms; room lighting, including bathroom, was very dark. Mood lighting only, no options to fully light the place up. Second issue, shower was your typical new age low flow nonsense. I like a torrential downpour in the shower. So these piddly modern money saving showers bother me.

Fun decor but a few issues: Asked for room refresh, did not happen. Need better lighting in rooms. Hotel was recently renovated but whoever did the painting needs to return, lots of chips. Dark semi gloss paint in hallways is too dark and doesn’t give off a warm vibe. Maybe pick up the gold color in the hall carpet for the walls to warm it up. Microwave would be nice. Need outlet for phone charger on both sides of the bed. Nice lawn in part of courtyard but a large section looks like weeds.

We enjoyed the spacious room and abundant storage space. The bed was comfortable, though some softer pillows would be appreciated as they were VERY firm. The bathroom was spacious and clean. Lighting in the main room was dim and there was a lack of outlets for the numerous devices that most people now carry. The lobby was inviting, although we did not make use of the bar/restaurant, they appeared nice as well. The courtyard and pool/hot tub were inviting and there are lots of areas to relax.

We stayed a week prior and like the overall feel. When we returned, we were in the ‘new’ section. The ‘new’ section does not have an elevator to the 2nd floor. That’s a real pain in the butt when you’ve got luggage for two weeks of travel. Also couldn’t get connected to WiFi during our stay. There’s limited lighting in the room made worse by the floor lamp not working. It’s a cool concept with a lot to like, but not for $300/night. Was a little bummed.

It was good but the shower lacked for a good hot shower and the pressure wasn’t that great

Staff was friendly and helpful. My room was a little noisy because it was close to the freeway and a suggestion would be to add more lights because the room felt very very dark.

The value for price paid was sub-par. No daily housekeeping for stays under 4 nights. Long walk to the lobby (coffee service) due to old architecture. They refused to extend checkout by 30 minutes (“too busy”) even though the cleaning staff were not even close to getting to our room. It’s an old motel that’s been tastefully updated, but it’s pricey for what it offers with limited amenities (no room service), self park, small bathrooms, not even daily towel service. The inflexibility was the kicker, though.

I tried to get an early check in and the person at the desk said no without checking to see if any rooms were available.

The field and stream is a funky vibe retro hotel with an on site restaurant and bar. Staff is exceptional. Rooms were very clean and the beds super comfy. The reason i didnt give it a full blown YAY was my husband and I went to the bar for a quick drink and left the "do not disturb " hanger on our door. When we arrived back at our room, there was a bag of towels sitting inside our room. Really disturbing. The "do not disturb " sign was ignored. I alerted the front desk and while nicely apologetic nothing was done as to why this happened. For what we paid the safety issue hit rock bottom. We didnt feel safe at all. Loved everything else.

My initial check-in experience was 20 plus people waiting to check-in with 1 desk clerk. I came back in 3 or 4 hours and not only were all the people gone, but so was the desk clerk. She was out smoking a cigarette for 10 minutes while I waited at the counter. The room was extremely dark. The ice machine was broken and I had to go to the bar to ask for ice. We were told that to get coffee in the morning. We had to go to the bar. We went and there was only one person working in the restaurant. They said, hang on a second and I'll help you as she proceeded to clean three or four tables.While we waited. It was a old rundown hotel that they have tried to upgrade. They need to try a little harder.

The staff was fantastic! Also, I was very impressed with the hotel; they did a great job renovating the place. Very thoughtful and well thought out ideas. The place was very clean and the restaurant had tasty food and drink. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends and family

We came at 4 which is check in and they said our room wasn’t ready- quite rudely and kinda implied that it was our fault as we had “scheduled a bunk room” which is the last to be cleaned…we did finally get in after 6 and everything was fine from then on out. I think they should’ve given us a discount.

The perfect accessible room. I had no problems getting around the room or using the bathroom with my walker. We loved the decor and atmosphere. Woke up to a lovely Mountain View. After we checked out, we got a call from the Lodge saying my husband left his Kindle Fire in the room.Amazing customer service!

Overall this hotel was ok. It’s older, but they are doing their best to update it. Our room was very quiet and that scores big for me. The courtyard was really inviting with firepits(inside canoes) picnic tables, day beds and corn hole boards. We had reserved a King room and there was some funny business about getting checked into it (at 6:30pm) almost like they didn’t want us to take that room..? We were ultimately able to check in and they gave us a $15 gift cert for the restaurant for the trouble. We used that for a breakfast that was quite tasty. Our bed was comfy, but the pillows were so fat that I wasn’t able to sleep comfortably. Would I stay again? Probably, but will try other places to compare value.

Good location

My room smelled like dog pee, the rooms are not soundproof like described and I was constantly woke up in the early morning and late at night. Far too expensive for the quality.

Lovely lodge. Would recommend to anyone visiting the area. Clean and comfortable. Convenient to the interstate.

Restaurant- Bar was great. Loved my prime rib sandwich, salad was fresh. Prices were reasonable! Bed was very nice. Bathroom was very clean and nice. The lodge has been recently renovated and they have done an excellent job. Only minus would be the shower should be able to get a little hotter.

The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars across the board is because the pool and backyard areas were closed for renovations. They are scheduled to reopen in late summer 2025. Otherwise, this new place is something special. Comfy rooms, excellent staff - and the restaurant. Wow. The food is as good as a high end restaurant which is something I don’t think I’ve ever said about a hotel restaurant. We chose to eat there for almost every meal versus going elsewhere. It was that good. If you are lucky enough to stay on a Sunday night, get the fried chicken. It’s something really special on a menu full of amazing food.

Convenient, good breakfast, lovely pool, nice outdoor lounge chairs, comfy bed and sofa, nice satff. Poor lighting in the room and lobby was permeated by odors from the restaurant. Need more non-meat options for dinner in the reataurant.

This is a unique hotel. At the time of our stay the hot tub and more significantly, the restaurant were closed. I wouldn’t have booked if I knew the restaurant was closed. Staff here are excellent at referrals for restaurants and stores.

Really lovely place to stay. Friendly, helpful staff. Comfortable and clean rooms. Love the decor and attention to detail. It’ll be even better once the pool and outdoor area opens later this summer. Great restaurant on site, not the speediest service but the food tastes great, the atmosphere is nice and the staff are super friendly. If I’m ever in Bozeman again I will definitely be staying at Field and Stream.

The lobby is beautiful and inviting. The rooms are terrific-comfortable with clean beds and pillows. Dinner and cocktails were great. My ONLY complaint is there are no vending machines for soda!!
