Fantastic location, very comfortable room, and great staff. You can easily walk to all the highlights in Chinon from here and it’s located on a lovely little square with lots of restaurants. I had a junior suite which was very spacious. The bed was really comfortable. Two things to keep in mind: there is no elevator so if you have accessibility issues, that might be a problem. The staff was great about helping me with my luggage. The second thing is there is no dedicated parking lot. You can unload your luggage in front of the hotel or in the lot at 11 Impasse Jean Macé, which is just around the corner from the hotel and gives you 15-30 minutes of free parking. Then you can move your car to one of the free lots about a 7-minute walk away. It’s very easy, but you should be aware when coming in that you’ll need to do this. It’s a lovely hotel and the perfect place to stay in Chinon.
