Moby Dick Hotel

It was horrible second floor no elevator two of us use canes Had no heads up about that Said we had a fridge available well yes downstairs in a small apartment size for the whole hotel crazy This is no staff your key is hanging in the door of your room we’re supposed to have a suite well this was like a boarding school and they just took out the wall in between two rooms and that called a suite crazy place

Clean rooms. Nice quite property

Room was clean and of modest size, but even with private bath seemed overpriced. The host could not provide a room key, either at check-in or an hour later when we went off-site for dinner. We felt this was unprofessional and unreasonable. When a room key was finally produced later that night, it was unnecessary as we were checking out the next morning. Other minor issues: bedside clock did not keep time, no facial tissue in the bathroom, water glasses were undersized and held perhaps a quarter cup of water (enough to wash down one pill), the room's two windows had ill-fitting mini-blinds allowing morning light into the room due to the gap between the blinds and window frames. The one flat space in the bathroom for setting down personal items was occupied by an oversized coffee table book, inexplicably located immediately next to an open sided walk-in shower. The hardwood floor hallway outside the room amplified the sound of every guest in a shared hallway, disrupting our sleep throughout the night. We have stayed in less expensive hotels which better understood the basic needs of guests. To top it off, when we saw our host at a local event less than two hours after check-out, no effort was made to acknowledge us or inquire if our stay had been satisfactory. The host seemed disinterested in our comfort or goodwill, which is unfortunate, as we have periodic lodging needs in the area but our experience this time is enough to discourage any return visit.

Beautifully appointed boutique type hotel. Remote location, peaceful, zen like atmosphere.

Location is really nice, love how we are kinda hidden in the woods but can still walk to the bank of the river.
