Lowanna Beach Resort Kawana

For a brand new property their was a lot of builders defects plus intercom was smashed and not working. Could only get 1 key. Unit was very loud as situated over the pool area with a lot of concrete and other guests were using the facilities after pool hours. Unit wasn't cleaned to a professional standard, things were still left in the dishwasher??? Housekeeping definitely needs training. Staff just walked straight into our room without knocking on the door. I would stay at the property again but not in this room type. I think it was expensive for the fact it is still a semi-building site! Location was excellent and in close proximity to Kawana Sporting Complex.

Liked the location. Liked the fact it is new. Swimming pool too cold, should be heated.

Beautiful brand new units lovely pool toilet needed a better clean and there was the last guests bin so in the bin. We did ask for early check in but didn't expect to find this. Will go back to the place though. Awesome unit

Great place to stay. However no onsite parking.

Vis a Vis sind Geräteräume mit grellem Scheinwerferlicht. Dieses grelle Licht ging die ganze Nacht an und aus. Daher mussten wir die kleinen Schiessschartenartigen Fenster vom Schlafzimmer mit der Rollo auch noch schließen. INTERNET HAT SO GUT WIE NIE FUNKTIONIERT. KEINE FLIEGENGITTER ! KEIN SAFE ! Wir ware über Silvester eine ganze Woche in dieser Gruft und konnten nicht wechseln weil rundum alles ausgebucht war. Expedia hat Bilder mit Balkon und Aussicht (egal wohin!!!) bei diesem Appartment abgebildet. Die Rezeption hat gesagt es gibt auch solche aber für uns ist keines frei. Eine absolute Frechheit. Es gibt nur einen Aufzug und daher lange Wartezeiten. Parkplätze für ein neues Gebäude viel zu klein. Wir haben € 238,-- pro Nacht bezahlt und werden rechtliche Schritte einleiten sobald wir wieder zuhause sind. Das einzige Positive an dieser Unterkunft ist, dass alles noch ganz neu und sauber ist. Und die Dusche MIT HANDBRAUSE IST GUT. Gehen sie dort NICHT HIN, WENN SIE NICHT GARANTIERT EIN APPARTMENT MIT AUSBLICK INS FREIE BEKOMMEN !

Pros Property was close to shops/beach and driving/walking distance to eatery. Cons Swimming pool needs to be heated as it only get 1-2hrs of sun per day and is cold

Nice complex, brand new and tastefully decorated (and very clean). Directly across the road from a shopping centre with plenty of food options. Near the beach and close to the freeway. Parking included. Communication with property and management problematic - messages not responded to. When we checked in there was only one key available - we were told they’d get the other set back from housekeeping the next morning. We asked the next morning and were told it hadn’t been returned but they’d contact the housekeeper and call us back (there was never any call back). A further check around 3 hours later gave the same answer - housekeeping hasn’t returned it. I went back down a third time and we were then told there wasn’t another key we could have - it was with the owner. Having only one key for the lift access/apartment was problematic and meant we were unable to go out separately and both have access - how they thought this was acceptable is beyond me. Only one very slow lift per apartment block - bit of a design fault.

New modem building offering all the amenities of home. Undercover parking max 1.3m. Swimming pool available to all guests. Kawana Shoppingworld across the road heading west with all the shops you need and the beach a short walk heading east.

Nice and clean but noisy because lot of work was done on the property. Ground floor without any view to speak off. Service, comfort and cleanliness well above average . Overall pleasant stay. My wife enjoyed the stay because shop were near by.

Everything was pretty much excellent except that the floor in the lounge/kitchen was sticky.

2 night stay in a 2 bed apartment with my family of 4. Perfect stay. Location excellent, cleanliness, excellent, space, amenities, price excellent. Will definitely stay again.

Wow wow wow! The unit was so clean, spacious, and just nice! Love that there was a washer and dryer in unit and a balcony. Wish we had stayed longer and definitely will come back again next time I’m in Australia

Toilet was not cleaned with pubic hair in it stains all over the bedroom floor disgusting

Had a mixed stay; the apartment was modern, great bedroom, comfortable bed, bathroom, kitchen and living space. The only negative of the room itself was that the bins hadn’t been emptied, which felt dirty. Also, the hallways have a real lingering bin smell from the shoots but this doesn’t make its way into the rooms. In terms of location, it’s immediate surroundings are residential but there’s a few cool coffee shops on the road, Kawana centre across the road and a quiet beach within reach whilst Mooloolaba within a short drive. The problems came with the remote late check-in process, and the quite cold, to the point and abrupt in-person customer service. We booked 2 rooms and I was arriving late due to a game, so my fiance and her friend headed to the property early where they were able to get 1 room key, for the friend, but my fiance was refused the key for our room as they needed my ID — really not the end of the world. On arriving at the property, I realised I never received a message or email to explain how I check-in — just a message which said I will need to put a 1 $ deposit, no directions on how to do this. So I scoured around a late check-in machine and found a number, which I rang. The remote lady didn’t know most of the details and asked me to put a 154$ deposit before giving me the code for our room, not the 1$. She didn’t know what parking space I should use and there was no information when I opened the box. Next day, the receptionist had little interest.

Stayed for one night for business purposes. Room and view weren't anything to write home about but room was clean and functional. I requested a king bed due to back issues and an early check in, and both were granted. However bed was two singles together so not very comfortable. Soap and shampoo dispensers in shower were completely empty. I enjoyed my stay. Lobby could do with a key drop as reception was unmanned when I went to check out.

Lovely stay, highly recommend!! Bed is comfy, our 2BR ocean view apt has such a lovely view! Had some issues but front desk rectified very promptly :)

Lovely hotel. We were is a studio which was quite small but lovely barhroom. Very clean and well priced.

The apartment was beautiful and spacious it was also very clean. We loved everything except for us a big reason why we wouldn’t rebook is there was no aircon in bedroom two and three in the three bedroom apartment and they were uncomfortably hot. Such a shame for a property of this high standard

The property was awesome. Though we were not happy with EXPEDIA. Expedia falsely showd the rooms view as ocean although there are NO ocean views for guests only residents. We booked this due to the advertising pictures of the room and view displayed by expedia and was really let down by the fact we had a view of a carpark!!! , the staff were great in upgrading our room for us so we could atleast see over the carpark but explained that the views shown in the pics were completely expedias fault

Disorganized management not even a chair in the room TV not set up for any news channels or any other thing no Wi-Fi

Property itself was very nice and clean cuz it’s brand new. However counter staff wasn’t that kind to Asian and I felt like I was treated with that stereotypical vibe, which I pretended I didn’t care at the time so that loses 1 star. Also they said wifi may not work due to still in construction stage and gave me an alternative way to connect, but that didn’t work either. Be prepared to use your own data

The hotel is beautiful, clean, and very comfortable. Its location is excellent—close to the beach and a shopping centre. However, the service was disappointing. At check-in, the receptionist barely smiled, making us feel unwelcome. Later, some guests were smoking marijuana, and the smell forced us off our balcony while we were with our 12-year-old daughter. At 1:30 AM, we called reception because those same guests were playing loud music and shouting. The staff left us on hold and never even apologized. The next morning, after a sleepless night, we requested a late check-out, explaining the situation. The hotel was visibly empty, yet they asked us to leave on time without any acknowledgment or apology. The staff was not rude, but the service was far from acceptable. Disappointing experience.

They advertise a free Wi-fi but we had none thanks for nothing

The receptionist was very rude even made us pay a security deposit and not one other person that checked in when we did they even came and told us that they didnt have too pay a security deposit.. she made us feel uncomfortable judging us by the way we look as we are experiencing a rough time in our lives going through homelessness as my partner had accident at work and cut his arm severely with a grinder so we wanted a warm cossy place for a night. Instead we were made to feel like lower class citizens. Also would not accept a clear photo of my license or Proof of Age card that I had saved on my phone for moments when I don't have my physical id on hand which were both valid.

The weather wasn’t so great, but it was a nice day as I got to relax in mind after returning from a very busy couple of months in Sydney. The room was kept very neat and tidy staff for always friendly and accommodating, and everything was thoroughly cleaned and any request I had were follow through overall a very positive experience..

Our third stay here…love the close proximity to patrolled beach, closeness of shops. Our check-in/out seamless and staff welcoming friendly and helpful..

Nice new resort close to everything

The unit is new, comfortable and perfect. It had everything you need even a fresh cold jug if water in the fridge. The property is easy to find, parking was simple and its opposite a shopping mall with everything you need & more. A short 5-10 min walk to an incredible beach. I found the ocean to have lots of fun waves and water temp warmer than up in Hervey Bay. I highly recommend this property.

This is a fantastic place to spend a holiday. We had a lovely 2 bedroom apartment that was incredibly spacious. The beach was a short walk and it was quite empty every day.

Perfect location for a family getaway. The mall is directly across the road and has a great variety of shops and food options; the beach is a short walk away and there is green space for soccer practice. Plus it’s directly next door to the spa/steam/cold plunge at Core Revival.

What a fantastic location! Easily accessible being only a block back from Kawana beach & surf club, across the road from well equipped shopping centre with plenty of majors to keep you busy on a rainy day, quiet & safe. Generously proportioned apartment with good natural light yet private and perfectly clean. New building with some minor teething issues, but would have no hesitation in recommending these apartments as a place to stay.

Vida Restaurant was awesome

Gorgeous, well stocked rooms that were spotless. The mattress was very firm tho (and I usually like a firm mattress but this was a bit much). Fabulous location and the restaurant downstairs was wonderful. Would stay again.

Beautiful brand new property that was in fantastic location, easy to access, grocery shopping nearby for cooking in the highly appointed kitchen, luxurious bed and bedding, superb ensuite, close to great beaches & restaurants perfect stay highly recommend this property - we will be back for sure next visit to Sunshine Coast

The apartments are aesthetically pleasing, and their location across from shops and cafes is highly convenient. Recently constructed, the development is nearing completion of its on-site restaurant, which will hopefully enhance the modern, minimalist aesthetic. I eagerly anticipate returning to experience the restaurant and its high-quality offerings. Exciting times Lowanna!
