Motel Mount Gambier

Needs updating as its getting seriously old and in need of repairs. carpark riddled with potholes. Bathroom had broken shower hose. Staff on arrival were courteous but i almost felt like i was annoying her. No offer of the WiFi service or password was given. Beds were comfortable tho.

Very much in need of refurbishment, beds were comfy there was a large dead cocroach in the corner of the room on first entry. The pool really needed a good clean. The only thing that was good was the ease of check in and the fact they allow dogs.

Loved the size of the room. Was a bit outdated but clean. Staff friendly. Plenty of parking Pool was locked and not in use for some reason

Pet freindly is a bonus

Standard facilities but very good value for money.

The refrigerator was incapable of cooling below room temperature and when we approached the duty staff all he had to offer was that they are the same in all the rooms.

Blocked in by a truck and had a very early morning flight.

A big room and a very comfortable big bed. Smal bathroom but lots of hot water. Very clean. Milk in the fridge, plenty of coffee, tea ans sugar. Pool, Tv, hair-dryer and all you need for a stop over. Parking in front of the room.

The room was clean and tidy. The staff were very friendly. Bathroom a little small but overall, the room was excellent. Parking was easy in our SUV and the room had everything we needed.

Was a little overwhelmed to see ants on the bench in the room, 5 cracks in the shower door, that is a safety issue, the windows were filthy, cracks in multiple places on the walls, tiles need to be replaced in bathroom it smelt of urine, really it needs a full reno. The bed was compy though

It was a good property to stay. Room was clean and well maintained.

Need renovations/updating. Mattress-poor, couch looked like someone had vomited on it and poorly cleaned, shower fan/vent needed cleaning, carpet was dirty & many stains. Wouldn’t rush back. Just been to my osteopath after trying to sleep on that ordinary bed

Spotless room, new appliances, well situated to all the sights and shopping. The motel is quite old, but the owners appear to be renovating the rooms ongoing. For such a reasonable price, very good value.

We only stayed a night as a break point from traveling. Room was adequate. Tv too small and very far away from the bed. Wasn’t the greatest comfortable bed either. The vinyl couch uncomfortable too. Bathroom was small and squishy. Yet the room was very spacious. Glass front fridges means it lights up the room when you’re trying to sleep. Being picky, but those things were what I felt. Parking was tight once motel had all guests there. It was clean and neat. Had what we needed for a night.

Simple, spacious room. Nice and quiet, can't hear much of neighbours or traffic. Could just use an update to bathroom

It was ok but having a room that was adjoining another was NOT GOOD. You could hear everything nextdoor

This motel is starting to show its age but offers cheap accomodation.Great location for people that want to be close to shops and the blue lake and easy access to Adelaide highway, Great staff that gave us early access.Our only complaint was a noisy air conditioner and fridge.

Thin walls and busy road made noise a nuisance but the the bed was comfortable and the cost reasonable.

Was given room next to storeroom. Very noisy every morning when making up rooms. Traffic noise from Highway was also high. Spacious room but very tired.

For a motel on a work trip it was fine for comfort. Higgestbissue was the wifi was terrible so computer and tv kept disconnecting. Staff weren't particularly polite.

Room was clean and staff friendly. Staff definitely need to warn before charging credit card surcharge though, it's not much but some of us prefer to pay from saving or cash where surcharge is applied.

Very easy check in and out. Extremely comfy bed. Clean. Would stay again.

Friendly people. Safe and quiet. I left forgot some of my things in the room, rang them and they will hold them for me until i can pick them up on my next visit to Mt Gambier, towards the end of the month.

I didnt like when asked not to make bed for second day someone came in to makeup bed There was not sign for door

Nice quiet clean room easy check in and out value for money

this motel is very affordable & convenient. We booked the disabled access room about 2weeks ago. I really need rails in shower etc. Upon arriving owner said had no record of us booking this room. I had invoice from Wotif with "disabled access room" printed. We had travelled 180km for cancer appt at hospital.

The staff member at the check in counter ignored us as his phone call was more important than acknowledging our presence or making us welcome in any way. The area around the entrance had not been swept clean. We could hear the conversation of the men in the next room quite clearly. We were in room two, and the room badly needed renovation.

Absolutely disgraceful. Do not stay here. The rooms are so very very outdated. Back to 1970-1980's. The staff are rude and when we asked them not to enter our room when we were not there, they did so anyway. (We have proof of this on the SECOND time it happend after already telling them not to go in our room. We had purposelt left the TV on while we went out for a couple hours.. and it was turned off when we returned. Proof our room was entered AGAIN after asking not to, so this cannot be disputed). Also, the noisiest place to stay. Big bins near the pool look like they had not been emptied for months. Bags of rubbish all over the ground as it was overflowing so much. DO not recommend and will never return to this motel. Not worth the money either. **Update** (1) Owner replied to above review on Google. It proved our statement to their rudeness. (2)With regards to us not wanting our room made up. That is what the DO NOT DISTURB sign is for which we put up every day. And we did come into the office with this matter yet you blatantly disregarded it and you were extremely rude. (3)With regards to your next point about the bins. You would know this is a busy period from previous years and should have arranged something for this. (4)And with regards to wanting 5 star accommodation. No you are incorrect, however something in this century would be nice. I hope no one ever stays here again unless changes are made to their attitude and premises are brought into the 21st Century

Our room was out the front, there was a lot of traffic noise from the highway all night. The front rooms could either have double glazing or used for other purposes

Easy location for finding amenities required, fuel, supermarket.

The property was lovely, clean and comfortable although it was old. Very nice location close to shops.

Stayed for a night between Melbourne and Adelaide. Good price. Large room. Good facilities. Conveniently located and very quiet given it was on the main road.

繁華街から離れているので、車がないと不便。ビジターセンターから歩いて１５分程度。設備はとても良かった。

Quick check in and the room was spacious. Freezing and draughty at night. The room is quite old but seemed clean. No strong smells but carpet was stained in many places. Unfortunately no breakfast was offered but was advertised when i booked. They gave us some extra milk so we made our porridge sachets in the microwave. Would not stay again for the cost and quality. Would look for another option abit further away - very limited when you have a dog with you.
