This is one of the best hotels we stayed at in Vietnam. Great pool area and has a resort feel to it. Staff are very friendly and hotel is clean and well maintained. It’s a short walk to old town and they have bikes which we took to the beach. We really enjoyed our stay!

The Historic is a grand old lady of hotels with spacious rooms, set in park-like grounds. It is a refuge from the hustle and bustle of the streets of Hoi An and is exactly what we were looking for. The breakfast is excellent as are all of the facilities. Can’t recommend it enough.

This hotel is perfectly located within 3 minutes’ walk of the old town. It’s set back from the main row at the front and has spacious grounds with a good sized swimming pool. There’s a good restaurant on site, and a pool-side bar which also serves food. The rooms are clean, spacious and light, with the best ones overlooking the pool and garden. Those overlooking the road at the back can be a bit noisy. Staff are very friendly and helpful, giving lots of information about the town when you arrive. Laundry was reasonably priced and efficient. There is a very good choice of food for breakfast, catering to both Asian and western tastes. There’s also a small gym, and a book swap.

Hotel is in the middle of town , the hotel gets 5 bus loads almost every day , the breakfast is nice , the room are ok , you have to step into the tub , and once we you turn on the shower the floor outside the tub gets totally wet , the step is a dangerous, you have to be very careful so you don’t fall on the wet floor and on the steps , the gym is terrible there are dead flies on the window sill , the carpet has never been cleaned , the weight machine brook several times , hurting my husband once , the air conditioning works but you have to turn it on the minute you walk in , and the minute you walk out the pool guys run to turn it off , the pool is nice ,overall ok hotel needs upgrades .

HoiAn Historic Hotel was one of our favourite hotels. They are correctly staffed to provide a brilliant service to all patrons. The premise, the pool, the space and the service offered surpassed all of our expectations. The location is excellent.

Wonderful hotel close to Old Town. The facility was immaculate and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was incredible. Makes me realize how bad the breakfasts are in the American hotels. The pool area was very nice and relaxing. Would definitely recommend this hotel!

The room was spotless and the facilities were excellent. I also thoroughly enjoyed the delicious breakfast and the kindness of the staff. I’d love to stay here again! Also, I have a quick question—could you tell me what kind of beans were used for the Vietnamese coffee served at breakfast? It was so delicious that I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it!

Was an easy stay very close to Hoi An markets and shops with nice area in the hotel with swimming pool and restaurant. Very clean and staff very helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay again.

The property is amazing, the breakfast is incredible and overall the hotel is wonderful and would recommend. Only sort of funny problem is this: there is a children’s school directly behind the hotel, and they have a full blown concert/assembly every single morning at 6AM. And it is not just loud it is positively booming - they must have a massive speaker system. It goes on for an hour and a half, and you can hear announcements, music, children being happy and laughter. Wasn’t a big deal for us since we are early risers and my wife found it adorable, but if you don’t want to be woken up at 6AM to Vietnamese music on a 3 foot subwoofer, perhaps stay elsewhere or request to not have the back left corner building.

Nice hotel in a beautiful little city. Easy to walk to everything and plenty pf tour options available at the travel desk. Only two minor complaints, a walk in shower would be much nicer than a shower in the bathtub, and in our room at least (161) there was no electrical power point near the kettle. Small items, but noticeable.

Such a beautiful property! I want to come back and stay here again. The rooms are decent though could use some improvement in making sure there are enough charging points near the bed. But other than that, the open ness of the property, the lush green all around makes it very peaceful. The breakfast is great as well - lots of seating and lots of choices. The staff takes good care of you in bringing coffee refills etc.

The location is perfect just a few mintes walk to the centre of town. The pool area was great with comfy beds & towels available The room we had first needed changing due to the shower nozzle for some unknown reason being fixed to spray horizontally & could only be changed if you held it instead of putting it in the holder! Consequently it totally soaked the entire floor of the bathroom - so we changed rooms without issue, although for some steange reason we had to sign a piece of paper?? Both rooms & bathrooms really looked a little dated & needed some improvement Breakfast was fine but the evenings were souless with it being very quiet - possibly because all drinks were far higher than the bars just outside The location & pool area the only recommended things really

Our stay here was great!!! The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The location is great, all walking distance they also have bikes you can rent for the day. The pool was great specially during those hot summer days. Overall we enjoy our experience and would love to come back.

Very well received and taken care of! I broke my ankle on site by accident and they were all very supportive and helpful! Provided me with a wheelchair, ice, towels, etc. They made sure I was ok and helped me get in the ambulance. I really am grateful to them!

Everything was great about this hotel! The location very close to the old town, the pool, the breakfast buffet, the room, but especially the staff, with a special mention to Tien in the restaurant! Furthermore, a travel agency is conveniently located on the premises and we were able to book our flight to Phu Quoc and transportation to the airport very easily.

Hoi An Historic Hotel is a vibe. The staff were some of the nicest people you’ll meet, always warm and welcoming. The place gives White Lotus vibes without the luxury price tag. The location is perfect, within walking distance of Hoi An Ancient Town. Breakfast was good, with great indoor and outdoor seating options, and the pastries were excellent. Overall, a memorable stay and a hotel I highly recommend.

Very central location just outside of the old town. Everywhere we needed to go was accessible by walking but if you needed a bike the hotel would provide for free. It was very quiet and the room was clean and comfortable. Very good price for our stay.

This hotel combines the charm of the past with modern amenities. Our suite included a living room where we hosted the rest of the family for a glass of wine. Breakfast (you can take in the garden, if you wish) is excellent and the staff is very efficient and helpful. Superb pool. Hoi An is an amazing city. The ride on the river with lanterns is fun. My wife and my son had some handmade dresses andcostume, respectively.

Wonderful hotel close to Old Town. The facility was immaculate and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was incredible. Makes me realize how bad the breakfasts are in the American hotels. The pool area was very nice and relaxing. Would definitely recommend this hotel!

This old ol style hotel is modernised, has a lovely old style charm and ambience of a resort. Our room (king suite) overlooked the pool area.p and the interior had lovely floorboards. The breakfast buffet was the best we have had in Vietnam and even offered Vietnamese coffee where you could make your own iced coffee with condensed milk and ice supplied. A change not to see “Americano” coffee on offer which is substandard. I really enjoyed the banana crepes they made. The grounds are also lovely and the gift shop has a few things to offer. Being only a 5 minute walk to the ancient town made this an ideal location.

Such a beautiful property! I want to come back and stay here again. The rooms are decent though could use some improvement in making sure there are enough charging points near the bed. But other than that, the open ness of the property, the lush green all around makes it very peaceful. The breakfast is great as well - lots of seating and lots of choices. The staff takes good care of you in bringing coffee refills etc.

The property is very big and spacious with several buildings and open grounds and gardens, a large pool and its own spa. The breakfast buffet was great with so many local and continental options to choose from. The room was clean and had all the amenities but everything is just a little run down. The property could definitely use a renovation to be up to the 4-star standards it claims to offer. We had a few other issues: the curtains did not close completely nor was their material blackout, so light did pour into the room at sunrise. Also the street is very noisy in the mornings since there is a school nearby and we woke up every morning to the sound of screaming children. Likewise, the corridors within the hotel echo loudly so we could hear everyone passing by outside our room. Some sound-proofing is definitely needed for the rooms. Despite these drawbacks the hotel’s location is great. It’s on a less busy street just outside of the Old Town (a much calmer area than near the river!!). Accessible to cars (since some streets are pedestrian only which is very inconvenient with luggage). Right next to the Hoi An museum. Walking distance to Old Town and the sites to be seen there. Nearby custom-making tailors and leather-workers. Overall, the property is nice but with a little renovation it has the potential to be absolutely wonderful.
