The beachfront location with a nice pool is unmatched in Kata Beach for the price. The facility is very nice and the complimentary breakfast buffet has a lot of great options. It’s a beautiful property and the rooms are spacious, the rooms could just be updated a bit, very late 2000s vibes.

I absolutely loved staying at Beyond Kata. My room had a gorgeous full ocean view and balcony. The staff are kind and helpful. The breakfast buffet was delicious. The pool area and daybeds were really nice. The beach here is clean and nice for swimming. I’m so happy to have stayed at Beyond Kata.

The property is set in beautiful gardens right on the beach. It has very impressive common areas including a very good gymnasium. It's an impressive properly but our room was really old and tired and had a musky damp smell. The rooms are definitely due for a major refurb. Apart from that The breakfast buffet was a little limited and bacon was always empty. Lastly, I don't like the fact that guests put towels on poolside chairs from early in the morning. Their policy on not reserving seats needs to be enforced so everyone can have an opportunity to sit by the pool.

We only had a short stay here for 2 nights but we were seriously impressed. The beach front location is amazing. A sea view room with the best views of the sunset. The rooms are clean, staff friendly. Breakfast had so much choice (I’m a picky eater). The pool area has plenty of sunbeds. Outside the hotel grounds are so may restaurant options, shops to stock up on snacks and drinks. I would definitely return.

This was our fifth stay at Kata and it was perfect, as usual. Location at end of quiet beach, gorgeous ocean view, wonderful pool, excellent breakfast. Front desk very helpful. Shuttle from hotel to airport was great.

Great location right on beach Rooms but tired and we had issues in our room that they couldn’t fix so got sent to a lesser value room late at night No discount for the inconvenience Staff quite rude and not interested in serving particularly at the swim up bar etc Other than location wouldn’t stay again

I enjoyed my stay however there are many things that could improve. Breakfast should be available until 11am at least. Tea coffee could be available 24 hours complimentary. At 10am exact the machines are covered up and it is like a mortuary. It looks awful. I feel like a child who is not responsible to have the Machine to use and seems hostile. The little sparrows flying all about the food is not healthy. I love them but a staff member should be there at all times to shoo them away. You could install bird barriers in the roof area so they couldn't roost. ( small Metal spikes can stop them from landing) I know you cant stop them from coming in as it is all open and that is part of the uniqueness of Kata Beyond. There should be a dedicated Pool boy to assist guests with opening or closing Umbrellas. Nobody helps. This person could also assist with drinks from the Bar. The biggest 2 problems I felt is there is no toilet in the Pool area. It is a long walk through the dining area and the downstairs toilet 2 or 4 Wc's could be located right near the pool area and would be so convenient as most guests are mature and it is very inconvenient. The little water scoops near the beach stairs to wash off beach sand are cute but antiquated. 2 showers could be easily placed in this area. It is already there in the area. It just needs proper showers not taps and a water scoop. I loved the convenience of the ocean being so close and watching the waves rolling and the people passing by. It

Staff didn’t seem to want to be there; tried making us pay cash for lunch so they could overcharge us (asked us to pay 400bht, then we requested to bill the room it magically changed to 350bht). Additionally the cleaners didn’t bother cleaning our bathroom mirror all week (dead mosquito was there for the whole week) and every time they made our bed, the blanket was around the wrong way. Its really the little things that make the difference and Beyond Kata seemed much better before the renovation.

First off this may just be a miscommunication but the hotel was supposed to charge half a few months prior to check in when I booked. I booked multiple rooms from Expedia for this trip and assumed the charge was put through. The hotel apparently didn’t charge which caused miscommunication during check in. I just paid and decided I’ll dispute it later if necessary. Then the room… definitely need to train housekeeping on cleaning. Has a damp smell throughout the room. And the mosquitos! We literally had them buzzing in our ears while we slept. The beach access and views made my stay worth it. Very nice facility. Just needs some upgrades or deep cleaning in the rooms for what they charge. Breakfast had lots of options. Also some of the staff could have been friendlier. If you’re looking for luxury this ain’t it but it has potential or may have been 20 years ago

Die zimmer sind sehr sauber und schön eingerichtet. Das Personal war auch sehr freundlich, insgesamt hat es uns super gefallen. In der Umgebung gibt es viele Einkaufsmöglichkeiten.

Værelserne virkede lidt slidte. Lyset kunne godt være lidt kraftigere. Der var ikke meget lys på badeværelset. Ved morgenmaden var der rationering af bananer. 1/2 banan pr. person.

1階のプールアクセスルームに５泊しましたが、プールはずっと横に繋がっているので、隣の部屋の方なども泳いでくるので、セキュリティ面が少し不安に感じました。 ビーチ前のホテルなので、ビーチにすぐ行けるのでとても便利です。またホテル前にはご飯やさんもあるので、そちらも便利でした。

Staff didn’t seem to want to be there; tried making us pay cash for lunch so they could overcharge us (asked us to pay 400bht, then we requested to bill the room it magically changed to 350bht). Additionally the cleaners didn’t bother cleaning our bathroom mirror all week (dead mosquito was there for the whole week) and every time they made our bed, the blanket was around the wrong way. Its really the little things that make the difference and Beyond Kata seemed much better before the renovation.

I absolutely loved staying at Beyond Kata. My room had a gorgeous full ocean view and balcony. The staff are kind and helpful. The breakfast buffet was delicious. The pool area and daybeds were really nice. The beach here is clean and nice for swimming. I’m so happy to have stayed at Beyond Kata.

First off this may just be a miscommunication but the hotel was supposed to charge half a few months prior to check in when I booked. I booked multiple rooms from Expedia for this trip and assumed the charge was put through. The hotel apparently didn’t charge which caused miscommunication during check in. I just paid and decided I’ll dispute it later if necessary. Then the room… definitely need to train housekeeping on cleaning. Has a damp smell throughout the room. And the mosquitos! We literally had them buzzing in our ears while we slept. The beach access and views made my stay worth it. Very nice facility. Just needs some upgrades or deep cleaning in the rooms for what they charge. Breakfast had lots of options. Also some of the staff could have been friendlier. If you’re looking for luxury this ain’t it but it has potential or may have been 20 years ago

We only had a short stay here for 2 nights but we were seriously impressed. The beach front location is amazing. A sea view room with the best views of the sunset. The rooms are clean, staff friendly. Breakfast had so much choice (I’m a picky eater). The pool area has plenty of sunbeds. Outside the hotel grounds are so may restaurant options, shops to stock up on snacks and drinks. I would definitely return.

1階のプールアクセスルームに５泊しましたが、プールはずっと横に繋がっているので、隣の部屋の方なども泳いでくるので、セキュリティ面が少し不安に感じました。 ビーチ前のホテルなので、ビーチにすぐ行けるのでとても便利です。またホテル前にはご飯やさんもあるので、そちらも便利でした。

This was our fifth stay at Kata and it was perfect, as usual. Location at end of quiet beach, gorgeous ocean view, wonderful pool, excellent breakfast. Front desk very helpful. Shuttle from hotel to airport was great.

Hotel antigo, o quarto que fiquei era grande mas o de outros amigos que estavam juntos era bem ruim e pequeno. Comunicação com o hotel é bem complicada. As 18:00 eles fecham o concierge e se vc precisar de um táxi vai ter que se virar por aplicativo... Café da manhã com comida bem mediana. Não repetiria o hotel - existem muitos melhores.

The property is set in beautiful gardens right on the beach. It has very impressive common areas including a very good gymnasium. It's an impressive properly but our room was really old and tired and had a musky damp smell. The rooms are definitely due for a major refurb. Apart from that The breakfast buffet was a little limited and bacon was always empty. Lastly, I don't like the fact that guests put towels on poolside chairs from early in the morning. Their policy on not reserving seats needs to be enforced so everyone can have an opportunity to sit by the pool.

I enjoyed my stay however there are many things that could improve. Breakfast should be available until 11am at least. Tea coffee could be available 24 hours complimentary. At 10am exact the machines are covered up and it is like a mortuary. It looks awful. I feel like a child who is not responsible to have the Machine to use and seems hostile. The little sparrows flying all about the food is not healthy. I love them but a staff member should be there at all times to shoo them away. You could install bird barriers in the roof area so they couldn't roost. ( small Metal spikes can stop them from landing) I know you cant stop them from coming in as it is all open and that is part of the uniqueness of Kata Beyond. There should be a dedicated Pool boy to assist guests with opening or closing Umbrellas. Nobody helps. This person could also assist with drinks from the Bar. The biggest 2 problems I felt is there is no toilet in the Pool area. It is a long walk through the dining area and the downstairs toilet 2 or 4 Wc's could be located right near the pool area and would be so convenient as most guests are mature and it is very inconvenient. The little water scoops near the beach stairs to wash off beach sand are cute but antiquated. 2 showers could be easily placed in this area. It is already there in the area. It just needs proper showers not taps and a water scoop. I loved the convenience of the ocean being so close and watching the waves rolling and the people passing by. It

Very Disappointing – Needs Major Renovation I was extremely disappointed with my stay at Beyond Kata Hotel. The hotel is very outdated and, in my opinion, does not meet the standard expected of a 4- or 5-star property. Cleanliness was a major issue. The bathroom was not properly cleaned, there was visible mold around the corners of the shower, and some of the tiles were broken. The elevators were also extremely dirty, and the corridors and walkways looked old and poorly maintained. The level of service was another major disappointment. After 5 p.m., there was no concierge available. When we needed a taxi, we were simply told to go outside the hotel area and find one ourselves. The lobby also closes down at night, with the lights turned off and virtually no hotel services available apart from reception. The breakfast was also below the standard I would expect from a hotel of this category. The only real positive is the location. The hotel is directly on the seafront and has beautiful sea views. Unfortunately, the location and view cannot compensate for the poor cleanliness, outdated facilities, lack of service, and overall condition of the property. This hotel is in urgent need of renovation and significant improvement in housekeeping and guest services. Based on my experience, I would rate it below 3 stars and would not stay here again.
