Very lovely, brand new waterfront property in Ortigia. When Apple Maps helpfully directed us to the property the wrong way down a one-way street, someone from the hotel came out to where we were and helped deal with the car. Overall very friendly and very nice. Great breakfast.

Such a gorgeous, elegant and luxurious hotel – new and modern but also tasteful and classic, and even better than we had expected. The location is incredible, directly across the road from the steps down to Spiaggia di Cala Rossa, and the option for paid valet parking made it so easy to arrive/check in/check out. Ortigia is small so everything is very walkable after arrival, and we felt like we had the best possible location in town – right on the water but so close to everything. Our room was so comfortable and cool, with views across to the sea – it’s clever to have the window raised above eye level so there’s privacy but also beautiful natural light and the view. All the hotel staff were so friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed a stunning aperitivo in the evening, and breakfast in the morning. Overall, Maniace Boutique Hotel is up there with some of the loveliest modern five-star hotels we’ve stayed at around the world.

Hotel is new (or recently extensively renovated). Very modern decor. Very high quality. Located at the water front. If you have a car they will give you two options: you can drive to a lot to park and walk back - about 700 meters. Or they will use a valet service to park your car and retrieve it when you need it. There is no on-site parking. The valet service worked well. Breakfast was very good. A combination of continental and ordering from a menu.

It was a great experience. The hotel owners did an excellent job with the remodel. Our room was very comfortable. The room and hotel facilities were better than the pictures. Bravo!

Staff at Breakfast were top notch. Breakfast top notch. Reception check in service and parking were a disappointment. Phoned prior to arrival to make sure there was a space. When we arrived 5 minutes later we were told to go by and turn left, which was a mistake. Into the heart of the pedestrian town I went with my rental car. One way streets narrow. The extra insurance I had gave me confidence. Happily, no car wedgies.

Beautiful stay in Ortigia. The hotel was very clean, new, and elegantly designed/ decorated. great service and friendly staff. I would definitely recommend this spot to those travelling to Ortigia. It is also conveniently located. I would say it’s more of a quiet and understated luxury experience.

The room is spotless- very comfortable linens, beautiful views of the Ionian Sea, the staff was delightful and eager to assist in any way possible. Beautiful and tranquil setting, delicious breakfast- we will definitely return to this location.

Absolutely recommend this hotel. In great location, garden room was nice and quiet (requested a quiet room and hotel accomdated it, which really appreciated it). Bed is very comfortable (not super soft which provide a great support for my back. Duvet and bedding are also comfortable. Pillows are on the slight firm end but still okay. Room is beautifully decorated. Breakfast also had loads of options. The only slight downside was one day the room has been made up but no fresh towels were replaced even though the old towels were on the floor and been removed. And we have requested new towels via reception, new towels arrived without issue.

We stayed here for an extended period and while some of the staff were very friendly, the overall experience was disappointing and unhealthy. • Mold & damage: The hotel has a strong mold smell throughout, especially in the bathroom. In our room, there was an open ceiling space exposing wires, visible water damage, and mold. Even walking up the stairs, you can see mold in the crawlspaces. Both of us developed severe headaches and had to leave early for health reasons. • Unprofessional management: When paying taxes, the general manager was extremely rude and refused to refund our last night until I mentioned I had photo evidence of the mold. Two other people witnessed this behavior. • Poor amenities: If you expect standard hotel offerings (room service, onsite restaurants, etc.), you won’t find them here. • Location: The beach directly in front of the property is dirty. The nearest nicer (but still average) beach is about a 10-minute walk. Restaurants nearby are just okay. The only highlight of the area was the historic sites, which were truly worth seeing—but staying at this hotel overshadowed that. For the price, it is absolutely not worth it.

I felt it was in a convenient location-iyou can enjoy walking ,it's only a short 10 minute walk- by the sea or thru the beautful store and restaurant lined streets. The breakfast was VERY ample and delicious. We only had breakfast so I cannot comment on other meals but can only imagine they would be fabulous. ALL the staff at breakfast were very attentive and accommodating to my sister in law's specific dietary needs as well Our room was SPECTACULAR!!! Sufficient space and VERY clean. The view ABSOLUTELY BREATHTAKING - great sunsets and sunrises. I mentioned in my booking that we were celebrating our wedding anniversary and flowers and champagne awaited us upon our arrival. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND choosing your stay here, you will not be disappointed.

This is an outstanding resort hotel right in the heart of Ortigia, the beautiful historic center of Syracuse, Sicily. The hotel is full of light and you'll be mesmerized by waking up with the azure of the sky and the Mediterranean Sea in front of view, enchanted by the reflection of the sunshine. The rooms are comfortable. The staff is exceptionally friendly, professional, attentive and kind. Breakfast is delicious. An absolute gem!!

Special thanks to the amazing Stefano, Federica, Sarah, and Alex who made sure we had the most amazing stay and recommended the best restaurants. Could not recommend this hotel highly enough!! Very lovely, brand new waterfront property in Ortigia. When Apple Maps helpfully directed us to the property the wrong way down a one-way street, someone from the hotel came out to where we were and helped deal with the car. Overall very friendly and very nice. Great breakfast.

This is an outstanding resort hotel right in the heart of Ortigia, the beautiful historic center of Syracuse, Sicily. The hotel is full of light and you'll be mesmerized by waking up with the azure of the sky and the Mediterranean Sea in front of view, enchanted by the reflection of the sunshine. We stayed here for an extended period and while some of the staff were very friendly, the overall experience was disappointing and unhealthy. • Mold & damage: The hotel has a strong mold smell throughout, especially in the bathroom. In our room, there was an open ceiling space exposing wires, visible water damage, and mold. Even walking up the stairs, you can see mold in the crawlspaces. Both of us developed severe headaches and had to leave early for health reasons. • Unprofessional management: When paying taxes, the general manager was extremely rude and refused to refund our last night until I mentioned I had photo evidence of the mold. Two other people witnessed this behavior. • Poor amenities: If you expect standard hotel offerings (room service, onsite restaurants, etc.), you won’t find them here. • Location: The beach directly in front of the property is dirty. The nearest nicer (but still average) beach is about a 10-minute walk. Restaurants nearby are just okay. The only highlight of the area was the historic sites, which were truly worth seeing—but staying at this hotel overshadowed that. For the price, it is absolutely not worth it.

When we arrived 5 minutes later we were told to go by and turn left, which was a mistake. Into the heart of the pedestrian town I went with my rental car. One way streets narrow. The extra insurance I had gave me confidence. Happily, no car wedgies.

The hotel is not inexpensive but it is worth the price. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the location is convenient to restaurants and sight-seeing. The property is on the coast and the view is spectacular. My wife and I highly recommend this hotel.

The location is incredible, directly across the road from the steps down to Spiaggia di Cala Rossa, and the option for paid valet parking made it so easy to arrive/check in/check out. Ortigia is small so everything is very walkable after arrival, and we felt like we had the best possible location in town – right on the water but so close to everything. Our room was so comfortable and cool, with views across to the sea – it’s clever to have the window raised above eye level so there’s privacy but also beautiful natural light and the view. All the hotel staff were so friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed a stunning aperitivo in the evening, and breakfast in the morning. Overall, Maniace Boutique Hotel is up there with some of the loveliest modern five-star hotels we’ve stayed at around the world.

If you have a car they will give you two options: you can drive to a lot to park and walk back - about 700 meters. Or they will use a valet service to park your car and retrieve it when you need it. O hotel tem excelente localização, de frente para o mar, com uma praia bem em frente onde podemos tomar banho de mar. O hotel é bem novo, lindamente decorado, com ótimo cafe da manhã com vista para o mar. Os funcionários foram prestativos e atenciosos. Tem serviço de vallet e também não fica distante de estacionamento público. O problema grave que enfrentamos foi a falta de água, o que atrapalhou sensivelmente nossa estada. Passamos dois dias inteiros sem agua na unidade, não tínhamos como tomar banho e o hotel não foi hábil para resolver o problema, limitando-se a dizer que o problema era da prefeitura. Sabemos que vários outros hotéis compraram agua e já possuíam estrutura própria de poços adequados para garantir o abastecimento, o que não ocorreu com o nosso. Portanto se for viajar em alta estação, há um risco real de faltar água no hotel e atrapalhar sua experiência.

O hotel tem excelente localização, de frente para o mar, com uma praia bem em frente onde podemos tomar banho de mar. O hotel é bem novo, lindamente decorado, com ótimo cafe da manhã com vista para o mar. Os funcionários foram prestativos e atenciosos. Tem serviço de vallet e também não fica distante de estacionamento público. O problema grave que enfrentamos foi a falta de água, o que atrapalhou sensivelmente nossa estada. Passamos dois dias inteiros sem agua na unidade, não tínhamos como tomar banho e o hotel não foi hábil para resolver o problema, limitando-se a dizer que o problema era da prefeitura.
