My family and friends recently spent several days at Wainscott Woods Retreat, and our experience exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, the staff was warm, attentive, and genuinely committed to making our stay exceptional. The property itself is beautifully maintained and offers the perfect balance of luxury, comfort, and tranquility. Every amenity was thoughtfully curated, and our accommodations were immaculate, spacious, and incredibly comfortable. It was the ideal setting to relax, reconnect with loved ones, and enjoy some much-needed time away. What truly sets Wainscott Woods Retreat apart is the attention to detail and the welcoming atmosphere created by the entire team. It’s clear that great care goes into every aspect of the guest experience. We left feeling refreshed, grateful, and already looking forward to our next visit. I would highly recommend Wainscott Woods Retreat to anyone seeking a peaceful and memorable getaway in the Hamptons.

Newly Renovated and extremely clean, well kept, and inviting rooms. Staff could not be nicer and more accommodating. Location is ideally situated close to lots of shops, Goldbergs for bagels, East Hampton Beaches etc. Highly recommend this accommodation to anyone staying in the area.

Upon arrival Wainscott Woods Retreat stated we had no reservation in their system even though I had a confirmation number and a corresponding charge on my Visa from Expedia. The hotel stated this was an Expedia problem. I contacted Expedia and they confirmed the reservation information was intact. We went back and forth for an hour. The hotel finally said another guest was checking out and they would have a room ready in one to two hours. We paid for a stand alone cottage through Expedia and ended up with a two bed regular room. Once inside the room we noticed there was trash still in the wastebasket and body hair on the sheets and floor in the bathroom. We should be entitled to at least a refund for failure on Expedia and Wainscott Woods Retreat for failure to follow the terms we agreed to.

The room was utterly filthy. The bathroom had not been cleaned--the toilet was beyond dirty, there was no soap or lotion on the sink (I found the used bar soap on the shower floor), there was hair and dirt on the floor throughout the bathroom and bedroom. It was appalling. I was going to write a note before checking out, but there was no pen. The pool was filled with leaves. I would recommend others avoid this place at all costs.

Our stay at Wainscott Woods Retreat was very comfortable. The location is convenient, the newly renovated room was very clean, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our only suggestion is that there needs to be some clear signage at the entrance to the property. We arrived in daylight and still had a very hard time finding the place. Overall, a wonderful stay. Thank you!
