The beds are way too firm, feels like your laying on the floor. Also they were in the midst of renovating. One of the renovations was to reglaze the bath tubs. The chemicals could be smelt through the entire hotel as soon as you enter. Our room must have just been done because it was so strong we all started to get headaches, felt nauseous, and some started coughing. I even started to feel like i could taste the chemicals in my mouth for several hours after leaving. That was completely unsafe for the guests and employees. We weren't even told anything when we were checking in about the chemical smell or renovations until we said that we could not stay there because it was making us sick. They offered us another room but it was the same. We weren't the only ones who left. They should've informed their guests ahead so that we could've made reservations somewhere else instead having to find a place to stay last minute.They definitely dont care about guests health and safety nor their employees. If they did they would've shut down for the renovations instead of risking people becoming ill from inhaling those fumes and possibly having to go to the hospital for long exposure Needless to say I WILL never book a night at this place in Tuscaloosa, AL. Thankfully we were actually able to find another place with a suite available last minute that was a reasonable price.

They were doing renovations on the property, which we were not made aware of prior to check in. Smelled heavily of varnish or lacquer thinner.

We enjoyed our stay here. Only a few bad things to say. They do come in your room while you’re gone, the pool is small but it is heated and indoors , and the driveway to get In and out you gotta make a lot of u-turns depending on your direction of travel. However the beds were comfortable I could stretch out in the bathtub, it had two queens plus a fold out couch! Cheaper than other hotels and bigger room on game day. The staff was super friendly. Made some new friends while there. Breakfast was ok, but this was the first place I’ve found that has apple jelly!!!! Not even Waffle House gives apple. They have trollies to carry your luggage up which is nice. Love the cold AC constant fan. They even supplied us with extra blankets and towels when asked with no hesitation and plates. So much better than their neighbor la Quinta. I’d choose this place a million times over again.

This is a great hotel for anyone that doesn’t hear well. Everything was decent overall. The cars/large trucks ECHO so loud if your room is facing the bridge. We didn’t sleep the two nights we were there. Doors slam super hard and the cars vroom endlessly. Bring your own pillows if you’re picky. Inside pool is smaller but was well kept and clean!! Breakfast was good! Just a small space. Go early! Friendly staff! Very busy hotel.

The staff was my favorite part. They were super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was also good. Unfortunately we picked the hotel for the indoor pool and it was closer (emptied out) for repair. That was a bummer. The room was comfortable but definitely in need of an update. The pull out couch had some moldy spots.

Had no carts available to transfer luggage to and from room. They need to reserve a cart for customers 70 years old - I am 85 and had to carry our luggage to and from the room - 3 trips each way.

We were greeted by very friendly staff, rooms were clean. Close to the highway has its /- but was good for a 1 night stay on our road trip. Pool was warm and the kids could play in it. The pool Could use some increased cleaning.

Very nice facilities in the hotel, but it is near the freeway so it was somewhat noisy.

There is mold all over the bathroom! How can they even let anyone stay in this room?

Staff was friendly. Check in easy & quick. Common areas were clean. Mattresses were old & not very comfy. Bathroom was not as clean as I hoped. Mold in the showers along with hair. Also had strands of hair stuck all in the “clean” towels. The bathroom definitely needs an update. Both the sink & tub faucet leaked non stop.

We came into town for an Alabama game. It was late when we arrived. Got to our room on the second floor, once we fought with the card reader to finally get in, we were greeted with the worst, stale, moldy smell. I quickly turned to air on to try and help. We started unpacking and getting the pull out couch ready for our kids but as soon as we took the cushions off, the mattress was COVERED in surface mold. My husband, who will never even send food back in a restaurant, went down stairs to politely ask for another room. The lady at the front desk was always soooo nice and friendly. We got another room on the third floor. SAME THING. Probably a little worse honestly. We just sucked it up because we have small kids and it was already so late. Went and bought a blow up mattress. These rooms are soooo wet feeling and damp. We also had to go and buy cheap blankets because the beds felt wet, putting our change of clothes on the second day, and they felt wet after being in the room. No wonder there’s mold everywhere. We had family stay in a room on the first floor and supposedly their room was even worse. And they got a night free because a worker was super to ugly and confrontational to them and it got caught on camera. Anyways, not sure how this place has such good ratings. Would never stay here again.

The first hotel room had roaches in it. I told the staff and they changed my room. The next room had problems with the sink. The water pressure was low and the drain was clogged. Also, there was only 10 channels on the tv versus the previous room had hundreds of channels.

Dirty sheets, mildew smell, toilet didn’t work. Didn’t stay the night. We left for another hotel.

Very quiet hotel. You could tell that renovations are around the corner. Cleanliness of room was questionable, especially in the tub area. Friendly staff!

Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was good. Sheets were dingy and even black in areas. Looked like old mascara. Mold on ceiling in bathroom. This hotel definitely needs to be upgraded especially for what we paid on a football weekend.

Front desk staff when we checked in were very friendly! Lobby was super clean. Unfortunately our room was not the cleanest especially bathroom and curtains to outside were torn and stained. For the price for a 1 night stay while traveling it was ok. They ran out of hot breakfast food and it took along time to get more. Almost seemed like the didn't actually have anyone working that part in the morning but I'm not sure.

The property is very outdated which would have been fine if it was clean. The shower had hair in the tub, the shower knob was cracked and moldy, the towels were all stained, the mini fridge was disgusting and the sheets had stains on them. The worst part was the overpowering mildew smell. I paid a ton of money because it was parents/game weekend and only booked there because the reviews were very good. I would not stay here ever again.

The staff was excellent when I had an issue with the hair dryer. The rooms are outdated and could use refurbished. The walls are very thin, avoid a bottom floor it is very noisy with people above, ice machine, maintenance, housekeeping and road noise.

Check in was seamless, the rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the staff were very nice and helpful.

Large room.

Property was fine for a quick shower & sleep while traveling through. The outside road noise and gas station outside our window was loud. (Loud music and motorcycles).Room & bathroom was well worn.

I’d say for a family needing the bed & sofa, go for it. The suite size is great. For business travel, hmm no. Chipped paint, old decor, etc. One elevator, older AC unit, rips on curtains, old bathroom fixtures. It is a tired, older hotel. Staff was amazing.

Plenty of room for our family of 5. Room was clean. Had a nice size refrigerator with a microwave oven.

We were in town for a football game, and the hotel was nice. The bed was comfortable, and the room was clean. We struggled to get the room temperature to a comfortable level, though, and being near the highway, we heard a lot of noise.

The heat in our room did not work and the bathtub was somewhat dirty. Other than that, the bed was comfortable, and the room had ample space. The hotel itself was quiet but it is next to a highway so you can kind of hear the cars going past. Did not bother me much.

Deadbolt to adjoining room did not stay locked. Needed to change rooms

The staff was absolutely wonderful. Elizabeth, front desk, was kind and caring during a difficult time….I had booked a room near the hospital that my father was in. She was really sweet and helpful. The world needs more Elizabeths. The room was simple but clean. Everything worked as it should. The property was neat and clean.

8 lane road with traffic light right outside window (room 400) and highway on ramp so significant road noise with cars stopping and accelerating. Windows could be better to reduce. A worker tried to enter our room at 6AM, assume he thought it was empty. Door lock prevented him from entering but disturbing nonetheless.

Clean. Friendly staff. Overall great value.

Food, bed, and staff were exceptional. Only thing I didn’t like was cockroach that appeared in my room on the last day as I was leaving. Rooms could stand to be cleaned better as I found a loose skittle under my couch.

The weekday daytime receptionist was fantastic, as well as the breakfast lady and the cleaning crew. Everything was clean (and I am a little fanatical about that) and in its proper place.

Wish there was a better entrance and exit from parking lot. Amazing Staff, Breakfast, Pool, Bed, AC, and near our destination were the things we enjoyed. The room wasn't cleaned well. Not terrible but crumbs on sofa and stuff under pullout. Crap smeared on wall. Overall a good stay and the kids enjoyed it here.

Easy on and off interstate

Overall property was very close to campus which was convenient. Hotel is located of I20 near plenty of restraunts and shopping options. Hotel experience was good overall they were doing imlprovements during my stay which didnt wffect our stay. Overall should be even better when complete. I would definitely stay there again if my son attends the university.

Comfy bed. AC was the same on low and high, so not operating well, but everything else was operating well. Room seemed clean but hallway rugs were stained. The breakfast was fresh and had a variety of options.

Very comfortable and had a very good breakfast option

Overall, disappointing stay. I couldn’t get in my room multiple times. The key cards kept going out and I had to go to the front desk twice in one day to get new ones. This is apparently a common issue there because front desk clerks had the here we go again look. Not the safest place due to the exit door near our room supposed to accessible with the card only but it was either broke or they had it programmed to enter w/o the card. As I entered, a vagrant walked up the sidewalk and he could’ve easily walked up the ramp and came right on in because it didn’t lock behind me. The A/C didn’t cool down enough so we had to put it on 60 which ended up still feeling like 70. Breakfast was good for a starter day but don’t expect a buffet as it says. Still was good tasting. The staff was very nice but I wish I would’ve paid a little more and selected another hotel. I was ready to come back home after the 1st night.

This place was disgustingly dirty, and there was absolutely no pride in their services. I heard one guest during the morning hours complain that they had no hot water in their shower, and after he walked away, the lady at the front counter began to mock him. I quickly spoke up that we also had no hot water in our shower either morning that we were there, so it was more than likely true. The side yard of the hotel is piled with debris and trash, the breakfast was a joke. There were a few old scrambled eggs, and sausage that was so burned you couldn't cut it with a knife. No bacon, no gravy, no biscuits, just gross eggs, a dirty waffle maker, burned gravy and a cabinet of bread products that were stale. Our bathroom had mold, the carpet was torn, and the smoke alarm with covered in plastic wrap, and could never have alerted us to an issue. There was an AL game, so we paid $350 a night for this dump. RUN, RUN, RUN to another Tuscaloosa hotel. This one needs to close down. It was the worst stay in years!
