Det Hanseatiske Hotel

Breakfast was decent/average at best, location was excellent for walk almost to anywhere. Not very accessible for people with disabilities. Otherwise very nice place to stay and we enjoyed the hanseatic vibe very much!

Air condition, som bråkte selv om vi skrudde den av. Våknet på dette flere ganger om natten. Alt de kunne gjøre med dette var å beklage. Ingen refundering av penger. Man bor på hotellet for å sove, her gikk det veldig dårlig. Hårtørkeren hadde ødelagt avbryter, ingen mulighet å regulere. Ikke helt fire stjerners hotell. Vi hadde et vindu, som ikke kunne lukkes. Dette måtte vi si om, ingen av personell hadde lagt merke til det. Fikk det ordnet med engang, når vi sa i fra. Stort rom, fin gammel bygning. Frokost var ok, men ikke mer enn det.

Trevligt hotell, tyvärr så fick vi ett rum (svit) med trasig AC så det var obehagligt varmt och ett väldigt störande ljud från ett förmodat fläktrum väg i väg med sovrummet

Amazing historic location. The museum is being restored too 2024. It is a funky 700 year old pair of buildings. But they have an elevator, repaired while we were there.

The location is fantastic in center city. Our room was so inconveniently located with corridors, stairs and a connecting passage to the rear building that it became humorous. Funny except for the luggage handling over all the obstacles and twists and turns. the breakfast was very good and the staff were very helpfull. we would stay again if the opportunity arises -- but would be very careful in checking the details of our room location and access.

Ascenseur en panne🙁

The hotel photos reflect some charm. Unfortunately, that is not the reality for this rather expensive ($651/two nights), but dingy hotel. 1) It is located on a small dead end street with an enormous retaining wall on one side. It rains a lot in Bergen and the street becomes a river in short order. 2) Hotel staff (and there are not many) can best be described as rather bored. When we first checked in no one was at the reception desk. He finally showed up and was uncertain about which room we had. He seemed so laissez faire that I asked to see the room before we hauled the luggage in. The hotel has an elevator, but when he took us to the floor where room was located it also had a rickety narrow open wooden staircase with about 20 stairs that you had to climb to reach your room. He told me people liked the room because it was quiet and had "original timbers". I asked to see another room. Unfortunately, it also had steps. I settled for the 3rd room which at least was not difficult to reach. It was dark and the furnishings reminded me of 1930's decor. Not replicas - the originals. 3) There was a small attractive bar on the ground floor, but unfortunately, a bartender never surfaced in the entire time we were there so we were not able to use it. 4) The breakfast was average - served in a drab dining room. I've been traveling in Sweden and Norway for over 40 years and have to say that this hotel may be historic, but it has little else to recommend it.

Flott stort rom, men støv på veggen over senga og dryss av sagmugg el. Lignende når du åpnet og lukket døren. Beliggenheten var svært sentralt og tomme stort og flott møblert.

This is a quirky older building in the heart of Bryggen so don't expect perfection. The bathroom was new and modern and the bed was comfortable. All of the staff were very helpful and pleasant. The breakfast buffet was outstanding. We were there during a sunny, warm week and so spirits were running high on the street and in the bars. The front desk staff helped with situations that were within their control. However, I believe that the red velvet armchair in our room should be retired. It has lost its charm! 😉

Kalt på badet, ikke mulig å regulere temperaturen. Vifte på badet gikk hele tiden, ikke mulig å slå av. Manglende renhold av stolene på rommet, rester av snacks og peanøtter. Ellers OK, gode senger og utmerket frokost.

Comfy and spotless room

Ekstremt sentralt for en helgetur med gåavstand til det meste. Fint område og mange serverdigheter nært. Hadde 2 3 mannsrom med ok plass men meget fine bad og bra renhold

Lovely quirky place, real well located, only criticism is stains on chairs in breakfast room.

Lite imøtekommende og serviceinnstilte ansatte generelt. Resepsjonister stort sett mer opptatt av sin telefon enn gjester. Hotellet inkludert rom bærer preg av alder og behov for oppussing. Lekkasje i dusjhodet, dårlig blandebatteri i vask og TV som fungerte dårlig. Frokosten var sånn midt på treet minus, og også betjeningen her kunne hatt behov for opplæring i det å opptre hyggelig og imøtekommende. Ut over det at hotellet nok trenger en ansiktsløftning, virket renholdet til å være tilfredsstillende. Vi hadde et OK opphold, men velger nok et annet hotell ved neste bergensbesøk.

Alt var bra, midt i sentrum, kort avstand til Fløybanen. Vi fikk et flott rom med utsikt og badekar. En fantastisk opplevelse.

Zimmer 445 dunkel, sehr klein und eng, ohne Fenster, nur Dachluke, die nicht zu öffnen war. Alles sehr abgewohnt. Nicht zu empfehlen.

The breakfast buffet here was fabulous. I also enjoyed the large soaking tub in my room. The location was perfect. It was a bit noisy at night because there was a club across the street, but I had good earplugs. There were many tripping hazards in the hallways and in the room, so would not recommend for the elderly, but it is a historic building. I’d stay here again.

Bra opphold. Det var trangt på rommet, ikkje kjøleskap,delt seng.

I stayed here with my wife when we vacationed for our anniversary. Charming hotel in a historic part of Bergen. Centrally located and convenient to shops, dining, bars, fjord boat tour, hiking and other activities. Nicolas at the front desk was very friendly and super helpful when it came to answering all of our questions about the area. Would definitely stay here again.

Great staff, breakfast was delicious

Dårlig mottagelse. Resepsjonisten satt med høretelefoner og spiste frokost. Bagasjerommet var fult av søppel og kofferter lå strødd opppå hverandre. Nøkkelkortene virket ikke og heisen sto. Dette gir et generelt dårlig inntrykk

Great location, really friendly and helpful staff. Right next to the harbour and the well known Bryggen area of Bergen.

Fint hotell med koselige rom. Rommet vi fikk var vendt mot utestedet Bar3 som medførte en del støy på en Lørdag. Frokost var god, men var kaldt der på morgenen

A bar across the street played excessively loud music until 2:00 AM on Friday and Saturday. It was a charming hotel, but not a pleasant stay.

Perfekt läge, mitt i Bergen.

It is very close to all the actions in Bergen.

The Det Hanseatiske was a very nice hotel. The room was like a cozy cabin. The staff were helpful and friendly. The location makes for easy walking to all the local areas. I won't fault the hotel but please beware on Saturday night the music from the club next door can be very loud into the late hours of the night.

Very good position and lovely to stay in the heart of Bryggen. Lunch not available but dinner options ok. However easy walking distance to many restaurants. Room very good size and bathroom also really good. Breakfast selection could have been better. Tinned fruit to go with cereal rather than fresh

Wonderful breakfast option!

An absolute gem! Located in the beautiful heart of Bryggen the hotel is quiet, clean and comfortable and packed full of character. Perfectly placed to explore Bergen, all the must do tourist spots are walking distance along with the train station to explore the rest of Norway. The buffet style breakfast is an excellent start to the day with plenty of choice and a wealth of excellent restaurants surround the hotel so you won’t struggle to find somewhere for dinner. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to book again should we return to Bergen.

2 nätter…Svit. Mod äldre. Hotell riktigt Bra läge. Bra/Trevlig reception. Frukostpersonal trött/heja ej/slamrade riktigt mycket vid avplockning. När man sa till att Allt mjukt bröd var slut då stånkade hon uppgivet. Första hotell på resan som Ej hade Kaviar i Norge. Annars frukost sortiment ok. Ej parkering utanför.
