The property presents as an older building but the King bed room we had was very good. Everything we could need was provided. A small mini bar selection but reasonably priced. The room was very clean and comfortable with a small lounge, table with 2 chairs, coffee/ plunger and tea, microwave etc. Special mention for the lovely thick towels that were of a much more suitable size compared to the usual small offerings. The water pressure in the shower was also phenomenal. Checking in was a breeze and staff are friendly. Very short walk for IGA, Bakery,Pizza/burger/breakfast cafe...very good pancakes. The RSL club is also a very short walk. Would definitely go back when in the area again.

We checked in on an extremly hot afternoon. Althugh the front door was open behind a screen door, the airconditioner was not running on our arrival. It took about 40 minutes for the air conditioner to cool down the room after we turned it on.

The room was clean. The air-conditioner was great. The wi-fi was a great benefit but the bed was not good . My husband and I spent the night rolling into one another, which would have been fine had it been winter, but not good in summer .

Shower was shocking,very little water & barely hot enough. Air con heating only worked for acouple of hours. It was cold in the room. Booking very bad. Reception unfriendly.

A compact and comfortable motel with caring personal service, easy car parking and close proximity to local shops and waterside walks in this riverside village. Will stay again.

The lady receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Whilst the property is old, our room was very clean and our bed was comfortable. The RSL is a few doors down the road and we had an excellent meal there. There is also a pizza place next door. On site parking was an available. It was a perfect and convenient stop for us on our way to Sydney.

Excellent! Attention to detail was appreciated in so far as the room provided all that a traveller required. Comfortable room size, good size fridge (plenty of drinking water, ice cubes,good variety of mini bar options) several tea and coffee options. Car park directly outside of room - no stairs. Would definitely stay there again.

The motel is conveniently located and close to the Pacific Highway. An old style motel that's clean and affordable with all the facilities you could want.

Considerably small room and even smaller bathroom. The bathroom had a constant foul smell and the door to the bathroom kept coming off when sliding to close. Overall a good property but could use some TLC from the management to enhance the guest experience.

Very clean

The room had some maintenance issues that need to be addressed. The hairdryer's steel nozzle was rusted and unusable, and there were other rusty items in the room as well. It was disappointing to see this lack of attention to guest safety, especially when every item in the mini-bar had a carefully placed price tag. I was unable to report these issues as the reception was closed during my morning checkout.

This motel was well appointed and clean. Unfortunately in our room No 12 there was a large hole in the carpet and it was covered by a mat that was curling up at the corners. Quite dangerous and a trip hazard as it was in a very prominent place on the floor. The staff were friendly. We booked through Expedia. I searched for accommodation near Tanilba Bay. Karuah Motel came up in the search with available dates and stated in their advertisement it was 9.73 km from Tanilba Bay! We were horrified upon arriving at the motel to find it was in fact 41 kilometres to Tanilba Bay where we were visiting friends for two days for a special celebration. Expedia blatantly, dishonestly and deceptively advertised this hotel as being 9.73 kms from Tanilba Bay! The round trip from the motel to Tanilba Bay was 82 kms and over 70 mins! We would never of chosen to stay at this motel if the correct distance of 41 kms to Tanilba Bay was advertised. I have tried to communicate my disappointment to Expedia but it’s falling on deaf ears. All they say is they are disappointed to hear I was frustrated. I believe I should either be refunded the cost or compensated in some way as Expedia sold me a product that was not suitable for my needs and by law I should have money reimbursed or compensated. We tried upon arriving at the motel to secure other accommodation closer to our destination but as it was a long weekend holiday in NSW there was no other accommodation available. Do not use Expedia!

Really lovely clean hotel with some nice homely touches. Staff were friendly and helpful. Perfect stop off on way back to Sydney.

While we had a modern, clean, well maintained and appointed room, it was not the size of a Deluxe Queen Room that we had booked and as appeared in the pictures: we had a small room only the width of the bed and bedside tables - no couch - and a small fold-up table with 2 chairs instead of a free standing table. No room for 2 suitcases - we left one in the car. Apart from that, it was a nice room with efficient airconditioning

Water is noisy when next units use their shower or toilet.

Adequate for 1 nights accommodation - small room and bathroom, beds were quite hard but the shower was great. pizza/takeaway shop next door handy for late arrival and IGA across the road was super helpful and open early on a Sunday morning. Extremely small town with nowhere to get coffee Sunday morning or have breakfast out so the IGA was good.

Old motel, needs a lot of work especially on the plumbing so that you don’t hear the water pressure coming through the pipes when someone in the next room is showing. Staff were nice and room was clean

Amateur repairs and tiling was very obvious. Shower a good size. A smaller vanity would allow more space. One light in main room not working. Reception unattened on check-in and checkout with notes attached to inside door "Back in 10 mins" or to "See cleaner" who couldn't be found. It felt unwelcoming and confusing to guests.

Great location. Easy walking to many convenience stores and fast food outlets. Walls are a bit thin and a sliding door was pretty ordinary, but despite this would definitely stay at this location again!

We were two and spent one night in Karuah Motor Inn. It was very nice! We arrived after the closing of the reception but the guy was very helpful and found a solution for the keys ! I really recommend staying there! By the way it is super close from the bus station!

Clean, nice and comfy bed! Super sweet and helpful staff. Even had a tiny French press coffee (and the coffee ofc) besides the two types of instant coffee. Felt they had put a lot of care into the experience of the stay.

Staff were fantastic as they waited up for us to check in late. Really appreciated that as we had driven from Qld. The town itself was lovely and the food at the cafe down the road was great. Very pretty town and the room had everything you could want in it. Look forward to going back there and stay for a few days when we get the time.

I enjoyed my stay at this property. It was quiet until guests in the neighbouring room departed around 0300 hours, yes 3 am. These people had zero regard for other guests hopeful of a longer night/morning's sleep. I had 2 hotel overnights with the same experience of rude guests disrupting my sleep. Otherwise, I enjoyed my stay and the convenient RSL nearby, where the welcome was warm again and the takeaway dinner very good too. My husband and I are planning to stay at this property on future drives between Brisbane and our Vincentia home.

The proximity to the RSL for a very good Chinese meal was appreciated by a tired traveller.

What a fantastic motel. They couldn't do enough for you. All the staff your so friendly and will to help. Rooms have everything you could need. They are so comfortable Breakfast was beautiful. Will most definitely stay there again

Clean and convenient. Absolutely no friendliness, at check in they couldn’t be rid of us fast enough and no access to speak or find anyone again. I was confused about people’s comments about breakfast when there was no food outside the minibar available at this premise. Very good eatery next door.

Very cute little motel in a gorgeous little village, the RSL does fantastic food, easy breakfast at the pizza shop which also does ordinary breakfast? You don’t have to have a pizza.

While the property is not new, a successful effort has been made to maintain its condition. The rooms are clean and about as comfortable as you can get in a motel. There is pretty much everything you need except a dinner plate and eating irons. The fish n chip shop nearby is great and the RSL very close serves a good chinese meal. Will stay there again.
