The resort is advertised as having swimming pool and tennis court but they are not usable. The swimming pool is filled with leaves most of the time and tennis court is non usable. The good thing is it is peaceful place.The staff was very helpful and tried to make our stay comfortable, so thank you very much to the staff.

Overall, the room was clean, neat and spacious. Bed was comfortable and warm. Generally, the room was quite and well appointment, The outside property appears to undergoing some renovations and there was an amount of rubbish from demolition in the carpark. Also the pool looked great however facilities such as toilets were looking like needing a freshen up. I would stay there again.

Very quiet place to stay even when most of the hotel was booked out. Parking straight outside the room especially with large 4wd. Great location to get around to do your business activites and everything was good in the hotel room. Clean, quiet and everthing worked and I would stay there again next time going to Sydney.

Brilliant location. Professional staff - Naomi (the manager) is very warm & approachable. Akash is very professional & responsive. Clean rooms and excellent location. A lot of parking which is what I needed. I’m definitely coming back!

Room was a great size for a family. The room smelled quite badly of cigarette smoke - it seemed to be worse in the bathroom. The upstairs people were noisy well past a reasonable hour . Location was very convenient a and lots of parking. Beds were quite firm but comfortable enough. Had both a firm and soft pillow to use .

Rooms were close to highway. Property looked rundown and in need of new carpets in the hallways and rooms. Limited facilities in the rooms (no microwave). Linen closet door always left open and blocked 1/2 of stairway to upstairs. No elevators.

The room was basic and felt quite tired but comfortable enough for a short stay. Unfortunately, there was just a door lock but no latch/security chain which made me uncomfortable as a woman staying on my own. However, the location was great! Short drive to the beach, cafes and restaurants. Overall, I guess you pay for what you get.

The premises are adequate, clean, tidy and available when I arrived. However, on arrival I was met with a demand to provide a credit card and a $2 fee "may be charged." I objected to this but was told it was necessary and the charge would not be charged. So I complied, only to find that the $2 fee was charged. Although this is a lot less than a cup of coffee I object strongly to such conduct. So it will be a long time before I stay with Checkers again, if ever.

The Palms restaurant looked amazing even though we didn’t get to go. Next time though we will for sure. Great location close to Terrey Hills Tavern - great pub with good red wine! Bed was super comfy and the room was spacious. Microwave was available if requested. Late checkout was perfect

We arrived to the property and could see that they were chopping down trees and shrub. There was noisy drilling while I was at the check in desk. I was told we could stay in the room we booked or stay in a room on the ground floor as they were “Painting the roof and checking for leaks” the following day. We decided to stay in the original room. The extractor fan in the bathroom didn’t work and the clothes line over the bathtub broke. The website says that they do breakfast and dinner. That was not correct. I asked about that the following day. What was happening is that three weeks before, The Palms, which appears to be a garden centre, that is in front of the hotel had bought it. So instead of renovating the hotel, then opening it back up, they were operating while doing renovations. The website should’ve been updated. It’s a lot more expensive if booked directly through them. I’m relieved I didn’t.

The Palms restaurant looked amazing even though we didn’t get to go. Next time though we will for sure. Great location close to Terrey Hills Tavern - great pub with good red wine! Bed was super comfy and the room was spacious. Microwave was available if requested. Late checkout was perfect

Hotel was being used as a film set and I have no idea why you left it up on your site. I couldn’t find reception then got directed to a spot way away from my room . Was given a free dinner for all the issues and the Palms restaurant was excellent. Rooms are way past a need for being renovated.

Like me, it's past it's prime, but is still a decent place to stay. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. They allowed me to plug my Tesla into an 240 outlet while I stayed, which enabled me to do the trips I'd planned around Sydney. The restaurant was very quiet (I was often the only one in there) but the food was very tasty and well priced.

Pleasant accommodation. Bonus restaurant in venue. Weird superstition as there is no room 13, but 12A. Confusing as odds and even rooms are on different sides of the motel structure. Large rooms, bed was comfortable. Great transit stop over.

Good location, walkable to two good restaurants, and the mall. Staff friendly and efficient for check-in. Room was quite large. Plenty of free parking. Would return.

4 ladies staying in a room There was no hot water in a room until the next morning blankets smelled had holes in them . Shower floor was dirty. When we walked into room it smelt. Beds were uncomfortable advertising a dining room and breakfast no food available at all in this facility no fan in bathroom to take out the steam when we finally got hot water.

We had a lovely dinner, overlooking trees, in their restaurant. One of the staff found some games for the kids to play with and helped set it up. A charming hotel full of decorative paintings, tapestries, and curiosities. It was fun to walk down the hallways.

This property has aged and needs work, bathrooms had mold and soap scum, paint was peeling off the ceiling in my room, they recommended going to the Palms for dinner next door, its expensive and the meal sizes are very small.

The suite room was lovely, big and clean. On the second floor, steps were okay to climb with a small suitcase. Good sized wardrobe with a good amount of coat-hangers. Would have liked a couple of suitcase racks though. Bed comfy but saggy in the middle. Good size bathroom and big shower with plenty of room to move. Good water pressure. Biscuits were a nice touch to have with coffee/tea. Fridge was quiet. The 2 seater lounge was comfy too. TV reception good. The Palms cafe/restaurant/nursery right next door. Didn't use the pool or sauna nor other facilities. Didn't need to use the a/c. A light on the sign to the the hotel where the tennis courts are would be convenient as it's when the sun goes down, it's dark to navigate the entrance. It was lovely hearing birds such as kookaburras, whipbirds and what sounded like a black cockatoo. A little maintenance around the grounds like pulling out weeds in the gardens and pool area including getting leaves out of the water. Cleaningsuch as cobweb su, sns and dust. There's a cient Foodworks supermarket nearby about a 2 minute drive but some items a little pricey with a small Cafe and larger one. Nice cakes too. Shopping centre at Belrose about 10 minutes drive with supermarkets, Thai, Japanese, Indian restaurants plus other dishes available such as a chicken shop. A $2 shop, jewellery, travel agent and other shops too. Hotel not far from the Northern Beaches either.
