pros: - air conditioning - bed was okay - office open 24/7 - bus station and restaurants close by - private balcony with ashtray and chairs in some units cons: - weird check-in? first, they wanted me to pay the full amount of my stay the dau before we were supposed to check in, to "reserve the room"? because we went during stampede and they said it was busy, fair enough. when we got there, they told me they had to refund my hold payment and then recharge me again for the room, for some reason. im definitely not made of money and was very confused on why they were refunding me and charging me again, knowing the refund could take up to 10 business days. i dont know why the original hold charge didn't count as me paying for the room, and as expected, my refund was pending the whole time we were staying there (still pending) so i was out 300$ that i was not expecting for this trip Plus the 100$ damage deposit hold they took, that i was expecting. - room was very small and not very clean - sink sprayed all over if turned on too high - there was a staple/nail sticking out on the balcony that i ripped my sock on - weirdest/smallest/most awkwardly shaped parking lot - pillows not comfy - i keep reading things about people getting charged for things and/or not getting their damage deposit back so we'll see what happens there

A $54 a night (yes that's all taxes and fees included) stay. Clean and warm. The second story room had a balcony door that would not lock closed, and as a single male I had no real problem with that (others may have differing opinions). Water was slow to heat up, but eventually my 8am shower became hot. Ice machine broken, and I thought there was a free continental breakfast available, but was told no such thing Not a complaint, given the price of room, but perhaps the Expedia site should be updated? The property is located on busy Macleod trail south, it is elevated from street level, so pedestrian traffic was pretty much non-existent, but street noise at night was noticable but not enough to interupt sleep. Staff were great, I was able to retrieve some left behind clothing, a week later (after notifying staff the day after I left). I would stay again for a solitary trip of one night (for $54 or less).

The pictures didn't accurately convey the room and it's size. It's very small and as far as having a kitchenette - there were a couple of burners and very limited cookware, silverware, dishes. We stayed for six nights. We got our room cleaned twice. We had to ask for a roll of toilet paper three times before receiving one. We had to beg to get some coffee for the morning. They even asked what our room number was and my husband said "you're not going to charge us are you?!" and they didn't. The bed sagged in the middle and we had to make sure not to sit on the end otherwise it would flip over (the frame was not big enough). There is a cage around the check-in area so I'm not sure how safe the area is. And it's right off a very busy street (Macleod Trail). While Chinook Mall is about 2 minutes away and getting to connecting roads is easy, it's very noisy.

Plenty of free parking and moderately clean facilities, but the experience was marred by unprofessional service. The staff was argumentative and insisted I pay twice to receive a refund. We booked a queen room but were given a double instead, and there was very little hot water during our stay. Disappointing overall.

Room was good. Took 3 hrs to get wifi working. One burner not working on stove. Great bathroom and lots of hot water for shower. Was a bit leary seeing iron bars around front desk and police doing in a room next to me. But had no problems. So stay was good

This hotel was in a convenient location, and parking onsite is ample. It was fairly quiet, and the room was clean. However, my air conditioner and the fan in my bathroom were extremely noisy, and one half of the bed was quite uncomfortable. I tried to open my window instead of running the air conditioner at night, but the noise from the adjacent street was loud throughout the night. The stairways and hallway could be kept cleaner. And please note that this hotel does not offer complimentary breakfast (the description indicated that it did at the time I booked my reservation).

Unit 105: Beds were comfortable, linens and towels were in very good condition. Floor lamp shade was held together with scotch tape and was not working when we arrived. Staff came immediately and got it working. The entry and bathroom doors had raw wood showing. The heater vent in the bathroom was off kilter, needed repair, and vent fins were covered in dust. There was black mold on the tub grout. The air conditioner unit was so loud when it ran, we had to shut it off. It was also dirty looking. The outlet the fridge was plugged into had black residue on it. While there was a coffee maker in the room, there was no place to plug it in unless you used the outlet mentioned above and the coffee maker had to sit on the floor to use that outlet. The blind on the main window had a couple of tears in it. Even the signage in the bathroom was missing a piece.

Terrible smell in the room. I opened a window, burned a candle for hours and ran a fan in bathroom but could not get rid of it. Had to wash my hair before leaving in the morning cause it smelled gross of that terrible old rooms's smell of cigarettes, decaying wood and who knows what else. Loud fridge. Had to turn it off. Metal cage between you and a check in guy with poor English and poor customer service skills. Just grossest hotel experience in the last 30 years.

The main entrance smelled like urine. Our room was ok as far as cleanliness goes and our beds were ok too. You could hear people next to us and above us with every step they took and every word they said. It is located on a busy street so noisy all night. It will do in a pinch, but definitely not a place you pick on purpose.

Room reeks of cigarette smell, no hot water for a shower, bed was broken and caving in the head area. Ac and bathroom fan were extremely loud. Couldn't get anything resolve because there's no manager on site. Room advertised as non- smoking but there's a cigarette can fixed to the wall on the tiny patio.

Upon check in I was only given 1 key for 2 of us. When I went back for a second key I was chastised for not having the other guest show his ID. He had been standing beside me as we checked in. The room was simple and basic. Good enough. There was a used bar of soap in the shower when I checked in. Not the end of the world. On day 2/5 I asked housekeeping for fresh sheets and towels rather than having my room cleaned by them. They made me hang my dirty laundry out on the railing outside to count it. I asked for a few extra towels as I didn’t have my room made up every day. They refused. Day 4/5 I called the front desk at 4:10pm and asked if I could exchange my towel and bedding. I would be making my bed myself. I had been out all day. I was told housekeeping had left for the day and I’d have to wait until the next day for clean towels. Front desk would not even exchange my towels. I would NOT stay if you have KIDS that may spill on the towels or sheet. They will make you PAY for the dirty towels and will not give you fresh ones. You’ll be sleeping in dirty sheets. I was treated more like an inconvenience and a liability then a guest. I felt unwelcome and was relived to check out. Cheap, but not good value. Never again.

The rooms are small and dark, with a very noisy AC. The corridors to the rooms are very scary as they are also dark. They lied about breakfast, which was never provided. Customer care is a disaster; the lady at the reception is always arguing with clients. And to climax all this I was robbed by this place of my 100CAD that they claimed to have taken as a deposit that it would be refunded on leaving, which never happened.

The room was run down and in need of repair and paint. The bathroom fan was so loud we didn’t use the shower, it was just too noisy and the light and fan were on the same switch. Probably the only good thing I can say is that the air conditioner worked.

Location: The neighborhood feels unsafe at night. Guests are warned not to leave valuables in cars, and the motel itself has locked check-in and warning signs. Overall this place is quite run down, and it didn't feel very safe. I should have read the reviews but that's on me. The WiFi didn't work, wouldn't coonect on either device. I called the front desk, she said she'd call back. I called half an hour later, no answer. When I went to check out there was very strong incense burning in the lobby. I found it very unnecessary especially with no windows being open. I wouldn't stay again.

2nd floor was so hot especially for November, the A/C wasn’t functional/I couldn’t control the heat and they don’t have plugs for their bathtubs (which clearly aren’t regularly cleaned). Hotel is a dead data zone and wifi only works in the rooms, nowhere else on the property.

We stayed for six nights. We got our room cleaned twice. We had to ask for a roll of toilet paper three times before receiving one. We had to beg to get some coffee for the morning. They even asked what our room number was and my husband said "you're not going to charge us are you?!" and they didn't. However, my air conditioner and the fan in my bathroom were extremely noisy, and one half of the bed was quite uncomfortable. I tried to open my window instead of running the air conditioner at night, but the noise from the adjacent street was loud throughout the night. The stairways and hallway could be kept cleaner. And please note that this hotel does not offer complimentary breakfast (the description indicated that it did at the time I booked my reservation).

And to climax all this I was robbed by this place of my 100CAD that they claimed to have taken as a deposit that it would be refunded on leaving, which never happened.

Staff not knowledgeable. Prepaid via Expedia, was refunded at the hotel and then had to put through new charge on my card, unsure what that was about. Both my hubbie & I had to show ID when the room was rented as 2 adults. I have never had to do that before. Hold of $100 is still on my CC. People wandering around begging for money and cigarettes. In the actual room, the bed was broken on one side so we had to sleep on an angle. Asked for extra pillows, got 2, only one had a pillow case. The door to the washroom would not physically close. Not that it wouldn't latch, it actually did not fit in the frame. TV was smaller than a computer monitor and would not stay turned off. Finally covered it with a jacket so we could sleep. Definitely would not recommend

pros: - air conditioning - bed was okay - office open 24/7 - bus station and restaurants close by - private balcony with ashtray and chairs in some units cons: - weird check-in? first, they wanted me to pay the full amount of my stay the dau before we were supposed to check in, to "reserve the room"? because we went during stampede and they said it was busy, fair enough. when we got there, they told me they had to refund my hold payment and then recharge me again for the room, for some reason. im definitely not made of money and was very confused on why they were refunding me and charging me again, knowing the refund could take up to 10 business days. i dont know why the original hold charge didn't count as me paying for the room, and as expected, my refund was pending the whole time we were staying there (still pending) so i was out 300$ that i was not expecting for this trip Plus the 100$ damage deposit hold they took, that i was expecting. - room was very small and not very clean - sink sprayed all over if turned on too high - there was a staple/nail sticking out on the balcony that i ripped my sock on - weirdest/smallest/most awkwardly shaped parking lot - pillows not comfy - i keep reading things about people getting charged for things and/or not getting their damage deposit back so we'll see what happens there

There were fruit flies all over the bathroom, but other than that the room was clean. Also, the front desk really wanted to charge me $500 for damage deposit saying my card was prepaid when it is a Mastercard and worked at every other hotel for $50 deposit. I didn’t wanna argue so I just paid the fee and I’m waiting for the refund to be processed.

DO NOT GO HERE. They advertise as they provide breakfast but there is nothing they provide and then they will silently add extra charges to your credit cards for missing stuff without confirming. When I called the property office, they said you stole towels and mats. I asked the property manager to check the rooms at my checkout but they said it is okay and then the charges appears and their response was that the room services counted and towels and mats were missing from the rooms without providing any proof and calling us a thief on my face over the call.

I understand that the Stampede is a particularly busy time; however, I believe that proper advance notice is still essential. I booked my stay through Expedia with a clear payment option of "pay upon check-in." Despite this, the hotel still charged me a day before my arrival. When I called to clarify, I was informed that if I didn’t pay in advance, my booking would be canceled. I explained that according to my Expedia reservation, payment was due at check-in. I was then told that the policy on Expedia was outdated. If that is the case, how am I, as a guest, supposed to be aware of this discrepancy? The staff I dealt with were unhelpful. Plenty of free parking and moderately clean facilities, but the experience was marred by unprofessional service. The staff was argumentative and insisted I pay twice to receive a refund. I had a very bad experience with this hotel, 1. Expedia had already charged me but I had to pay again at the front desk. Where they told me that Expedia would refund my money in 5 days. 2. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious. My only complaint was the location. It’s a bit of a distance from the airport or anything accessible (downtown or stores). It worked fine for a last minute stay during my lay over.

We did not stay! The rooms wreaked of the smell of those cards you put in ones car to nullify the odor of past smoke. It makes you sick to the stomach in a room with no outside air. There is absolutely no security for your vehicle and you are close to a major road artery so noise is becomes a large factor. Furniture and shades in tatters etc. Basically a place to flop if you happen to drink a lot.

Location: The neighborhood feels unsafe at night. Guests are warned not to leave valuables in cars, and the motel itself has locked check-in and warning signs. Safer options may suit cautious travelers better, though the area has daytime attractions. Room #1: Bed was fine, but the room was hot, the AC extremely noisy, and the bathroom fan loud. Security felt poor: no chain lock, dark shared entry, unclear peephole. The TV was awkwardly angled, noise carried easily from next door, curtains didn’t block light, and privacy was minimal. The room was ok, but the stairwell going up to the second floor was very dirty and dark. It felt like I was walking up to a 1970’s apartment. Very sketchy stairwell. Dark and enclosed is not how a stairwell should be constructed for obvious safety reasons. I’ve stayed here in the past and this room is much more private than the one I booked a few weeks ago, so I guess there is one positive. There IS NO FREE BREAKFAST! Why can’t Hotels.com remove that from their profile page??

Expedia says free beeakfast. But there is no breakfast here. When asked, staff has no explanation and ask us to dispute that with Expedia. The place looks very unsafe, messy. AC in the room was very noisy and did not work well. Overall condition is terrible. They charged one day ahead of the stay though expedia says “Pay at property”. During check in, they made me to pay again and refunded what was charged earlier. That looked extremely sketchy! Avoid at all cost!

AC in the room was very noisy and did not work well. Overall condition is terrible. They charged one day ahead of the stay though expedia says “Pay at property”. During check in, they made me to pay again and refunded what was charged earlier. That looked extremely sketchy! Avoid at all cost!

The hotel is older and a bit run down but it is clean and comfortable. If you're looking for a quick overnight, this place is a good find. Free breakfast was advertised but in the morning they said they haven't offered that in awhile.

The checking was terrible. We reached around 2 PM when we were told that the rooms were not ready. We requested the lady checking us in to give is the 2 rooms on the ground floor when they get ready as we were going out for food. We came back at 4:30PM and we were given rooms on the 2nd floor. What was the point of reaching early. We were told the rooms were give to some other family that had come before 4:30 PM. Then the new girl who checked us in told us that she was giving us rooms close to the stairs. Our rooms were bang in the middle of the stairways nowhere close to the exits. The Aircon in our room seemed to have some tripping even at 18 ‘ C it would trip and not come back for 2 hours. Most power outlets did not work and it seems they had outlived their life. The pins would not stay in and would just pop out once you let go of the plug. There is no grocery close to the property. When asked on the ice machine we were told that it broke just today. We check with a neighbour who had been there for 3 days who said it is permanently broken since they came. The mattress were lumpy and soft. Need to be replace since the past many years. All in all a bad experience. Never coming back.

The young lady at the front desk was a lifesaver! She patiently answered all our questions and was super friendly. The rooms were a bit dated, which is understandable given the hotel's age from the 60s. Still, it was a comfortable stay. We appreciated her help throughout our visit!

Room was not good it was so tiny for a couple and a toddler, walls were broken , ac was not working properly, bed mattress was really hard and it was a double bed instead of queen bed, no extra mattress or couch was provided, terrible experience I had.
