Enjoyed the vases of flowers around the hotel, very beautiful! Stafd was nice. Enjoyed our time in the hotel bar, friendly bartender. Nice breakfast. Was an easy and safe walk to the main part of town and thw Althone Castle.

There are no laundry facilities onsite or nearby, despite their listing stating they are available. The bar staff were friendly. Children are allowed in the bar area so there was a lot of running back and forth and screaming. If you are looking for a quiet place to have a pint, this is not it. There is plenty of parking, which is a plus given the limited (free) parking elsewhere in town. If youre up for the walk, its only 10-15 minutes to Sean's Bar.

The apartment was okay. The one thing I would recommend is that the dining and kitchen area be cleaned better. The furniture, such as the couch and chairs should be cleaned better or get leather ones which clean up much better. Also, the carpet could be cleaned. The bedroom and bathroom was fine.

Adequate stay - room was comfortable enough. The furnishings of the room and general decor of the hotel are a bit dated. The welcome was fine, a bit perfunctory. Just to note, I was in room 203 which was *right* above the parking area for food delivery so starting around 5am it got noisy with someone unloading a lorry.

When I arrived at a late hour, there was no room available despite having two emails to confirm my booking. Said there was no record of my booking. Guy at desk told me he arranged bed in nearby hotel and that manager would contact me following day. Arrived at other hotel who said they never heard from hotel I booked and had no rooms. Couldn’t find anywhere and ended up sleeping in car. No contact since from hotel.

Beautiful comfortable accomodations that is walkable to the castle and other sites. We had a lovely birthday dinner in the Lodge's pub . Dessert was divine.

I was part of a group who stayed the night before a meeting in the hotel. We had dinner which was fine and the staff very friendly. The next morning, I failed to get the shower to work despite twisting, pressing and pulling the controls, so I had a bath instead. The hair dryer didn't work. Our meeting of less than 30 people was held in a good sized room. All was fine until perhaps 100 people entered the adjacent room and we discovered that the division between the rooms was only a partition. The level of noise from the larger crowd disrupted our meeting. Some time later we heard hammering from another room where some work was being carried out. Later during lunch, the dining room was full and the level of noise from the crowd made conversation very difficult. Then in the bar after our meeting, the noise from the crowd was also a problem. The hotel and grounds are fine but something needs to be done about reducing noise.

Stains on the carpets. Very tired looking in general. TV had dead pixels. Hairdryer in bathroom damaged previously and had been attempted to be repaired using insulating tape. New staff on front desk at check in making mistakes and was clearly not being supervised and did not have the experience to be left alone to check in guests
