Hotel Drei Könige

Great location to train station and clean rooms. Must take several stairs to reach the lobby which is difficult with suitcases.

Das Hotel ist sehr zentral gelegen. Das Doppelzimmer war sehr gross, einfach eingerichtet und sauber. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Auto kann man im Parkhaus Obere Quader zu einem vergünstigen Preis abstellen.

Old building, has to climb stairs to reception. But staff are kind enough to carry them for us. Elevator very small (only fits in one person and 2 luggages). If more, door won’t be able to close nor open.

Hotel undergoing renovation ,staff seemed overworked . The many stairs from the street to to the lobby were difficult to negotiate with heavy luggage .

Nice rustic hotel that located in heart of Chur. Near train station. One thing that can be improved is that we have to ask for Chur Card instead of automatically given. Another thing that need to be aware when carrying big luggage: is that there is only stairs to get from ground floor to first floor where the receptionist is. And the lift is only on from the first floor.

Did not have breakfast, too many stairs for someone with limited mobility to reception desk from front door and noise from street

We stayed at Hotel Drei Könige for the Bernina Express from Chur to Tirano. Its location near the train station was perfect, especially with heavy bags. However, the first-floor reception has no elevator access from the ground, making luggage transport tough. An elevator exists from the first floor up. Rooms are decent, but the bathroom and shower are small, especially for tall people. No AC forced us to keep windows open, worsening noise from church bells ringing every 15 minutes until 11 PM or midnight and footsteps from rooms above. Fine for a short stay if location is key, but noise and lack of AC are drawbacks.

I don’t like the stairs going into the lobby. When you have luggage from a long day of traveling, it’s a little frustrating. Other than that, everything was great.

The property was in a great location. Only set back is the stairs leading to the reception area; there’s no lift or ramp. If you have an oversized bag or bigger luggage you need help. Unfortunately, no staff to help since only one person at reception

Check in lady was very helpful , however there is no lift from street level to reception and not the steps you need with reduced mobility .The lift to upper floors very small , our room started with a 4 and confusing signs coming out of lift that takes you through a door to more steps going down do not take these .The room had very comfy bed however paper cups and no coffee/ tea or milk to go with kettle . Shower does not point down with jet constantly wants to spray on side of shower .

Although the entrance & reception looked rundown, the room had been recently renovated. The room was spacious, clean & fresh.

I booked at the last minute and was looking for a ´budget' (by Swiss standards) hotel . I paid about 80CHF for a single room with shared toilet, but I was pleasantly surprised to get a shower and toilet in my small room. Everything was very clean even if the furniture is dated. The mattress was confortable and I don't need lots of pillows so I slept well. The sound proofing is bad . The location is excellent. The staff were nice . It would have been nice to have a kettle and cups. I did not spend much time in the room so all was good for me . I did not have breakfast. Really easy to walk to station.

Chur is a small town so everything is close by. The loved the breakfast buffet. The rooms looked very nice and clean until we found a lot of hairs on the sheets, maybe pet hairs, maybe not.

Lovely staff, clean and warm hotel, very comfortable bed. Easy walking distance from the railway station in less than 10 minutes.

This hotel was a disappointment. The reception was very tired and outdated and renovations were ongoing including the corridor outside our room. There were electrical wires on show on the ceiling and plastic covering the floor. The room itself was very clean but only one very flat pillow per person, and as the reception was not manned after 8pm, I could not ask for extra. There was a kettle and paper cups but no tea, sugar or milk. Very poor.

Got a newly renovated room at 4th floor. Feels like we are the first - view is astonishing

Clean room, wonderful staff (Ana on reception is a gem! We didn't meet the housekeeper, they also worked very efficiently to get the room ready!), the room is renovated, there are TV channels in English (BBC, ITV, Channels 4 and 5), close proximity to the train station, refrigerator and free water, variety of light modes/options, mostly quiet, elevator/lift works, beautiful view.

Rooms are neat and clean Very basic and small. Bathrooms are also neat and clean but small. Courteous staff. Looking at above it was expensive to the price that we paid

Stop over in a nice town. Comfortable reasonably priced for Switzerland. No AC but a quiet area so we left the window open. There was a good fan.

Amazing room- refubished and fantastic views of the snowy mountains

Well located property with good breakfast. Short walk for station (Bernina Express) and good food options locally. No Air Con and limited windows (as neighbour’s balcony is nearby) so room is unbearably hot when the heat wave occurs. Very clean and comfortable bed.

Staff lovely and friendly, helped with bags..thank you. Hotel is in a convenient location and rooms were newly renovated, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. Highly recommend this hotel and beautiful Chur.

Friendly and welcoming staff. Clean room however the pillows were abysmal. They were so flat that housekeeping had them folded over like a cushion! Even then, your head fell straight through. We had a double bed and only got a pillow each. There was a fan in the room which was required as it was hot. The shared toilet and shower were clean.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Drei Könige! Although the front desk is only open from 8am to 8pm, we arrived in Chur quite late—around 10pm. Thankfully, the hotel made the late check-in process incredibly smooth by sending us clear and thorough instructions ahead of time. Everything was easy to follow, and we were able to access the hotel without any issues. The room itself exceeded our expectations—it was spacious, beautifully renovated, and spotlessly clean. The linens were crisp and fresh, and the bathroom was a good size with a modern feel. It was the perfect space to unwind after a long journey. We really appreciated the thoughtful touches and the effort they put into making guests feel welcome, even after hours. Would absolutely recommend staying here, and we’d love to return in the future!

We arrived to the hotel late at night and the hotel door was locked and there was no one to open or call. Thanks to the restaurant adjacent to the hotel they helped us to reach our room as there was no one at the reception either. The reception was working during certain hours and they send us this information via email only AFTER seven hours than our check out. We literally self checked in and self checked out. Can not recommend to anyone

The room was great. Beautiful town view for our window. Front desk was welcoming and friendly. very close to the train station in a nice small town downtown area. Definitely would stay here again.

Thank you for the stay, the tv wasn’t working quite right but they looked after us. The staff seemed genuinely sincere in making you feel welcome & comfortable. Lugging up the suitcases to the first floor was a workout but they have a small elevator to take over once you hit reception.

It was unfortunate to have to carry luggage upstairs but, Vanessa was fantastic amd carried my wife's luggage. Vanessa was so helpful and accommodating and helped with everything we asked.

There‘re few steps from entrance to the reception. Beware about check in time. 15:30 - 20:00 We arrived at noon but the rooms are ready and the receptionist let us check in right away. Rooms are very clean and the room we booked are on the top floor which are newly renovated. Breakfast was good as a three stars property. Staff was very friendly and helpful

Great hotel in a great town. Enjoyed staying here. Front desk staff was excellent.

Our stay was brief but comfortable the staff was friendly and very helpful. We're traveling by train so we got in very late and left very early. But we called the hotel from the train and the night clerk gave us the information to access the hotel since the desk closed at 10 pm.

Hotel was clean and were very helpful. The only downside was the noise level of traffic, trams and people walking past the hotel at the very early hours.

It was a very comfortable hotel, clean and housekeeping was exceptional. good choice at breakfast, very central for shops and cable car, also Cathedral. I would recommend this hotel, also very close to the railway station

Hotel was lovely. Walk with luggage to hotel was manageable—especially due to large pedestrian walkway from railroad station. Breakfast was delicious and hotel staff very kind and considerate. / The only “heads up” would be there are lots of steps (maybe 20) to get to the reception area and no one to assist. We were lucky to get assistance from another guest. Hotel DOES have elevator to get to guest rooms but not at entrance. We had dinner at the hotel’s restaurant—which was nice. Across the street is a Michelin Star restaurant — excellent!! Splurge!! Well worth it. Ask hotel front desk for discount for Chur Brambrüesch (aerial cableway). It was a beautiful excursion. At the top, we stopped at a little family-run hotel/restaurant for beer/wine and food. Don’t be intimidated by the mountain bikes and professional hikers, there is a nice flat pathway in which you can enjoy without being too overwhelming. The views are amazing!! Chur is a quaint town. We stayed for 3 nights prior to taking the Glacier Express to Zermatt. // As for GE, if you don’t want to order overpriced food on GE, pick up your own lunch at a local shop in Chur!! We stopped at a small store in train station (left side as you go down escalator) - ZANETTI. Perfect!! They were incredibly kind and sandwiches were delicious. On GE we ordered wine and ate our packed sandwiches. We noticed many others had packed their own food. Chur was a delightful town with lots to see, good restaurants and shopping!

Fast internet. Breakfast was superb. Just a few steps to Bernina train.
