We had a wonderful 3-night stay in The Cotswolds. The house and grounds are lovely and located in a charming, walkable village, complete with a historic church and community-run shop that covered all our needs. Kirstie's house is gorgeous and comfortable for the five of us. Beds and bedding were so comfortable - like a fine hotel! The kitchen was massive and very well-stocked. We hung out quite a bit in the kitchen for meals. There's also a beautiful patio area off the kitchen. The grounds lead to fields with a horse and sheep which was fun. Kirstie was a lovely host with many recommendations for the area. We are from the US, but my sister-in-law is from Ireland, so she drove. The house was such a great central location for seeing the Cotswolds in a couple days. Blenheim Palace is very close and offers a lovely afternoon tea in The Orangery. We also checked out Chipping Norton, Burford, Great Tew, Hidcote Manor, Bourton on the Water, Stow on the Wold, and Broadway with it's iconic tower which was amazing! Absolutely gorgeous scenery, charming pubs and a lovely, peaceful home to come back to in the evening. Highly recommended!
