We stayed 4 nights while visiting family. 3 of those nights there was a homeless person staying in the parking lot. I had requested housekeeping each day and only received it one day. And that was after specifically going to the front desk to ask again. Those little trash cans fill up fast with 4 people in a room. And why do they only give you 3 towels for a 4 person room? That drives me bananas! We only had 3 pillows per bed which is inconvenient when you're trying to sit in bed. It's the little things that separate the comfortable, nice hotels from the basic hotels. Was told there is no pool on site when actually they do have a pool but it was inoperable. The air handler was exceptionally noisy whole running. The ice machine was also broken while we were there. Breakfast was typical except there was no fruit available. No microwave in the room either, weird. Overall it was a clean hotel. And the front desk people were very friendly. But I would try another hotel in the area before staying here again.

Staff was very friendly & helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious with a variety of both hot and healthy options available. Ice machine was broken but staff was happy to provide bagged ice from a freezer when asked. The pool was down for repairs which was disappointing since the Expedia description said there was a pool. I would gladly stay here again.

Pool was out of order and Hotels.com doesn't list. For refunds hotel cannot help you. You have to deal with Hotels.com. Took over 3 hrs total on phone to get refund.

Dated rooms (depressing color scheme - dark yellowish, small closet for storage), minimum furniture. Breakfast being prepared by night shift attendant who doesn't really care (no fresh/hot coffee) and kitchen lady showed up 1/2 hr. late. One more thing, they charge for parking - $3.00 With tons of space available on the property and nearby, they automatically charge for parking, without even asking if you driving or came by the cab. You'll find out about that when they send a final bill.

Entire staff was very friendly (young man at front desk is excellent), breakfast selections were awesome, and we will likely stay at this Fairfield again. That said, the pool and gym were closed the entire weekend due to maintenance, our room had no toilet paper (front desk brought some to us right away when we asked), and the bathtub looked like it could use some bleach. This is the worst Fairfield we've stayed at in the Midwest, but one of the best hotels we've stayed at in Michigan...would've gave 5 stars if the pool and gym were available.

Great experience at Fairfield West. Mia was exceptionally kind and helpful at check-in. Property was very clean. The breakfast and breakfast staff were wonderful. We will return if we are in the area !

The hotel itself was fine. Our room was VERY clean. I am one of those people that wipe everything down before moving in and I was extremely impressed how clean it was. Unfortunately, there was a softball tournament going on and the hotel was filled with extremely inconsiderate people. Blaring music at 5:30am, slamming doors at all hours, yelling in the halls and running through the hotel like it was a play gym.

All was well except my shower/tub had an adjustable height shower head without a knob to tighten. The shower head was perpetually bent to the left when used. The actual tub faucet was hanging out into the tub by a few inches. I wasn’t there long enough to report it until I left. Anyone cleaning that bathroom would have known it needed maintenance.

I paid for a room with a king bed and we were given a room with 2 full beds instead. Hotel management said all other rooms with a king bed were either full or out of service. They said if I would\'ve booked through them they could have given me a discount but there was nothing on their end they could do since, "I booked through a third party." I tried to contact Expedia customer service about the issue, but I could only find a chat box which was not helpful and the problem was never resolved. I was never notified about this change before check in and feel like I should be compensated for the inconvenience.

The pool was closed, so the kids were bummed, but it did state it was closed on the website. The rooms were clean. 1 room in our group had no microwave. 1 room in our group the drawers would not stay closed on the dresser, but all in all it was worth the money.

I reserved my room and paid via Expedia, yet Fairfield invoiced me again. Following a phone call, they promised to credit my account, but instead, I received another charge. After trying to contact them for a resolution, they neglected to return my call. A subsequent attempt to reach them was met with an unanswered phone call. This disappointing experience has led me to decide against staying at Fairfield in the future.

After trying to contact them for a resolution, they neglected to return my call. A subsequent attempt to reach them was met with an unanswered phone call. This disappointing experience has led me to decide against staying at Fairfield in the future.

The day before I arrived Lansing had a huge storm, and many were without power. When I arrived at the hotel I was informed that the hotel had no rooms because of the power issue. By the time I arrived, every hotel in the Lansing area was full because of the number of hotels that were without power. I would have appreciated a call and then I could have made alternate reservations. It could be the best hotel in the world and I would not stay there again because of this issue. The front desk clerk was very nice when she told me the bad news, and I understand that she was just the messenger

Great experience at Fairfield West. Mia was exceptionally kind and helpful at check-in. Property was very clean. The breakfast and breakfast staff were wonderful. We will return if we are in the area !

The property was kept up nicely and the staff were all very friendly. We have booked our stay in two different bookings so the were supposed to clean our room after the second day but no one cleaned it but I am guessing that it wasn’t clear on the paperwork.

Staff was very nice and cordial and helpful. Breakfast included was very good and tasty. Everything was hot and ready to go. Maybe adding muffins would be nice. Work out room was very small. Room was clean and tidy but needs updating. Area was quiet too which was appreciated.

Nice motel, clean and quiet, easy to find. Staff not overly friendly though, on check in they woman didn’t smile, welcome me, or tell me about their breakfast service. Not real frie- same way with the morning staff other than the sweet woman who tends the breakfast food. She was sweet. I like friendly people, makes a difference!

Kids were loud the pool was closed and the breakfast had waffles that u put in the toaster. They should have lower prices for what they offer.

We stayed for a week, was hoping to come back to relax in a pool, no pool, no discount, they asked if we want daily room service or every other day, we said every other did not come till last day of stay. Breakfast food was not bad, one day the sausage were still frozen. The staff over all were friendly and nice.

It took a long time to check in. The clerk kept going to “check on something”. She finally told us she wanted to make sure everything worked in the room the switched us to. The shower didn’t drain properly and was disgusting with things floating in the tub that came up out of the drain. Looking at my invoice, there was a $20 charge for incidentals. Instead of refunding it, they charged it again. I’m going to give it a day or so to see if that changes. If not, I’m definitely calling them. We didn’t do anything extra and the front desk clerk said it would be refunded. We’ll see!

The air conditioning in our unit did not work. Since we did not notice until 11:30 pm, we did not want to re-pack up and move rooms. After telling the desk manager in the morning, she was very apologetic and offered future benefits. On a positive note, check-in receptionist Chris Christen was professional, friendly, efficient and engaging. All the staff were great
