Back before the pandemic we chose this hotel because it had a great pool, great location, and a great breakfast BUFFET. The location is still great and so is the pool. BUT the pandemic made the buffet disappear (which is what happened in the pandemic years). But it never came back!!! Now instead there is the Luna Cafe and although they serve a great breakfast: IT IS NOT A BUFFET. Instead you have to WAIT inline to order, then sit down somewhere and WAIT until they make it and WAIT until they deliver it to you. That might be okay if you are not in a rush and want a freshly cooked breakfast. But not if you are in a hurry. This hotel is right next to 101 so it really should have the buffet option so people who stay for a night on their way elsewhere do not have to allocate 45 minutes for breakfast. (Yes it takes that long).

The woman who checked us in was very friendly and efficient. The main entry room was very clean and modern. But, our room was dingy and had old furniture. “ Retro” doesn’t mean old worn out furniture in poor shape. The chairs at the table had deep holes once sitting in them. It was so bad that our chins were almost even with the table. The orange chair with ottoman looked dingy and worn out. The bed was comfortable. The carpets need to be replaced as they are also old and look dingy, dirty. You could smell burnt popcorn coming from the hallway, as there was a conference room not far down the hall from us. Parking was terrible. The hotel should have and reinforce numbered parking spots for the guests staying at the hotel. There was a convention going on and we had to park far away and drag our luggage around the entire building because there were so many cars there. I would not stay there again.
