Conveniently located to Fussen, the castles, spa and paraglide. The staff was very helpful. Extra room amenities weren't provided (water, tissues...). Breakfast was not included but could purchase separately. Bottles of water could be purchased during restaurant operating hours. There was also a vending machine for beverages and water as well. Parking would be an issue for late arrivals.

The property was in a beautiful area with a great view of Neuschwanstein and a short drive to the parking for both Hohenschwangau and Neuschwantein Castles. There is a restaurant on site with limited hours but breakfast was fantastic with a good variety. There is an additional fee but well worth it!. As we were always out and about all day, we were unable to make it for dinner but it is available and I'm sure it would be wonderful as well! The room itself was clean and nice and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We absolutely loved our 3 night stay there! I was concerned about the accessibility to get in our room for the first night as all my communication with the staff previous to our stay had been in German with me using Google Translate and we were arriving after office hours, however, when we arrived, quite late, the staff had waited for us and were able to communicate in English quite well so everything turned out perfect! I definitely recommend Hotel Hanselewirt for families or couples. They even had a playroom for small children. Parking was also included and convenient. Thanks Hotel Hanselewirt for a wonderful stay!

We enjoyed dinner and breakfast which was delicious! While walking around the neighborhood we found a lovely park which was the trailhead to several hikes, and had a great lookout point to see the entire area. We found a trail that ran along the lake, some fun little shops, a grocery store and gas station, and a lot of friendly local people. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was a big balcony area with tables and chairs upstairs along with a common room that had a community refrigerator. It rained a lot, but the hotel had loaner umbrellas. The room was very comfortable, the shower was great! The bed, my husband thought it was fine but me . . . I must be a princess of the highest rank. 😋

Existem vários restaurantes próximos ao hotel e dentro do próprio hotel. Possui estacionamento grátis e fica na direção do castelo o que permite várias fotos legais. Super recomendo e voltaria a me hospedar neste hotel.

This was a stop off on the way to Italy from the UK. We stopped to see the castles, which were within a few miles. The hotel was lovely. It is small, clean and the rooms were great. The welcome was friendly and there was a good recommendation for dinner. Breakfast was really good as well. We didn't eat in the restaurant for our evening meal. The menu looked typical for the area but we have a vegetarian daughter and there wasn't really any option for her. However, again this wasn't unusual at a lot of restaurants. Would really recommend

Good average hotel in the town with restaurant. Short drive to Neuschwanstein Castle or 30-40 minutes walking distance to the area then 30 minutes hike to the castle. Good breakfast options provided with full buffet. Could be a bit cleaner but overall it was good.

The room was immaculate. The man behind the desk was less than personable. I read this in quite a few other reviews, so I know I am not alone in thinking this. This a hospitality business and a smile or ‘How are you today?” Goes a long way.

Location is great if you want a hike/ cycle/ drive to the 2x castles or even if you want to go to the cable car. There is a service station not far that is ideal for Sunday morning pastries/ coffee/ food and fuel. We did not eat at the hotel as we had so many options pizza, Asian local The staff were friendly and helpful, explaining our free bus pass.
Location is great if you want a hike/ cycle/ drive to the 2x castles or even if you want to go to the cable car. Der empfang war nicht besetzt bei unserer Anreise, obwohl besetzt sein sollte, so angekündigt. Die Lage ist gut und das Hotel gepflegt. Zimmer frisch renoviert. Der empfang war nicht besetzt bei unserer Anreise, obwohl besetzt sein sollte, so angekündigt. Die Lage ist gut und das Hotel gepflegt. Zimmer frisch renoviert. The room was immaculate. The man behind the desk was less than personable. I read this in quite a few other reviews, so I know I am not alone in thinking this. This a hospitality business and a smile or ‘How are you today?” Goes a long way.

Breakfast was not included but could purchase separately. Bottles of water could be purchased during restaurant operating hours. There was also a vending machine for beverages and water as well. Parking would be an issue for late arrivals.

Location is great if you want a hike/ cycle/ drive to the 2x castles or even if you want to go to the cable car. There is a service station not far that is ideal for Sunday morning pastries/ coffee/ food and fuel. We did not eat at the hotel as we had so many options pizza, Asian local The staff were friendly and helpful, explaining our free bus pass.

When I go here it was quiet and calm.price are good. If you are here to see the castle, there is a bus stop next street (+-1.50€). Check with google for hour.

The property was in a beautiful area with a great view of Neuschwanstein and a short drive to the parking for both Hohenschwangau and Neuschwantein Castles. There is a restaurant on site with limited hours but breakfast was fantastic with a good variety. There is an additional fee but well worth it!. As we were always out and about all day, we were unable to make it for dinner but it is available and I'm sure it would be wonderful as well! The room itself was clean and nice and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We absolutely loved our 3 night stay there! I was concerned about the accessibility to get in our room for the first night as all my communication with the staff previous to our stay had been in German with me using Google Translate and we were arriving after office hours, however, when we arrived, quite late, the staff had waited for us and were able to communicate in English quite well so everything turned out perfect! I definitely recommend Hotel Hanselewirt for families or couples. They even had a playroom for small children. Parking was also included and convenient. Thanks Hotel Hanselewirt for a wonderful stay!

Let me start with the comfortable beds! After 3 weeks of roaming Europe this was the most comfortable bed. The gal at the front desk was very friendly, kind and helpful. The hotel is walking distance to a handful of restaurants and very close to theneuschwanstein castle. I would stay here again, no worries.

We enjoyed dinner and breakfast which was delicious! While walking around the neighborhood we found a lovely park which was the trailhead to several hikes, and had a great lookout point to see the entire area. We found a trail that ran along the lake, some fun little shops, a grocery store and gas station, and a lot of friendly local people. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was a big balcony area with tables and chairs upstairs along with a common room that had a community refrigerator. It rained a lot, but the hotel had loaner umbrellas. The room was very comfortable, the shower was great! The bed, my husband thought it was fine but me . . . I must be a princess of the highest rank. 😋

Es war alles sauber, NUR die WC-Bürste dürfte mal gewechselt werden. Die liess zu wünschen übrig. Leider konnten wir im Restaurant nicht essen gehen, obwohl im Schaukasten bei den Speisekarte die Öffnungszeiten standen und offen sein sollte, war es geschlossen. Was SEHR GUT war, war das Frühstück, so eine Auswahl hatte ich schon lang nicht mehr.
Es war alles sauber, NUR die WC-Bürste dürfte mal gewechselt werden. Die liess zu wünschen übrig. Leider konnten wir im Restaurant nicht essen gehen, obwohl im Schaukasten bei den Speisekarte die Öffnungszeiten standen und offen sein sollte, war es geschlossen. Please check your Expedia messages before you arrive.Mr. Shryger the owner of the hotel had to ride to come after 8 pm to meet me to let me in the hotel since there is no receptionist at the hotel after 6 pm. The hotel doors are secured and no way to get in unless you read the message from Mr. Shryger on how to access the hotel doors. The rooms are super clean and renovated with nice showers and the breakfast is super awesome but you have to psy 15 euros for it which is a reasonable price. The hotel is family owned not a chain owned, very quiet rooms but still we can hear next door or the people in the hall way. Mr. Shryger the hotel owner is very accommodating but was kind of not happy when i didn't read the 4 messages he sent on how to get into the hotel after 6 pm and he had to come to let me i on his day off. Sorry Mr. Shryger, Expedia never inform us there are messages and thank you for all your effort. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area.
