Mercedes (front desk) was super helpful, professional & friendly. Check in was a breeze. The location is quiet & there were plenty of parking spaces available. It’s also only a few minutes drive to hwy 101. I will definitely stay again at this property.

The bathroom bathtub was very dirty. You have to ask for towels because they don’t give you enough. You have to ask for soap and shampoo, which is normally provided. The hallways smelled like food. The luggage mover was beyond difficult to work. The automatic front doors into the lobby did not Work. The staff did not ask if we enjoyed our stay or was everything ok…. absolutely nothing. Will never return.

We had to stay an extra night for tests unexpectedly and were trying to find a hotel at the last minute with a decent price and dog-friendly. The person working at the desk was so accommodating and helpful! There was lots of parking (not common in this area) and were able to get food delivery easily. Room was roomy and very clean. Highly Recommend!

Both of the rooms that I stayed in smelled awful, like mildew. Causing our luggage to pick up the smell of the musky rooms. The inside of this property has never been remodeled for decades.The surrounding area outside is safe with no suspicious activity. The hot coffee that the hotel provides in the morning is made using TAP water, which is very unfortunate.

The property smelled old (like it had sewer problems) and the room had a lingering cigarette smell. I had to purchase lysol to try to clear the smell and feel some sort of cleanliness to the room. The staff was great!! Very professional and accommodating. I let them know i wasn't satisfied and they switched my room. It was a little better but not by much. I didnt expect much and got exactly that...not much.

Pro: Great location. Con: Mostly self-service experience. Room services won't be done if not asked. Trashes won't be taken away if not asked. We even saw a full trash can, left by the previous guest in the room. Well, I think they can definitely have done it better.

This property is a life hazard when it comes to cleanliness. My bed sheets had a lot of stains on them, I asked the front desk for cleaning services and they said they will only clean your room after you stay for 2 weeks, I said I will pay for it but they never cleaned my room even with me paying for it. Will never stay at this hotel. Trusted the online reviews but apparently online reviews are not accurate.

Front desk agent was very abrupt. Tried being lightheaded with him and he warmed up “fairly” after a few attempts but I guess that’s just your average customer service to expect these days. Room had one missing door on the closet one im kinda particular about things being closed and the curtain was somewhat broken. Overall it was just ok. Probably wouldn’t stay again unless I had to.

I had to wait for someone to come to the desk when I arrived after 5 hours of travel. The person was busy in the back room and asked me to take a seat. No shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, shower cap, moisturizer, coffee, cups, glasses, or coffee machine in the room. Ad says fully equipped kitchen. I called the front desk for items, and shampoo, hard soap, coffee machine, and utensils were delivered. No conditioner, shower gel, shower cap, or moisturizer. The front desk claimed it was aginast the law to have these items in the room. I could not use the shower; there was no handle to hold on to or a rubber anti-slip mat in the shower. It is unsafe for a senior like myself. There also wasn't a hand extension for the shower. I was told by the person at the front desk they do not provide it in any of their rooms. I have a medical procedure in the morning and cannot take a shower beforehand. This should be reported as an unsafe hotel to Cal Osha or other authorities. Ad says Free Breakfast- it's free coffee and a muffin. Perhaps the verbiage should be changed. This should also be posted on the Expedias/ Stay America website and it wasn't. Shameful. I want a refund!

The front desk drivers license scanner pulled incorrect information from the license. I was very worried because I was flying out very soon. After spending about 5 hours navigating various government sites, it was determined that the hotel scanner gave wrong information. When the front desk was imformed, they were unapologetic.

Clean and quiet, next to a large office building so there was plenty of parking. i got the feeling there were many permanent residents living there but not sure. Not a problem anyway. The area surrounding the place was pretty quiet as it was a weekend and most places were closed save a few restaurants that might be in walking distance. i would stay there again.

Mercedes (front desk) was super helpful, professional & friendly. Check in was a breeze. The location is quiet & there were plenty of parking spaces available. It’s also only a few minutes drive to hwy 101. I will definitely stay again at this property.

I have stayed at many EXT properties, San Carlos is by far my favorite. Clean, great location, next to shopping, food, parks and dog friendly.

Staff was nowhere to be seen in the morning for the front desk and the breakfast option that it says it’s included it’s a joke. The coffee taste more like water then coffee and they just have one fruit and like two different bread options with coffee or hot chocolate.

Hotel seems good but spoiled by little cheap things. Breakfast was advertised, but actually consisted ONLY of instant oatmeal in a plastic cup. (After I checked out, I was told there were muffins in a cupboard, out of sight!) Big surprise, for a business hotel, there were no USB charging ports, nor any charging bricks to loan or rent. Since I assumed there would be, I didn’t bring a charging brick, and could do no work! No shampoo provided except if you ask. Overall, basically good but spoiled by little corner cytting

Both of the rooms that I stayed in smelled awful, like mildew. Causing our luggage to pick up the smell of the musky rooms. The inside of this property has never been remodeled for decades.The surrounding area outside is safe with no suspicious activity. The hot coffee that the hotel provides in the morning is made using TAP water, which is very unfortunate.

The rooms come fully equipped with a full kitchen yet they don’t provide you not even a cup or spoon. The so-called breakfast is a joke. A coffee urn and some granola bars.

This was a good stay. The only thing we would have liked to see different would be the breakfast. They say breakfast included, but it was muffins and granola bars. Other than that, everything was good.

Have to wait for a front desk agent! Wait ranges from 5-10 minutes. Limited breakfast bar. Coffee and oatmeal packets and that’s all.

They are currently under construction so the property is pretty messy. The landscape is OK but the parking lot was dirty and the drain spout from the AC units drains in front of the side entrance doors. Last week and this week the same big box (garbage) was in the landscape area. There are people working on cars in the parking lot.

Hmm, not the worst place to stay. However, I had to ask for dishes and soap. The floor was not very clean, there were no closet doors, only one chair to sit in, and no full length mirror. On the up side, the fridge and counters were clean, the bed was ok. The clerk gave me shampoo and hand soap as well.

1. We were 4 travelers and our booking had asked for two Queen beds. We were provided a room with 1 king bed and 1 sofa bed. The Sofa Bed was full of mold and dust and could not be used. We had to complain, and the staff did their best to clean it up (maybe - we don't know, we were told they cleaned). 2. Utensils provided were insufficient. No cutting board. No pans could be found. 3. Cleaning once in 15 days does NOT work. I would never again stay in Extended Stay unless serious changes are made. You do charge top dollars but service provided in not commensurate.

Strange bed smell like mildew and sex. No shampoo in the bathroom. No waste basket. Breakfast was horrible: expected eggs and sausage and got packages of oatmeal. You can't afford eggs and sausage? For 3 bills a night?

When we arrived for our Stanford visit, we chose this hotel because of the price. At the check-in desk, there was a sign that said.” be right back.” we waited 15 minutes and no one showed. I knocked on the employee door around the corner. No one answered. Pretty soon a girl walking very slowly came out of her room and showed up at the desk. Didn’t even apologize. If you want ghetto, this is your place. I think people are living here. I smelled mildew in the room all night, as I laid in the bed. Completely outdated from the 80s. Things were dirty. The mirror had something all over it and wasn’t cleaned. Things were rusty. I opted not to shower in the morning. Parking was OK because obviously the hotel was not full.
