Our recent two-day stay at this fantastic hotel was truly unforgettable. Nestled conveniently close to major transport links and the main town area, it made getting around incredibly easy. Despite its central location, the hotel offered a serene breathtaking views. We stayed in a spacious loft-style room that featured a private balcony overlooking the majestic Eiger. The unobstructed views of the rolling hills and towering peaks were absolutely mesmerizing, especially from the high vantage point of our room. It was a perfect spot to unwind and soak in the natural beauty. While parking was a bit challenging, the hotel provided a designated lot and a convenient area for loading and unloading, which effectively minimized any hassle. Overall, our experience was exceptional. The combination of spectacular scenery, comfortable accommodations, and prime location left us very happy with our stay. This was a great place to stay. Perfect location right next to the train station. Front desk was extremely friendly and helpful. The sauna was super. And the included breakfast was excellent, too. A great deal for Grindelwald, as well.

I checked in solo two days earlier than a group I was going to meet. As I had requested, the hotel was able to keep me in the same room for the duration of my visit, which was very convenient. The staff at reception and housekeeping have been very friendly, helpful, and always follow up on any requests. The hotel is charming and very clean with a large breakfast buffet. They even changed out the chair in my room so I would have something more comfortable. I would definitely stay here again. The adjacent restaurant is very convenient and has a great menu.

My stay was marred by a cleaning lady who took short cuts. She did not: 1) give me fresh towels 2) clean my cups (with a used tea bag) 3) provide me with fresh toiletries 4) clear my champagne bucket which had become a bucket of water. When I arrived at the hotel, it must be the same cleaning lady who overlooked the fact that the toiletries given to me were half used. It is a shame that the property has sloppy staff like this. To be fair, when I complained, the other staff immediately addressed the issues. I also especially liked the staff on night duty at the reception, a gentleman from Portugal. He was really helpful and friendly. The hotel is one of the closest hotel to the train station, so that was great. However, there is not much to eat around the hotel. When we wanted to dine at the hotel one night when it was raining very heavily, we were told that the restaurant was only opened to “half boarders” and not casual diners like me even though I was a hotel guest! Luckily there are some restaurants up the road. I guess if the hotel had been hospitable enough, they should have made an exception in view of the heavy rain!

We really enjoyed being there at the amazing hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were really friendly and helpful. What’s more, the hotel is at a perfect spot right new to the train station, and yet having a nice view of Eiger from the balcony! We absolutely loved our stay at the hotel!

The breasfast is good, I stayed 3 nights without supply renewals of facial tissues and tea bags,etc. The coffee maker works intermittently. Very close to train station, but the rent is quite high.

Really enjoyed staying here. The rooms are small - but that is pretty typical in Europe. It was a little hot since we came during a heatwave and it does not have air conditioning, but the evenings were cool, and we could leave the patio door open for relief. It does get a little noisy in the early morning because that's when traffic starts to pick up. It is conveniently located right across the street from the train station. The 2nd floor restaurant was great - breakfast (buffet) was included, and we ate on the beautiful patio every morning. Breakfast was good and had all that you expect (fruit, cheese, meats, eggs, pancakes, etc.). Including rice and miso soup with tofu for Asian guests, I assume. We also had dinner there one night, and it was very good. My wife says the steak with chimichurri was the best she's ever had. And she's not a meat-eater. Staff were super friendly and helpful.

The property is right next to the train station. Just 30 sec walk ! Extremely convenient ! Room is clean, nice and comfortable. However, because of its convenient location, you might hear people chatting and smelt people smoking downstairs on the street.

The location was incredibly convenient—just steps from the train station and within easy walking distance to restaurants and gondolas. Our room was fantastic: a spacious duplex with 1.5 bathrooms and a stunning view, which made our stay both fun and comfortable. However, the elevator and hallway were quite narrow, which made it a bit tricky to maneuver our stroller and luggage. As for breakfast, it was decent, though nothing particularly memorable.

Be advised if a non-smoker. We got an Eiger view room with balcony. But even though our room was a non-smoking room, we couldn't enjoy sitting on the balcony because either people on the balcony next to us or using the restaurant below us were smoking and it came up to our room. Couldn't even open the window at night for cool air.

We picked this hotel in part because it said it has air conditioning. We found out it only has it in two super expensive rooms. I find that to be very dishonest. They said ...who said we have AC? Only all the hotel sites in the general information section and your own online answers about the property

Service was great. The front desk people, including the hotel manager were great. They gave us great advice on places to go and see while we were there. They were very helpful. We went to the restaurant once but it was good. The hotel is located right by the bus stop and not far from the grocery store. The only issue for us was our room was right above the dining area so at night we would sometimes get cigarette smoke in our room and would have to close our windows. Everything else was great.

I checked in solo two days earlier than a group I was going to meet. As I had requested, the hotel was able to keep me in the same room for the duration of my visit, which was very convenient. The staff at reception and housekeeping have been very friendly, helpful, and always follow up on any requests. The hotel is charming and very clean with a large breakfast buffet. They even changed out the chair in my room so I would have something more comfortable. I would definitely stay here again. The adjacent restaurant is very convenient and has a great menu.

For every additional coffee pod the guy at the reception asked me for CHF 3.5! Never experienced this in my 30 years of travel. Very old hotel.

Super convenient location with nice views from the balcony. Easy walk to the Main Street of Grindelwald as well as the gondola for First and the gondola to the Jungfrau. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

We’ve got Eiger view room on the 5th floor, oh my goodness, it was so beautiful. Room was big and everything was perfect. Location is perfect too, it is Just a minute walk from the train station, bus station is just opposite the hotel. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby.

Really enjoyed staying here. The rooms are small - but that is pretty typical in Europe. It was a little hot since we came during a heatwave and it does not have air conditioning, but the evenings were cool, and we could leave the patio door open for relief. It does get a little noisy in the early morning because that's when traffic starts to pick up. It is conveniently located right across the street from the train station. The 2nd floor restaurant was great - breakfast (buffet) was included, and we ate on the beautiful patio every morning. Breakfast was good and had all that you expect (fruit, cheese, meats, eggs, pancakes, etc.). Including rice and miso soup with tofu for Asian guests, I assume. We also had dinner there one night, and it was very good. My wife says the steak with chimichurri was the best she's ever had. And she's not a meat-eater. Staff were super friendly and helpful.

This was a great place to stay. Perfect location right next to the train station. Front desk was extremely friendly and helpful. The sauna was super. And the included breakfast was excellent, too. A great deal for Grindelwald, as well.

My stay was marred by a cleaning lady who took short cuts. She did not: 1) give me fresh towels 2) clean my cups (with a used tea bag) 3) provide me with fresh toiletries 4) clear my champagne bucket which had become a bucket of water. When I arrived at the hotel, it must be the same cleaning lady who overlooked the fact that the toiletries given to me were half used. It is a shame that the property has sloppy staff like this. To be fair, when I complained, the other staff immediately addressed the issues. I also especially liked the staff on night duty at the reception, a gentleman from Portugal. He was really helpful and friendly. The hotel is one of the closest hotel to the train station, so that was great. However, there is not much to eat around the hotel. When we wanted to dine at the hotel one night when it was raining very heavily, we were told that the restaurant was only opened to “half boarders” and not casual diners like me even though I was a hotel guest! Luckily there are some restaurants up the road. I guess if the hotel had been hospitable enough, they should have made an exception in view of the heavy rain!

駅のすぐそばで便利。アイガーが見える部屋を選びました。広さも十分。グリンデルワルトでエアコンがあるホテルはほぼ無いと思うのでしょうがないのですが、8月は本当に暑かった。。。屋上テラスで山々を見ながらボーっとするのも良い時間でした。

So convenient to train station (especially helpful upon arrival/departure with luggage) also very accessible to other points In Grindelwald. Nightly live music was enjoyable, even from balcony. Staff extremely nice and helpful. On site laundry is a plus (but it gets backed up with 3 washer/dryers, plan ahead).

The Location was excellent. The Train station was 50 Meters to The Right? The Bus terminal Cross the street and the Eiger and mountains region was at our Balcony. Breakfast was very good and the Staff there was Amazing. The Wellness center was a Good added Benefit across from our room on the 6th Floof. The Views from our balcony were Breathtaking with it changing every few minutes. The Room was a Nice Size with a tub but No Air-conditioning. They brought up some fans and we left the Balcony door up with the cool weather. The Town was very nice and The Food very good, including the Restauarant at Kruez and Post. On another note. Swiss water is Excellent and fountains Everywher in Switzerland. Beware all Restauarants we went to, charged between 2 - 6 Franks for Tap water. The same from your bathroom sink
