The staff, particularly the desk person, was very helpful. She had everything ready when we checked in and gave us a quiet room on the 4th floor. She answered all of our questions about breakfast, which was special, with scrambled eggs and sausage, large and small waffles, decaffeinated and caffeinated coffee, assorted juices, cereal, and yogurt. It filled us up before heading to the Creation Museum. It just so happened that one of the staff members had a birthday that day, and all of the people in the breakfast room sang to her. Parking was free and made it easy to unload and get to our room. The room was clean and had soap, shampoo, body wash, and conditioner. We also had a small fridge. Our only complaint was the bed. It seemed to be squished at one end, which made it difficult to sleep right away.

The first room we were given had a really strong smell of mold/mildew. Thankfully, our reception person accompanied us to the room to smell it for herself and admitted it was pretty bad. She then gave us another room which was fine. But the hallway on the 3rd floor also had a musty smell so we were glad the second room was on a different floor.

Hotel is in major need of updating. We could not use the security lock (the swivel square), as it was bent and locked us out whenever we left. The staff member finally taped it shut so it wouldn't lock us out anymore. There were no more suites, so he said he couldn't move us to another room. The air conditioner had a very bad smell to it, and the fan to push air to the "living" area just made the smell worse. The hallways smelled like stale smoke. The sausage gravy and biscuits for breakfast was really good! I wouldn't stay here again unless they had done some major rennovations.
