The indoor pool was empty unfortunately. Looks like they tried to epoxy the bathroom counters, but got "a deal". Holes in the bathroom wall from previous towel racks or other hardware. Very old feeling hotel with semi modern/budgeted renovations. I thinkni could of got a better hotel for $120. Not terrible, but room for improvement most definitely.

Our room had water damaged ceilings, the wallpaper was peeling, none of the surfaces were clean, and everything had like a layer of dust or grime on it. The window in our room wouldn't close all the way. So bugs would be flying in. The bedding had pee stains. The entire bottom of the bath curtain was covered in mildew and the bathroom in general just wasn't very clean. The staff working there just seemed like we were imposing on them or interrupting them for anything including just checking in. Even the custodial staff seemed like we were imposing on them when they needed to come clean the room because it was nasty.They did come and "fix" some issues: they came and cleaned the floors and changed out the shower curtain and the sheets. The cleaning supplies the staff were using are just bad. From what I saw they were doing what the could with what they have, but it is very bad. I don't know how they expect the staff to maintain the already falling apart rooms. I didn't even bother to go down for breakfast because I just didn't think the food would be safe to eat based on everything else I saw. The one thing that was all right was the pool. The water was cold but clean. You could tell the pool had recently been updated as well, so it was in decent shape. I would have went somewhere else but the room's are not refundable.

Good location. The pool was closed some during our stay which was inconvenient.

Pool was slimy and unclean. Continental Breakfast was stale and poor tasting. Staff weren't helpful. Arcade was advertised but not operational.

I stayed at this hotel about 3 years ago and it needed some upgrades then and it looks like the new owners have taken the necessary steps and made some serious improvements like both elevators are working now which is amazing. The carpet has been replaced. The chipped and broken concrete around the indoor pool has been fixed. They seem to have a shortage on towels though and for a hotel to have indoor swimming pool and no towels by the pool or in the workout room just seems kind of odd to me. But if towels were there only problem I give this hotel two stars out of five.

The lobby and pool area were the only nice things about this hotel. The pool water was very green which was disturbing. The bar area looks like it hasn’t been operational in years. The hallway smelled awful. The bathroom was falling apart. The staff act like they hate their jobs. The hot breakfast was awful. I think they just put the same food out every day until it’s gone. The worst was the free shuttle service, which was an old dirty car without working seatbelts in back seat. I got an Uber to come back to hotel. Much safer, cleaner and friendlier.

The whole building has an “abandoned” vibe to it. The pool was literally dirty, with dust floating in it and a strange (but pretty?) emerald hue. They had painted the inside of the pool (literally accidental blue paint on the railing) so the bottom is slippery. Breakfast is DISGUSTING. The sausage gravy tasted sour and bitter, I immediately spat it out and went over to Taco Bell. As can be seen in the photo of the (bathroom) door, the property is not kept up with. Most things look like that. And the cavernous lobby is empty and creepy. Staff gave my kid a free bottled water, so it’s hard to say anything negative about them. Lady at breakfast was polite and helpful. But the building needs to be demolished and start over. The lamps didn’t even work I had to move the bed and flip a power strip on. Despite all that I would stay here again because it’s 5 minutes from Worlds of Fun and dirt cheap.

This stay was disappointing. We had a long day and checked in late. Got a hotel with a hot tub (NO HOT TUB HERE). Woke up in the morning and to our surprise as well as other guests, there was no hot tub. We felt utterly ripped off as we couldve stayed elsewhere for what we paid. Not sure how many other codes were broken around this building but this what we saw alone from where we were at. We left way sooner than expected to get our day going instead of chilling in the hot tub that didn’t exist

Dont choose this property if you need shuttle service. You will wait a VERY long time for a vehicle that does NOT accomodate the size needs of a FAMILY on vacation. The POOL was awesome. The rooms were decent.

I had a terrible stay at this hotel. At check-in I asked about early check-in and was told no, but later saw it offered online for $30. My room smelled of smoke and mildew, the counters were dusty, beds looked used, TV was covered in smudges, no hand soap, and barely any toilet paper. Around 9:30 p.m. I heard children screaming, only to find staff’s kids running wild in the room across from mine—jumping on beds and banging on boxes until 10:30. The next morning I was woken by loud banging as staff set up breakfast. The breakfast itself was poorly done—items unlabeled, gravy in a crockpot, and staff couldn’t even get the waffle maker to work. Throughout my stay, the hotel felt chaotic and unprofessional. The hallways smelled like weed, doors were slamming, and in the lobby I had to walk past a loud argument while staff sat by. The indoor pool didn’t seem operational. Overall, this hotel was dirty, noisy, and unsafe. I would not recommend it to anyone—especially families or business travelers. If you’re looking for a rundown, hole-in-the-wall motel, this is it. Otherwise, avoid at all costs.

Floors in hotel room were disgusting. Turned feet black walking on them. USB ports were busted. Did not have coffee pot in the room. And fridge did not keep things cold. No house keeping. Had the same towels the entire stay. Hallways smelled of marijuana or bleach. Water pressure in shower was non existent and the bath spout nearly came off the wall. Continental breakfast could have been better and stayed open longer. Pool hours could have been more convenient as well. Staff could have been more helpful. Overall will not stay again.

This place is absolutely disgusting. Dont waste your money. Something chewed up my back while i was asleep. Pretty sure it was bed bugs. There is also mold under the night table by the beds. If it wasnt 2am when we arrived we definitely would not have stayed there.

As soon as we walked in the hotel we noticed it was filthy. We got on the elevator which was also dirty as ever, when it stopped it sounded like it was going to break with an awful loud sound. We had two rooms and both rooms looked nothing like the pictures. They were dirty. We checked the beds and they had stains on the sheets, it looked like pet hair on one and pee stains. When asked for a refund we were told no due to hotel policy. We stayed the night and woke up to bed bug bites all over my son and his friend. One actually ran across the bed. We were supposed to stay another night and went straight to the desk and checked out. Once again I asked for a refund and was denied one. I literally paid for two nights and two rooms and we left with no refund no hotel rooms to stay in and bed bug bites all over my kids. We was completely hotel catfished. Worst experience ever!!! DO NOT STAY HERE UNLESS YOU WANT BED BUGS AND FILTHY ROOMS. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE..

Hotel is very old and not updated. There was a dripping noise all night long that kept me awake.

The property is older and needs updating. The handle to the faucet came off when I was turning on the shower. There was a gap in between the wall and the spout. One of the towels had what looked like pizza on it. There was no coffee pot in the room. The phone in the room was unplugged like it doesn’t work. There were little holes in the curtains.

Saw bugs, air conditioner sounded like it had a leak. Toilet wouldn’t stop flushing and sink water wouldn’t drain

This hotel is on its way out. Every tile floor is slippery. The pool is nice and large but the floor surrounding it is horrendously dirty. Ceiling tile holes are filled with Kleenex and caulking serves a structural role in their plumbing. There is a broken down vehicle in the parking lot that has been abandoned so long that the tires are flat. That pretty much sums up the condition of the entire property.

The beds were very comfortable. The room itself was clean. The water pressure for shower was not good and the tub had problems draining.

Breakfast was really good. I can tell they are trying to update and do improvements. Bed was super comfy. Nice TV. Some things are pretty used and worn but still usable. The window had 1/2 inch gap so rain came in with the storm. Pretty quiet. Could smell people smoking weed and could smell someone cooking garlicky food. I did feel safe and it was pretty quiet place to stay. Lady at the desk early morning was super nice to my son and I. For the price it was a good place to stay.

Well the first thing I did when I got there was to take a shower, hot water only got Luke warm, very disappointing, then went to brush teeth &.the sink facet sprayed sideways & went everywhere, also noticed quite a few water leaks down the walls which obviously seems mold , only one tv channel which is not right, everything else was just ok but not great

Cleaning staff was excellent. Despite overall outdated look to most everything the room was clean. Air conditioning was LOUD, then when it shut off, there would be a loud banging sound that, when you’re trying to sleep, sounds like someone is banging on your door. Property was also close to interstate highway, where apparently, many motorcycles and muscle cars like to rev engines and go really fast! Unfortunately, all of that noise could be heard from my room! Front desk personnel seem disinterested. Breakfast was not good as sausages were overcooked and dried out. There was no pepper for seasoning and almost no salt. Most of the cereal was empty also and I was down there 20 minutes after breakfast was available. Elevator was painfully slow and, like the A/C, made a loud banging sound when it lurched to a stop. There was a Taco Bell and a Waffle House right outside. I’ll call that a good thing, but others may not agree. I would only recommend this place as a last resort and that’s only because I thought cleaning staff was good.

Hotel itself was always cold. Pool was heated, but located in the cold lobby area. Breakfast was basic. Had to keep our room thermostat at 80 just to be comfortable and the heat was loud when it ran. Bed are just ok, and the pillows were awful. Smaller and worse quality than a cheap throw pillow.

The staff are rude and the property was filthy dirty. When we asked for a different room, we were given a room that was worse than the first. When we wanted to cancel our second night we were told it was too late. This was before the cancellation time and we purchased the cancellation insurance. When I reached out to Expedia I was told there was nothing they could do. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! Awful experience. Zero stars out of five!

It was ok, expensive for the condition of the hotel. You can tell it used to be great but its slid downhill. It was quiet and the staff was friendly.

Hotel was dirty and they told me they needed 100 dollar deposit and that they would remove it upon check out. I checked in at 9:30 at night and was gone by 7 am and now I have to fight to get my deposit back and I literally didn’t even stay at the hotel for 12 hours.

Got me checked in 5 hours early on game day and let me check out late. Young lady at the front desk was super helpful!

The elevator quit working the first day, the carpet on the stairs was full of stains. The pool closes at 9 pm. The staff would be on their personal phones while you were checking in/out. The room had no 'Do not disturb' sign. I asked for more pillows and one of the staff gave me the creepy vibes. He was leaning over to see if anyone else was in the room. I don't even want to think about what would have happened if my husband wasnt in the room watching TV. They have a sign on the front desk saying if any item was missing from the room you would be charged for items, kind of hard to keep track of the towels in the room if each day there was a different amount of washclothes/hand/body each day

Was greeted as if I was an inconvenience to the guy wearing ear buds when I came to check in. He checked me into room 221, which the a/c sounded like a Harley Motorcycle all night. My kids and I slept horribly but they were excited to swim at 9am before had to leave at 10. After swimming for 30 minutes, the staff had to close the pool to get it pretreated with chemicals that was going to take 30 mintues. I'm confused as to why the 5 staff members at the front desk doing nothing all morning couldn't do this before 9am when the pool opens. To top it off, we got bed bugs. You couldn't pay me to stay here ever again.

Location was fine but the surrounding area was not. Hotel was old and needed so many repairs, that appeared to be attempted to be repaired but in a horrible way. Hallway smelt like weed the whole time. I am so disappointed with this hotel. All the items in the room also still said best western, which I'm assuming it was purchased by Wyndham and they couldn't even change the sheets. Do not stay here especially if you have kids or a solo traveler, I did not feel safe

Easy access to the freeway

Internet is horrible, floors were sticky, bedding felt gross. Area is not safe, I would not recommend this place to any families.

Many of the things in my room did not work I had leftovers from a previous guest still in the refrigerator. The bathroom had dirt all over the corners of the bathtub and on the floorboards. The pool is right in the middle of the hotel and the noise from the pool is extremely loud when you’re just trying to relax. It was a very dark hotel with what seemed like limited lighting. The parking lot had window glass everywhere like breakins happen frequently. Very sketchy people outside the hotel just wandering around looking very suspicious. Very limited dining available in this area as well. Overall very very disappointing and would highly recommend spending a few extra dollars and going a few more miles into the city and genuinely enjoy you time. The only thing that was nice here was the staff.

Close to worlds of fun is a plus. Offer a pretty decent breakfast but i definitely think someone should over see the kitchen not just regular employees. We liked the entrance but they definitely need to follow that them and update the place! Nice staff

It's convenient to find the location, next to gas stations and fast food places.

We have stayed at a Wingate before and the properties have been very nice. However, this property was once a Holiday Inn and needs a lot of work. Poor lighting, smells old, vents need cleaned out. Nothing like the pictures on the website. Right next to the freeway, street racers and people fighting and yelling in the parking lot kept us up all night. I’m contacting the corporate office of Wingate to tell them they need to do a site visit. I do not believe this is good for their brand. Only interacted with one staff at check-in and she was very pleasant. Would not stay here again.

When I come to town this is my favorite hotel to go to it's in a perfect location near the casinos in Worlds of Fun and anywhere else I need to go to and they're always very friendly and very welcoming here.

Cigarette butts all over the entrance. Sketchy people in and out. Pit bull off leash in lobby, requests for money and cigarettes from people around, on the property.

First they have a free shuffle to and back from Worlds of Fun and it was very prompt and the driver was very accommodating and friendly. Breakfast was over by 9am on a Sunday! We came down about 9:15am and it was put away. Crazy. NO hot tub as it is permanently filled in and the bar was closed do to remodeling but it looked good to me.

The breakfast was ok but would have liked to have seen a variety of fruit like most hotels I’ve stayed in. Just had a couple of apples.

The check-in staff were indifferent and showed no enthusiasm at all. The property and room could use a good scrub down. The " breakfast" was completely awful: the sausage links tasted like they were recycled from days ago, the tater tots were hard/ rubbery, the biscuits were like hockey pucks, no milk for cereal, dirty counters.

Did not really care for this location. The breakfast is subpar amd overall the facility is not very clean.

The property is not very clean. No one answered the front deak when we called at night 3 times. The pool was freezing and not heated. The room was ok, but not that clean and the elevator was gross. The free breakfast was large in size but not in quality. The frig that held the cream cheese was not that cold and cream cheese was soft so I tossed it. The coffee was the worst stuff I have ever had and I'm not kidding. The bed was good. If you just want a decent place to sleep for cheap its not bad. Overall, I wouldn't stay there again.

Only complaint was that they ran out of breakfast food before breakfast hours were done, and they didn’t refill. There were a handful of guests that stood around waiting for food to be brought out and there was no staff to be seen. This was prob 20 min before breakfast hour ended

Dirty floors and toilet. Just felt run down in the rooms. Shows pictures of hot tub online but no hot tub. Breakfast had 1 waffle maker that was always busy and we never got a chance to use it.
