Building is run down inside annd out. Elevator was dirty. Shower had caulking that was in poor condition and discolored. Bath fan was noisy. Bath faucet had little hot water pressure and dripped. Parking lot was dirty. Bed was alright. Room was acceptable except for shower. The cost was low but there minimal acceptable standards that this property does not meet.

This hotel is in dire need of renovation. I can accept old facilities if they are well maintained but this hotel is not. The elevator floor is covered with a torn piece of carpet - probably to hide a worse condition underneath. After one ride up, I used the stairs. The free breakfast is meager. Cold doughnut holes pulled from the fridge, dried cereal. The staff at check in was going through on-the-job-training so I had to wait. The room was OK in cleanliness but showing lots of wear and tear.

The place does not look like the pictures not even the establishment itself there's no pool that was opened it was closed they said it's under construction but there was just a tarp covering it and for the 2 nights and 3 day's we we're there no one was working on it the place itself smelled like urine when you walked in we had to keep asking for towels multiple times until someone finally brought them up now mind you I asked in the morning and we didn't get them until 9pm or so it was just so awful but we stayed because we didn't have enough money to go anywhere else this was just a small getaway for me and my husband to enjoy a weekend which clearly did not happen.

This was not a pleasant stay. I asked for a smoking room, was put in a non smoking room the 1st night. The 2nd night I was transferred to a smoking room that had no microwave, and problems around the window that were not apparent until the 3rd night when the room stated to flood from the rain. The ceiling proceeded to leak onto the bed and my ps5 (I was on the 2nd floor of a 3 story). They moved me to a 3rd room with no AC and gave me a box fan. The pool is empty, I couldn't find the fitness center or game room. The breakfast is 2 cereals and some bread (the toaster barely works) with coffee, Sunny D, milk and some donut holes.

Air conditioner did not work and had to be moved. Still took forever for that room to cool off. Would have liked to know ahead of time that location was in a truck stop parking lot Desk clerk appeared unclean and unprofessional. Won't say what I think was going on.....will never stay at one of these motels ever again.

Old, outdated. It was quiet, which was good, but very strong cigarette smoke smell when entering the lobby. We had a non- smoking room so we did not smell it in our room or on the 3rd floor. Took a long time to get checked in - just very slow service. We did not eat breakfast there, do can’t comment on that. Next door to a truck stop which was convenient.

Staff was nice. The entire place was musty. Facilities all need to be painted and freshened up. Drinking fountain in lobby did not work. Listing says there's a pool: there isn't. Listing says there's laundry on-site: it's not, although it's close (a few minutes walk).

Lady at desk was only nice part of this stay. Elevator didn't work. Non-smoking room reeked of smoke. TV was crooked and leaning back due to broken stand. Stand between beds was leaning. Bathroom door had hole in it. Toilet paper didn't have bar holder and kept falling to ground. Toilet was black at bottom. Shower water didn't stay on... it kept cycling on for few seconds then off for few seconds .. then on again.

Do not be fooled by the online photos. This place is a dump. The stench of moldy rugs and old cigarette smoke greets you at the door. The bathrooms toilets had stains beneath the seats and on the shower floor. The bedding was a horrendous winter blanket in the middle of summer. The 24hr fitness center has been closed for months. The breakfast was corn flake cereal with a shared gallon of milk for guests.

This location is extremely dirty and may make you want to cancel your reservation if you have the time. I was initially given an unclean room that hadn’t been serviced after the previous guest left, though I was later provided a different room. The new room also smelled bad, regardless of whether it was a smoking or non-smoking room. There are no proper amenities. Don’t be misled by the ratings and images on the website—this is one more hotel off my list.

The worst place I have ever been. I was there for the brimfield antique show and I would have been better off sleeping outside. Place smelt horrible, there was mold, holes in walls, broken furniture, dirty and stained bedding. I had to go to the truck stop next door to get odor spray. I used 2 cans. I have no idea how this place passes any heath inspections. Walls in the room were also sticky and carpet was damp and very stained. No one should stay here. No hotel site should even list this place.

When we entered it was very dirty and had this terrible heavy smell. The elevator had a rug that was filthy and looked like it hasn’t been vacuumed in months. It was matted and the smell got worse. We got to the room and the whole thing was filthy the bathroom had hair everywhere and the beds after pulling back the comforter had dirt crumbs and hair. I’ve stayed in a lot of cheaper motels but this was unacceptable! Even though we were extremely tired, we left immediately and booked another one.

Most people tend to leave reviews if they've had an outstanding time or an unimaginably horrible time. Unfortunately this is for the latter. We walked in seeing the no smoking sign and as soon as the door opens, we smell cigarette odors and weed. I understand that this not a fancy hotel so I was willing to overlook that. The horror truly begins when I entered the room. Give the fact that Halloween is around the corner, it seems like the rooms is quite fitting for such a holiday. It looked like one of the rooms that a hit man would rent to dispose of a body or harvest an organ. The bed was stained with who know what kind of stains. The bathroom door lock was missing, the window was cracked and I'm sure that was blood stain that was on the wall. It is an excellent place to stay if you were looking for the organ trafficking themed room. Moving on to the free breakfast. I am not a picky eater but what they offered was more of a joke than anything. It looks like the food was whatever snacks they had left over from their movie night. They had Sunny Delight as "orange juice" and what appears to be left over donut holes that they didn't finish from the night(or days) before. Free breakfast from the listing means free food to look at.(Not sure anyone is brave enough to actually eat the offerings) Overall I am surprised that Hotels.com is still listing the place despite all the horrible reviews. I think you will be better suited looking for an airbnb or go camping instead.

The pictures look deceiving and they make the place seem cleanly and it is the farthest thing from the stench you encounter when you walk in is horrid and it follows you even worse into the elevator and the room has a different smell of stale cigarettes and mildew both of the towels provided were dirty and stained the toilet was clearly not clean at all and the bed sheets had stains all over them there were people sleeping in the common area with no socks or shoes on the “free breakfast” was a few pieces of sliced bread a toaster and a jar of community jelly aswell as some store brand donut holes that looked weeks old and nevermind the staff looked like they just checked out of the Suboxone clinic .DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU VALUE YOUR HEALTH AND SAFETY.

The toilet seats have never been lifted when cleaned as the toilet is covered in poop with bugs crawling around. no screens in the windows, beds look like they have never been clean as there is many different kinds of stains on mattresses and sheets. even stains on the floors, Place is covered in mold as well. Place is not a place anyone should stay in.

It smelled like smoke in the lobby and on every floor including the non smoking floors. The entire place is run down and literally being held together by duct tape. The bathroom was moldy and dirty. I was concerned with using the towels and sleeping in the bed. The bed also had comforters that could’ve been from the 70s and had holes in the them.

Check-in was ok. Room was ok (aside from holes in wall where artwork was and wallpaper detaching from wall). Bathroom was nasty and definitely could use a remodel. Didn’t trust the shower, the curtain looked nasty with a big hole on the bottom. Oh’ best of all was being woken at 11ish by someone trying to open the door and upon investigation (I believe it was the repairman trying to fix the lock). I opened the door and he asked how we got in there. I said we paid for the night…… needless to say, didn’t sleep well after that. Will not be not returning.

The carpet tack strip between the room and bathroom was exposed and I cut my toe on it. The A/C didn't work. The wall paper was falling off the wall and had black mold on it.

The room smelled so strong of cat pee. The TV wouldn't work. The heat didn't work. I didn't even bother trying to get help cuz nobody stays at the front desk. You have to ring a buzzer and when they feel like it they come. We found sunglasses and other stuff that we didn't bring in the room. I asked for a king bed and got 2 doubles instead. It was disgusting.

This was not a pleasant stay. I asked for a smoking room, was put in a non smoking room the 1st night. The 2nd night I was transferred to a smoking room that had no microwave, and problems around the window that were not apparent until the 3rd night when the room stated to flood from the rain. The ceiling proceeded to leak onto the bed and my ps5 (I was on the 2nd floor of a 3 story). They moved me to a 3rd room with no AC and gave me a box fan. The pool is empty, I couldn't find the fitness center or game room. The breakfast is 2 cereals and some bread (the toaster barely works) with coffee, Sunny D, milk and some donut holes.

Room was clean but very outdated as is the entire facility. The air conditioner in the room was broken and it was brutally hot in there. The staff offered me another room but I refused. I decided to leave due to the condition of the place. I asked for some compensation but got none. I would never recommend this place.

Unfortunately this was a very poor experience, although the man checked us in was very polite. There was a strong "cooking" odor, even before entering the building. It was very strong in the lobby...not necessarily a bad smell, but very, very strong. The carpets on the first floor were in dire need of cleaning (beyond just needing a good vacuuming). In the first room we were given (double beds), the bedspread of one bed had holes in it, the sheets were stained, and there was hair in the bed. People in the room above our heads were walking heavily (this was after 10pm). We were given a different room on the third floor. There, the key wouldn't work. After we tried multiple times, the clerk came up to try...only to discover that the room was occupied. We chose NOT to stay. The clerk was very apologetic and refunded our stay with no difficulty. But after a long drive, long day and knowing the next day would also be long, all we wanted was a good night's sleep...not to have to continue to drive/look for a place (or possibly have to sleep in the truck)!

According to staff the hotel "overbooks". Was concerned I was even going to get a room as I watched two staff members be hostile to a customer. Elevator had a rug thrown on top of original carpet and not even neatly laid out. Whole place is very worn and did not have a clean feeling about it. The chain for securing door in room was gone.

BEWARE - UNSAFE AND UNSANITARY The worst conditions I’ve ever experienced. Beds unmade, broken furniture, holes in walls and doors, filthy carpet, tiles missing from bathroom floor. Worst of all, the chain lock on door was broken, so we barricaded door with 2 chairs for safety. Thank goodness because at 9 pm, a staff member opened the door without even knocking and was blocked by the barricade. Needless to say it was a sleepless night. At 5 am, management opened our door, again without knocking and again being blocked by the barricade. He yelled through the door that we were not in his system and he needed to come in to resolve the matter. We told him to go away or we would call the police. We left shortly afterwards. I reported the situation to both Choice Hotels and Expedia, but management at this Rodeway Inn refused to give us a refund.

When entering my room there were loads of laundry and towels on one of the beds (the woman says she left them there so she doesn’t have to walk far to the closet I guess?). Phone didn’t work, no wifi, and bathroom light barely worked.

I told the front desk I would be back at noon to pay I tried to pay for another night before I left I had to wait for the system to load it never did I said I’d be back at noon I came at 1140 I was told I was trespassing and the police would be called I’m obviously didn’t trespass that’s why my key still worked to get my things. People coming and going up until 2am in the morning. Overall property needs tefurbishment. Carpets in hallway were stained. Entire building smelled like cigarette smoke. Bathroom Shower was stained/dirty. The only updide was price and proximity to UConn.

Did not stay-slept at a rest stop in the car instead and am trying to get a refund. Filthy, stinks like smoke, everything is gross and broken. Unsafe area- weird men wandering around, truck stop next door. Staff are rude, surly, threatening and completely unprofessional- especially one guy- he needs to be fired immediately. As a woman I felt threatened and unsafe. This place should not be on Hotels.com and as a result I don't think I can use this site again. Really bad place- I am surprised the Health Dept does not shut it down.

If you don't want to sleep in your car at a rest area and prefer a bed, then this is a good option. Otherwise the entire building smelled like cigarettes, the carpets were dingy and dirty, there was no one at the counter to check out and I had to call to make sure it was just ok to drop the key. It took forever for the shower to heat up. The free breakfast was ziplocked bags of cornflakes, bread, and donut holes.

At the desk told me "there are a few rooms witbout AC so if i give you one of those just come back down amd ill switch it." Kids running up and down the halls yelling and playing. Multiple people approaching me in the hotel parking lot asking for money. A completely unmanaged property. I left early as I couldnt aleep with all the racket. I was alone. It was a sketchy experience to say the least and had an unsafe vibe at night.

The lobby wasn't very inviting; ceiling panel missing due to obvious water issue & wires hanging down from the opening. My room was spacious and good lighting. The A/C and TV worked well. The bathroom was a different story. The shower should but gutted. I needed to lay a towel on the shower floor and the shower head needs replacing badly. Bed protective cover has see better days. The mattress was comfortable. This isn't the worst place I've stayed. If giving updates, the location is good, easy access to Interstate 84 along with gas station and food option.

Staff was nice. The entire place was musty. Facilities all need to be painted and freshened up. Drinking fountain in lobby did not work. Listing says there's a pool: there isn't. Listing says there's laundry on-site: it's not, although it's close (a few minutes walk).

The sheets were suspiciously unclean and stained, the floor wasn’t swept. The hall was hot but our room airconditioner worked well. The place was pretty beat up. The shopping mall was a truck stop. There was a gas station right there, which was convienent. There was a toilet next a truck in the parking lot. And a burned out camper chocked in the parking lot. We were given directions to our room by what might have been a homeless guy, who was nice, and slept on the couch next to the elevator. Never felt unsafe. Breakfast actually made us laugh. Bread and a toaster, no butter just jam, a few donut holes and a fridge with a half a gallon of milk. Never looked at the pool. I don’t mind a place that is worn but clean. They were cheap rooms and I get that, but if i were Rodeway, I’d deal with this place.

As an emergency stay when my car broke down, the hotel was just fine. Clean room, hot water, soft bed. The property is in dire need of refurbishment, however. The breakfast was truly horrible (stale donuts, toast and cereal). Wonderful staff, and I got a good night's sleep. Owners, maybe put a little more into the place.

Most people tend to leave reviews if they've had an outstanding time or an unimaginably horrible time. Unfortunately this is for the latter. We walked in seeing the no smoking sign and as soon as the door opens, we smell cigarette odors and weed. I understand that this not a fancy hotel so I was willing to overlook that. The horror truly begins when I entered the room. Give the fact that Halloween is around the corner, it seems like the rooms is quite fitting for such a holiday. It looked like one of the rooms that a hit man would rent to dispose of a body or harvest an organ. The bed was stained with who know what kind of stains. The bathroom door lock was missing, the window was cracked and I'm sure that was blood stain that was on the wall. It is an excellent place to stay if you were looking for the organ trafficking themed room. Moving on to the free breakfast. I am not a picky eater but what they offered was more of a joke than anything. It looks like the food was whatever snacks they had left over from their movie night. They had Sunny Delight as "orange juice" and what appears to be left over donut holes that they didn't finish from the night(or days) before. Free breakfast from the listing means free food to look at.(Not sure anyone is brave enough to actually eat the offerings) Overall I am surprised that Hotels.com is still listing the place despite all the horrible reviews. I think you will be better suited looking for an airbnb or go camping instead.

If you don't want to sleep in your car at a rest area and prefer a bed, then this is a good option. Otherwise the entire building smelled like cigarettes, the carpets were dingy and dirty, there was no one at the counter to check out and I had to call to make sure it was just ok to drop the key. It took forever for the shower to heat up. The free breakfast was ziplocked bags of cornflakes, bread, and donut holes.

The pictures look deceiving and they make the place seem cleanly and it is the farthest thing from the stench you encounter when you walk in is horrid and it follows you even worse into the elevator and the room has a different smell of stale cigarettes and mildew both of the towels provided were dirty and stained the toilet was clearly not clean at all and the bed sheets had stains all over them there were people sleeping in the common area with no socks or shoes on the “free breakfast” was a few pieces of sliced bread a toaster and a jar of community jelly aswell as some store brand donut holes that looked weeks old and nevermind the staff looked like they just checked out of the Suboxone clinic .DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU VALUE YOUR HEALTH AND SAFETY.

Do not be fooled by the online photos. This place is a dump. The stench of moldy rugs and old cigarette smoke greets you at the door. The bathrooms toilets had stains beneath the seats and on the shower floor. The bedding was a horrendous winter blanket in the middle of summer. The 24hr fitness center has been closed for months. The breakfast was corn flake cereal with a shared gallon of milk for guests.

When I got to the hotel, no one was at check in and there were multiple people there and I had to telephone the hotel to have a staff member come out. I had an accessible room that when I went to the room the light in the bathroom didn’t work, and apparently there were no lightbulbs for them to replace it with. There was no deadbolt on the door, the chain had been removed. Housekeeping neglected to leave any towels and left the previous occupants shampoo there (it was half used ) When I went to the front desk to request towels, soap and shampoo, I was told they had no soap. Every time I went down with an issue, the staff member seemed annoyed. The only staff I saw in the hotel. The whole time was a very young lady. I was also told the breakfast was 6 to 11 and then when I went down for breakfast, it’s there was a sign that said 6 to 10. And the key card kept deactivating which was very inconvenient at 3am (again they did not answer the buzzer and I had to call the hotel). They claimed it was because I was keeping the key next to my phone, which was actually not the case. 100% would not recommend.

The whole place reeks of cigarette smoke. Our first room didn't have a working toilet, much less a working air conditioner. The bathrooms are gross. The linens were questionable. If you are desperate for a place to crash or have a nostalgia for 70's style murder motels, then this is the place for you.
