I booked this stay because they adveed a pool. Was told pool was closed for season, even though cover hadn't been off for taken off in quite some time due to amt of dirt and debris on the cover. Was speaking to an employee about the closed pool and he said it was closed because they needed $30K to fix it so it would pass inspection. Either way there was no pool. If any level of mgmt reads this, they need to end the false advertisement of offering a pool thats USABLE!

Pool was closed which is does not say on any other 3rd party site but apparently (didn’t check) days on their main site. Once we arrived and found this out I asked the front desk what to do with. Toddler and pre team and was told umm I’m not sure I’ve lived here my whole life so I’m not sure what you would want to do. Asked where the closest beach was or if they had spray park and nothing. Went to the desk on the way out to let them know (nicely) there was black specks (mold) in the ice machine and they should stop using it and clean it and still saw multiple families filling up their cups and coolers where I then told them hey I would eat/drink that. The fan in the room we stayed at didn’t not work was not attached the the ceiling (showed the desk pictures) and was met with oh yea. Place that you can sleep at but if you have little would not advise. Also smoke rooms so the whole hallways smell like smoke. Honestly wouldn’t go back

Hotel was a little beat up… The only reason we stayed is because they advertise having a pool and it looked like the pool hasn’t been opened in years… Needless to say my kids were super disappointed, considering there were several other hotels nearby that we could’ve gotten that actually had a working pool…

The hotel itself was below average in up keep of the rooms, no fire alarms, wall coming apart at the seams and in the bathroom. Pool was not available for use as it was not kept up..it was the main reason we booked here. Noisy, you can here the other people in the room above you.. walking and talking loud at 2 am..

It was nice for an over night stay. Specifically booked there because of the pool but the pool was closed (cover still on) and had no prior knowledge we couldn’t use the pool. Also forgot tooth paste and the front desk was out.

Everything ( except for Sara at the front desk ) was HORRIBLE about this hotel. We check in and go to our room. There is a HUGE red stain on the carpet. I’m going to assume it’s koolaid. I ignore that and proceed to the bed. We’re only Staying one night came in late & leaving early. I went to climb in bed and pulled the covers to my chest to see BED BUGS! I get up right away and start searching the entire bed I found some dead ones along the side of the bed, as well as the other bed! Live ones as well. They had about 3 sheets and 3 or 4 mattress covers on. That should have told me something. I went down to the lobby right away and Sarah told me she can’t Move me out of the hotel or offer a refund. But she did move us to an updated part of the hotel which was a lot cleaner and didn’t have bugs. Just don’t waste your money here. It won’t be long till the bugs take over all the rooms. We got lucky that the new room didn’t have any!

I was not pleased with my recent stay at Days Inn & Suites Seaford 23450 Sussex HWY Seaford, DE 19973. Room # 229 had a roach crawling around on the wall. and the floor. I called down to the desk clerk about the situation. Another room and bug spray was offered? How unprofessional! Not any guest job to control insects in your facility. I will not stay at this establishment again. I was not offer any compensation, all I got was an apology. The hallway floor were dirty and full of trash and dirty diapers. Enclosed photo of pest discovery. I am requesting full refund of my stay. Respectfully,

I will definitely read reciews before booking another hotel. This hotel was horrible. The website said they had an outdoor pool. We get there, pool is covered. This was one of the reasons we booked this place. My son was playing in a sports tournament and we didnt have much down time but when we did, we wanted to relax by the pool. We checked around and due to the sports tournament all other hotels were booked. Si, we stayed. Get on the elevator and theres a used latex glove on the floor, the keys to our room didnt work, and the hallway reeked of marijuana. The hallway floor looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in weeks. Now our room smelled clean when we went in and looked good. We were ok with it. The last day, as we were packing up to checkout, a roach crawls across the floor. At that point, i was happy we were getting the hell out of there.

The hotel was not well kept or clean. The bathroom door lock was broke, hair in the blow dryer, sink stopper was stuck down, the water was sculding hot. The other guests were smoking in the breeze way and there were cigarette butts left on the floor. The beds were hard and sheets were very low quality. The coffee maker was in the bathroom 🤔. They charged us $100 for inessentials (which I should get back) when everything was broken to start with. We will not stay again.

I didn’t like the fact that the bed made a lot of noise and mattress moved when sitting on the bed! The furniture was dusty! The pillow cases didn’t look so clean! I had to clean the microwave and fridge before using it! The fridge needed to be defrosted it was frozen! Outside the property was dirty! The parking lot should’ve been cleaned! There was trash in the parking area! Even though the room was non smoking it smelled like smoke! I was very disappointed!

The initial room - had water leak / bathroom floor all wet. The second room had a LOUD HVAC Unit when running. This room also had water leak whenever water got around the faucet base . Problem: base of faucet needs to be sealed. None of the issues would prevent me from staying there again - I realize "things happen". Will thoroughly check things out immediately upon next stay.

The Room was clean and it appeared as though it was recently renovated. They placed us in a handicap which included a teak bench in the shower that was a nuisance. We really didnt need it. The sink was very low. The guests above us were very noisy. We heard stomping and banging all night long. Next visit to DE will be at a different location.

There is no carpeting in any of the rooms so if you are on the first floor all you hear all night is the upstairs people walking around all night.

The place has seen better days. I wish I'd stayed at the comfort inn nearby. Everything looked run down. Hair dryer didn't work. Beds were lumpy. TV remote missing battery cover. It was more the little things. The staff was great. You can also hear through the walls into the other rooms; like phone conversations and the kid galloping next door or the couple down the hall having their personal time.

Extremely noisy property! Called front desk and complained. Noise started back on around 1am and kept going into early morning hours. We checked out at 6 that’s how awful our stay was.

Decent room with a comfy bed but, the comfo/sheet was too thin. The shower head was terrible, even for a hotel. I was on the second floor, just above the entrance so i heard the front doors open every time someone came in or out. This was the second room i was put in since the ac was not working in the first room. If i could have, i would have went to another hotel.

Terrible. Terrible experience, Terrible Property Manager(Sarah), that takes zero ownership. Pay for a room only to show up and be told that room is not available. Passes the blame on everyone else instead of taking ownership of the issue. Will not allow refund to be processed when they didn’t even have the room that we paid for. So now we are out the money for that reservation plus have to pay for another nights stay at a different hotel. Beware of Sarah… she’s a real gem with impeccable Customer Service skills! I’d like to say that you get what you pay for staying in a subpar hotel… but in this case we didn’t even get that. Hope your experience is better.

Not a bad stay. I was impressed. Took the wife down to Rehoboth and Dewey beaches for July 4 th weekend. The prices around were ridiculous. The price was only a quarter of their prices! Yeah it was a 45 minute drive to the beach but it was a peaceful and scenic drive. Traffic was at a minimum. Unfortunately though, there was no soap in the bathroom or room. The breakfast was pretty decent on Sunday with sausage eggs and waffles. But the next day it was just waffles. Wasn’t the best selection but it did its job. Walmart fast restaurants and gas stations with food all within 2mins walking distance. Rachel who checked us in was awesome. The staff was friendly. Although you may have a language barrier with the cleaning crew but they were working hard and did a great job.

Was never notified prior to arrival via text or email that the pool would not be available for the summer season due to being under maintenance... we then went into our rooms 204,206 and neither room had tissues. I called down to the front desk and was told that there were no tissues to give out.. then the front desk clerk was very rude and obnoxious... talked down to me and my family... I will never make arrangements to stay at this property ever again... we then went down the line into Millsboro and were greeted by a very friendly staff . They bent over backwards to help us and very professional.we were able to get 2 rooms with King size beds.. and cheaper then at the Days Inn. Very clean also... . I hope and pray that something is done about these comments especially keeping communication open between corporate and customers.. And to make a point that Sara is taken care of!!!!

Amazing 4 day stay here. Front desk staff were friendly and very helpful if we needed anything. Hats off to the overnight lady on the 28th when in the middle of the night my wife's sugar dropped to dangerous levels and the front desk lady opened the breakfast area so my daughter could get orange juice for my wife

Upon checking in with my 10 year old son, another family was already in my room! The person at the front desk admitted to checking in another family who had the same initials into my room! I had asked for a smoke free handicap accessible room. My son has terrible asthma and can not tolerate smoke. My room was never cleaned instead they told me that they changed the keys and I can go in. I asked for another room but the rooms were all booked. That evening the smoke filled hallway and smell in the room was unbearable. Causing my son to cough and vomit. I left with my son in the morning and stayed with friends.

Staff were all accommading and helpful. From check in to check out, everyone we interacted with especially Sarah, Rachel and Rina. We did have a plumbing issue with our room and we were accomadated by a room change as the plumber was not available. The breakfast was above and beyond our expectations. We will definitely be back

It was located about 30 mins from Salisbury which wasn’t too bad. It had a mini fitness center, and a nice little continental breakfast too. Good for my shirt trip!

when I got there the first night; looking around I was concerned...but with a nice check-in at the front desk, a good impression of my clean room, great housekeeping, and nice continental breakfast area, a convenient location and nice acknowledges by the staff, coming and going... a very nice weekend!

Not a bad stay. I was impressed. Took the wife down to Rehoboth and Dewey beaches for July 4 th weekend. The prices around were ridiculous. The price was only a quarter of their prices! Yeah it was a 45 minute drive to the beach but it was a peaceful and scenic drive. Traffic was at a minimum. Unfortunately though, there was no soap in the bathroom or room. The breakfast was pretty decent on Sunday with sausage eggs and waffles. But the next day it was just waffles. Wasn’t the best selection but it did its job. Although you may have a language barrier with the cleaning crew but they were working hard and did a great job.

The location was handy for my purposes and there were plenty of dining options. The hotel was okay. I'd say barely up to standards. My room was clean, and the bathroom was roomy. However, the carpet failed the sock test - soiled my socks when walking on it. Room was rather noisy as it was next to the elevator and above some equipment room.

My family stayed here for our beach weekend because this was the cheapest we could find, even though it was a far distance to drive. The room we booked was better than we anticipated - it had two queen beds and was more spacious than expected. The free breakfast was just OK- it was enough for us and I appreciated that there was a Belgian waffle maker, but compared to the free breakfast at a Drury Inn for instance, this was disappointing. I would say the worst part of the stay was that the hallway and outside of the property smelled like weed. Overall, the hotel suited our needs and we may stay here again if we wanted to save money.

Typical low budget hotel. Hallway and common areas had a heavy smell of cigarette smoke. Toilet seat was broken inside the room. Breakfast offerings were good and adequate and a large reaspn why we chose to stay here to begin with.

The swimming pool is not open!! We were very disappointed as it is listed in the amenties. The breakfast offered was good. The staff was excellent. The hotel is in the process of being upgraded. Painting of the hallways was occurring while we were there. Lots of restaurants nearby.

The room was clean and quiet. The coffee in the dining is the best hotel coffee I've ever had in a hotel. Im really picky about my coffee and it exceeded my expectations.

The staff was friendly and helpful. One small, dead cockroach found, and toilet seat was askew but useable. Overall very clean.Would like to have seen fresh fruits and yogurts at breakfast but, otherwise, varied and acceptable.

First, I do understand boundaries. And I am not unreasonable. I had a charming conversation when I checked in late at night with the hotel staff. She told me there was no more parking, and I had to park across the street. Not very far. We had a nice chat and I said that was perfectly fine. I was not that fussy. In the morning, I went for the breakfast and it was already closed, at 9:00 on a SATURDAY. Ok, My bad. I didn’t look it up. I am not expecting them to make me eggs after closing. But I asked if there was anything at all left, and told “everything was thrown out.” This was about 9:02. No packaged muffins or fruit left in the back room for the next day? Hard to believe. I am not talking 9:15. This was 9:02. Surely the (same)staff member had some discretion to get me an apple or banana. It was not an unreasonable ask. I am a sweet, little old lady. Not a demanding jerk. They had the ability to be a day-maker and was a day-spoiler over a $1 apple. Later that day, at a restaurant I asked if there was a senior-sized dessert option. The staff made me one and didn’t even charge me for it. I mean, I can afford a full dessert, but I can’t finish it and was traveling. THAT company understood customer service. I paid an extra $24 for a “free breakfast” when choosing this hotel over the competitor. They could have thrown me an apple.
