Older hotel that shows its age in some places. The pool and hot tub have a ton of rocks and gravel built up. The surrounding floor is made of a rubber like material that is non slip which is fantastic.

Breakfast looks OK.. the Jacuzzi room(s) aren't great. Whole room was really damp -- Door wasn't even closed upon our arrival & the fan was running on high so maybe it was left wet or something. Overall, it wasn't clean.. had to wipe down our own fridge.. counter/desktops.. You get what you pay for in the end -- It's prob worth it to spend 10-20 more to be elsewhere bc i cant see it getting better here. Especially as I booked their most expensive 'top-end' suite on this stay~

Did not get the room we paid for. They kept saying the reservation was changed and it was not. Bed was worn out. Hot tub was not very hot. Breakfast was very limited.

The good: Comfortable bed, clean room with good water pressure and temp. The not so good: 30 minute wait to check in without acknowledgement while the single desk person was joking and flirting with one customer needing a reservation; both keys did not work on Day 2 resulting in having to carry everything back down the stairs (no elevator) to get a new key; and despite two conversations at the desk and the promise of leaving notes for the staff on the next day, a ‘mistake’ was made with my back-to-back reservations resulting in someone else being checked in and given access to my unserviced room and belongings while I wasn’t there. I only found out while chatting with the people given access who asked if ### was my room. I was never contacted by the manager about these issues as requested.

After staying in a different AmericInn the night before. This one was a little bit of a let down. The hotel was okay, felt dingy. Hotel staff very nice and helpful and the main lobby looked nice. Rooms were ok and i really heave no complaints, it just felt dingy. We booked the night before our stay and got a room we wanted, easy acess and easy to find. Plenty of restaurants around so that was nice

If you are looking for a hotel in the Thief River Falls area, Look no further this is the place to stay! The rooms are very spacious very clean and you have a wide selection of TV channels to watch when you are in your amazing hotel room. The staff is very helpful and friendly. I would like to acknowledge Colleen, She works up at the front desk area. I had to change my flight while I was visiting Minnesota for a personal emergency in California. I didn’t have to change my hotel reservations, but I had to change my flight and not visit other family members in Minnesota while I was doing that I had a hard time printing on the hotel computer and Colleen was very helpful. She could see by the look on my face and the tears on my eyes that something was going on, so I decided to share with her about My Husband being ill and having to go to the emergency room and that I was going to be flying back sooner and not going onto my other destinations. Colleen just listened so intently. It was like having a true friend there that I could share my heavy burden with and I Just so appreciate that. When you are more than 2000 miles from home, it was like having a good friend at the hotel that I could share my burden with and she listened and even when I was leaving, she told me that she would keep me in her thoughts and prayers you don’t find that every day! The other staff was just as friendly too, and Stacey who clean my room. Every day was a very sweet gal too. Honestly, I will always stay

The desk clerk went out of her way to try and move us to a room with a recliner, but bevause we booked thigh Expedia, she couldn't move us.

After staying in a different AmericInn the night before. This one was a little bit of a let down. The hotel was okay, felt dingy. Hotel staff very nice and helpful and the main lobby looked nice. Rooms were ok and i really heave no complaints, it just felt dingy. We booked the night before our stay and got a room we wanted, easy acess and easy to find. Plenty of restaurants around so that was nice

Was a lovely stay, the staff were kind, the room was clean and breakfast was delicious. We didn’t have time to use the pool but we will definitely stay here again.

The good: Comfortable bed, clean room with good water pressure and temp. The not so good: 30 minute wait to check in without acknowledgement while the single desk person was joking and flirting with one customer needing a reservation; both keys did not work on Day 2 resulting in having to carry everything back down the stairs (no elevator) to get a new key; and despite two conversations at the desk and the promise of leaving notes for the staff on the next day, a ‘mistake’ was made with my back-to-back reservations resulting in someone else being checked in and given access to my unserviced room and belongings while I wasn’t there. I only found out while chatting with the people given access who asked if ### was my room. I was never contacted by the manager about these issues as requested.

Arrived late and check in was a breeze. Breakfast next morning far exceeded expectations. On our way with no problem. Attendant at breakfast was a lovely person. Shared much about area and made breakfast very pleasant

The staff person was super nice and extremely accommodating. Easy to check in and out. The breakfast/hot breakfast was terrific! One thing--the decor was really weird. It\'s a beautiful cabin-like atmosphere with a stone fireplace, but the "living room" has these weird art deco pictures of former presidents like Washington. Like they\'re bright colors, have blocks of colors over their faces and bodies. It\'s weird. There should be pictures of fishermen and women, Indigenous people, forests, lakes, etc.

Did not get the room we paid for. They kept saying the reservation was changed and it was not. Bed was worn out. Hot tub was not very hot. Breakfast was very limited.

Inside pool smaller than the picture but definitely adequate. We have 4 small children on this trip and they had a blast. Pool table poolside. Staff was friendly and amazing. Most definitely will stay here again.

At check in the staff advised the pool and hot tub were unable to be used because they failed to get the necessary chemicals in time. Yet I paid $186 for each of the 2 rooms I booked. I chose the hotel over others since it has a pool and a hot tub. Had I known the hotel was so inept that they couldn’t simply obtain and add the necessary chemicals to make the pool and hot tub accessible, I would have never booked this hotel. No discount offered, overpriced already for a shoddy motel. I found it odd that at check in there were forms to try charge you extra if you smoke in the room. People do that? As we entered the rooms it already smelled like smoke (now it makes sense), windows were so dirty and stained you couldn’t even see out of them. Will never stay here again.

Hotel was fine and staff were helpful. The place could really use an elevator for second floor access. Also, the AC fan was quite loud. Breakfast was good and, overall, the place was clean!!
