The owner/office man was super rude. When I explained that my aunt could not do stairs and if he could accommodate a bottom floor. His comment to me was, “It didn’t list that in your reservations. She can just come through the lobby.” I commented back to him that there were several stairs to the lobby. Still not helpful. I have booked 100s of rooms in my life and NEVER have I had to list can’t do stairs because everywhere that I am aware of…ummm…since handicap stuff went into law…have had an elevator or been accommodating. Also TV didn’t work…had to call them to fix that. Drapes went over the AC unit so the air wouldn’t go into the room. So I had to jimmy-rig it so have the room start to cool. Will never stay there and never will recommend.

The beds in the first room we were given were incredibly worn and saggy. It was late so we just made do. In the morning we requested a different room and they were happy to help.

You will never feel lonely because the ants in the bathroom will keep you company. The air conditioner moaned for a few seconds every once in a while just when you are trying to fall asleep and woke me up. There were no grab bars in the tub/shower, so it felt dangerous. There were very few parking spaces directly in front of the rooms. Much of the parking lot was higher than the rooms, so there was no direct way down to the rooms.

ROACHES! COCKROACHES! Yes, that’s right, there were roaches in the room! We killed 5 of them before we couldn’t take it anymore and we left. I went to the front desk to tell them, and he said that we could switch to a different room, but when he asked if there were roaches, he said “I don’t think so.” So we left. I reached out to hotels.com and they said that since we had checked in they couldn’t give us a refund, but I could send a message to the hotel. (hotels.com gave me a $25 credit as well) The hotel called me the next day and said, with all of the couldn’t give me a refund because we booked it through a 3rd party site. So I’m out some money, but at least I didn’t have to sleep with roaches. The roaches aren’t the only reason not to stay here. The place was disgusting. I almost felt bad for the roaches. There was hair on the pillow and in the tub, the sheets didn’t look like they’d been cleaned, and everything just looked grubby. And that’s what we saw in the 10 minutes that we were there. Who knows what we would have found if we would have stayed the night. If there was a zero star option, that’s actually what this place deserves. It’s an embarrassment to other 1-star places.
