La Quinta by Wyndham Fort Worth North

My lobby area was nice but the elevators were very old and outdated. My room was nice and spacious. The only complaint I have about the room itself was my refrigerator didn’t work.

Check-in was easy and a breeze. However, the issues started once we made it to our room. We booked a King room through Hotels.com but when entering into our room I noticed it was a double room. I immediately went back downstairs and inquired (and showed my booking confirmation of a King) to the rep at the front, Liza/Liz?, and she advised that she saw that a change was made on the backend and my room was auto-changed by someone on Hotels.com end. When I expressed that I certainly didn't make the change and asked her if we could move to a King room, she advised that they were completely booked and had no other rooms available. I understood and went back upstairs and just accepted the fact that my husband and I would be sleeping on separate beds for the night... until... After trying to flush the toilet one time, it began to nearly overflow so we called the front desk asking for someone to come look at it. Not even 3 minutes after the call, they were magically able to just move us RIGHT NEXT DOOR into a King room.

Staff was superior. Breakfast was very good. My only complaint was the A/C unit was not able to cool the room.

The hotel was clean, the staff very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great. I really recommend it.

The staff wasn’t necessarily unfriendly, just kind of unhelpful and hard to locate. The property, though, was absolutely unsuitable. The elevator gave good reason to be scared that you might die in there. Genuinely scary enough to take the stairs. The room itself wasn’t so bad on first look, but then you see the holes in the curtains and hear the mice in the walls and you just might gag. A million dollars couldn’t make me stay there again. I wish my experience was different, but genuinely the mice were incessant and nobody seemed phased about it except me. Staff was indifferent and seemed as if they knew it was a problem.
