Everything seemed to be fine until we came back to our room from dinner and discovered there was no hot water in the building and would not be any until sometime the following day. We were not informed of the problem until we asked about it, even though we spoke to the desk clerk on the way in. The hotel refused to compensate us in anyway because we booked through hotels.com I contacted customer service at hotels.com and explained the hot water situation, and wanted payment stopped. I was told the itinerary had not been processed through the system yet and there was nothing they could do. The following day I received an email saying hotels.com contacted the hotel and my booking reservation was processed. Apparently, the issue of no hot water was never discussed. I am extremely disappointed in the management at this hotel and with the inability of hotels.com to resolve issues such as this. It seems that using hotels.com removes your rights as a customer.

This hotel was ok, bed was comfortable and shower was good. But breakfast wasn’t sub par. 1 out of 5 stars, sausage was bland. Kids were looking forward to swimming after hot days in soccer tournament only to be told pool was closed. If this information would have been available online or before checkin we definitely would have stayed somewhere else. Very disappointed

The lady at the front desk was really nice and helpful! The room was not the same as the one in the picture. The hot tub did not work. The bathroom wasn’t very nice. Had issues with the tv.

We had a comfortable stay at the La Quinta. The AC was a little off, which is why I set some ratings at a 4 instead of a 5. I believe, however, that the hotel was in the process of fixing an AC issue, since we saw AC equipment in boxes in the lobby and there were several fans set up in common areas.

We came in for a Spartan race weekend-they got breakfast out early for racers- so nice! They have guest laundry which was a game changer for after the race. Warm cookies when we arriver. Restaurants and stores close by, too. Will definitely stay again if ever back in that area.

The staff is nice. It is conveniently located within the city. It is a nice hotel but could be great with a little maintenance and a few services. For example:Though it was understood that the sheets would not be changed daily unless requested, not having the room vacuumed, swept, the bed made or bathroom cleaned was a bit disappointing. It’s apart of the appeal of staying in a hotel and typically expected for rooms over $100 per night. There were several lightbulbs out, loose bathroom fixtures hat need to be tended to and the guest laundry equipment needs to be replaced. Our room was near the elevator and so it was noisy all night into the day. Overall would I stay again? Yes but I’d be sure to ask for a ro om at the end of the hallway.

The hotel needs some updates. The A/C in the second floor hallway was broken so the hallway was stuffy. The room carpet was filthy with some sticky areas. The breakfast offerings were very limited with waffles being the best item on the menu. The light fixtures in the lobby were full of dead insects. More cleaning and attention to detail is needed. On the positive site: the beds were comfortable, the staff were pleasant and the chocolate chip cookies offered in the evening were delicious. During our short trip we stayed at two separate La Quinta hotels. The difference between the two was stark. This hotel needs a little TLC.

I did not like that the pool and spa tub were "Closed for the Season" although there was no mention of this amenity not being available when I made the reservation. Additionally, we needed to request a room change because our initial room had a worn tub that had two cracks in it that would cut my skin if I was to sit on the cracks. The tub.needs.to be replaced. A discount on our reservation charge would have been appropriate.

I was here for a night as I was getting my grandma situated into an assisted living near by. Set my stuff down and was on the run helping her. Got in on late Friday night, and went to shower. The attached picture is what I saw. As someone in healthcare, there is bacteria and such growing in that hole. And there was visible mold around the edges. Mold is growing as the water gets under that coating. Probably not safe to be inhaling either. Absolutely no way I’m showering in that. The room was $170 a night. How is this right? When I politely ask what can be done, I was told the GM would not issue any refund for my issues. (Shannon was an angel so this was not directed at her.) They’re remodeling right now so it’s like a gamble on what kind of room you get. For $170, that’s not a game anyone wants to play. And after a long day, I just wanted a clean shower. Do not stay here, the GM doesn’t care and you’ll be gambling on your room condition.

I have never been so grossed out at a hotel. The room looked decent when we walked in but as I looked around you could see how dirty everything was. There was mold on the ceiling trim, every surface had some sort of dirt or unknown particles on it, the bathtub had rust stains and was peeling, my daughter didn’t even want to take a shower. The carpet was so nasty that we actually had to wash our feet before putting on our socks on because our feet were black. Would not recommend this place.

There was a terrible sewer gas type smell throughout the hotel that never went away during our stay. Several other guests I talked to had the same comment. When I checked out, the lady at the front desk did not seem concerned and I felt she brushed me off. We have stayed at several other La Quintas thru the years and loved all of our stays up until this most recent one in Granbury.

The hotel smaller musky, like mildew or mold. The room had black mold on the ceiling. We tried checking out early but they informed they wouldn’t check me out. I had to call Expedia for a refund. Expedia advised I needed to speak to them about a refund. Not a good experience.

The room door was open when we got to the room. The beds were sloppy and the fridge and ac both made racket. Very little water pressure, and hard beds. Will not stay again. The staff was very friendly though

This is a dirty property with cockroaches in different rooms. They go cheap on pest control, so their guests have to deal with cockroaches. I booked a presidential suite for my guests, and they got it together with roaches. La Quinta offered to move my guests to another room (smaller), but it also had roaches in it, so they had to leave and stay elsewhere. Next Expedia won’t refund the amount. They offered to refund a quarter of the amount I paid and called it (half) to my face. Is $127 half of $487.88? Because this is Expedia’s math. This is what they are refunding for this horrible experience where we couldn’t even stay at the hotel.

Big and spacious room. However there was water damage in the bathroom with bubbling ceiling by the light fixture and buckling floor tiles. The fridge had a very dirty wash cloth underneath it at the front, and there was dust and potential mold in the tray beneath the fridge. Also noticed a slight leak from the sprinkler in the bathroom while we were leaving. The front desk was never occupied, only when someone approached and rang the bell. The assumed hand sanitizer in the dining room at breakfast was filled with soap. When we needed more towels or contacted the front desk, the staff was very friendly and helpful.

When I was checking in the person behind the front desk said there was a problem with the way Expedia booked the room, was visibly upset by it, and then proceeded to take off their glasses and throw them down. This was very inappropriate behavior. I had my 1 1/2 year old daughter with me and I would rather her not be terrified by the staff at a place we were staying. Additionally, the walls were paper thin and you could hear everything going on in other rooms as well as it sounded like people running constantly through the halls. We were on the first floor beside the exit which you would think was nice however the door kept slamming all night long from people going in and out. Lastly, there was a screw coming out of the ceiling by the exit that was just an accident waiting to happen. I do not think I will be booking here again.

AC unit was not working properly, room was uncomfortable and floor was wet around it. Shower fixtures were loose. Toilet seat was loose. Outlet came completely out of the wall. Room lighting was very poor. Our hallway was extremely hot.

Loved the size of my room it was awesome. It was clean and centrally located to everything. I will be staying La Quinta from now on unless it’s sold out.
Loved the size of my room it was awesome. It was clean and centrally located to everything. I will be staying La Quinta from now on unless it’s sold out.

When I was checking in the person behind the front desk said there was a problem with the way Expedia booked the room, was visibly upset by it, and then proceeded to take off their glasses and throw them down. This was very inappropriate behavior. I had my 1 1/2 year old daughter with me and I would rather her not be terrified by the staff at a place we were staying. Additionally, the walls were paper thin and you could hear everything going on in other rooms as well as it sounded like people running constantly through the halls. We were on the first floor beside the exit which you would think was nice however the door kept slamming all night long from people going in and out. Lastly, there was a screw coming out of the ceiling by the exit that was just an accident waiting to happen. I do not think I will be booking here again.

Everything seemed to be fine until we came back to our room from dinner and discovered there was no hot water in the building and would not be any until sometime the following day. We were not informed of the problem until we asked about it, even though we spoke to the desk clerk on the way in. The hotel refused to compensate us in anyway because we booked through hotels.com I contacted customer service at hotels.com and explained the hot water situation, and wanted payment stopped. I was told the itinerary had not been processed through the system yet and there was nothing they could do. The following day I received an email saying hotels.com contacted the hotel and my booking reservation was processed. Apparently, the issue of no hot water was never discussed. I am extremely disappointed in the management at this hotel and with the inability of hotels.com to resolve issues such as this. It seems that using hotels.com removes your rights as a customer.

There was a terrible sewer gas type smell throughout the hotel that never went away during our stay. Several other guests I talked to had the same comment. When I checked out, the lady at the front desk did not seem concerned and I felt she brushed me off. We have stayed at several other La Quintas thru the years and loved all of our stays up until this most recent one in Granbury.

They only thing bad i have to say is that i ask for a late check out went i first checked in they didnt note it so at 11:15am the knock on the door told my friend that was there with me, they were not gonna honor my late check out, and even ask before i left in the morning because i had to go to work a few hours down the that my late check out for 12 was in place and he said yes

Selected room with hot tub. Had confirmation email showing room with hot tub and charged rate for that room. Male manager on duty said “Expedia” put in code for cheapest king room. Did not care it was our anniversary & that I had confirmation email with picture. I was willing to compromise by requesting to be moved to a king room with a couch so we could at least sit down. He said he was unable to give us a better room because I booked through a third party. There was literally NO one in this hotel. He could’ve easily moved us but we received a terrible room. Housekeeper named Silvia tried to help us. Worst experience at a hotel. We left and drove home. HORRIBLE manager. Ruined anniversary. Oh! We also arrived at 3:35 to check in & same manager told us we would have to return in an hour because our room wasn’t ready even though advertised check in time was 3:00pm. Do NOT recommend this hotel!!!!!!

This is a very nice place to stay. It is close to one of the main highways in the area, and there is plenty of good food to eat in the area.. I had a great stay here. Really enjoyed it. Shannon was really great at the front desk. She was quick to point things out and made sure we had all we needed while we were there. She was really something special.

Overall, it was okay. The one big con was the breakfast. They had watered down the orange juice and apple juice alot. There were not very many options at all. The only plus was a very good coffee selection. We were promised clean towels would be hung in a bag on our door amd when we came in late that evening they hadn't been so had to make a trip downstairs to get some amd then found out they only gave us one washcloth. Still an ok stay but would need to factor in going out for breakfast when comparing prices.

Good grounds for walking our dog. Didn't like that the fee for a dog went from $25 to $50 according to the clerk, although he only charged us $25. Breakfast at 8:30 was dismal. The cabinet in bathroom was banged up and tired. No hand towels in the bathroom. Sticky patch of something on carpet.

We came in for a Spartan race weekend-they got breakfast out early for racers- so nice! They have guest laundry which was a game changer for after the race. Warm cookies when we arriver. Restaurants and stores close by, too. Will definitely stay again if ever back in that area.

This was an okay hotel that was made better because the staff was so friendly and efficient. They are the best thing about the hotel. The hotel common spaces was very clean and I felt my room was as well. I traveled with a dog and they were accommodating to her. The location was good, though not at all scenic. There were some areas that could be improved. The breakfast was quite basic and the same every day. One day, the waffle mix was way too thin and half ran out as you flipped the waffle to cook. Needless to say, there was no waffle that day. They also ran out of coffee one morning. There was no fruit at all and no sweet rolls or turn overs. Although there were VERY few guests on the day we arrived, we were put in a room that I felt was poorly maintained. It also looked directly out over the cheap hotel behind it. The couch in the room had foot prints imbedded into the covering and scratches as well. I guess we got this basic room because we had a dog. I want to add that my dog is small, very well behaved and non-shedding. Since we were there during a time when there were very few guests, I thought the hotel could have done better. I would stay again if needed, but we visited another pet-friendly hotel on the lake and near the beach, and the slight difference in price for that hotel would have been well worth it. La Quinta - you need to keep your staff in this facility. Without them it would not have been a good experience.
