We went for a quick overnight trip. The manager on duty was rude and did not know any events going on in the community. My husband and kids went to swim but the door to the outside was open and it was freezing in the pool area. Staff was unable to be located to asked about the issue. The next day when checking out, same manager, just took our room key without a word. Overall, the room was clean and comfortable. The one staff member we had interactions with was rude.

This is a former Rodeway Inn, so the property looks tired and old, even though the finishes inside have been recently updated...lots of weeds and lack of nice landscaping, and not a nice parking lot area. Trash, weeds, overgrowth, etc., all around the property perimeter. It reminds me of the saying, "You can put lipstick on a pig, but it's still a pig." For example, in our room, the new carpet was shoddily installed, with gaps between the carpet and baseboards. They slapped some new carpet, furniture, and finishes in the rooms, but the bones are old, and you can tell. The elevator was gross. But the hotel interior and rooms were at least clean, so there's that. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast was decent, and the food area was very clean. Overall, both positives and negatives, but I don't think the rating/reviews were honestly reflective of the actual property.

All Staff were very helpful and friendly. Jason, the manager, was attentive and shared local dining options as well as location for an event we were attending. Property itself had been recently renovated and rooms were clean and comfortable. Would recommend and would definitely stay here again if needed.

Loved the staff. It was clean and comfortable. There was water and coffee available all day in the lobby. I wish breakfast had healthier offerings other than an apple. Such a hidden gem and we will back.

The hotel was great for the price! The room and lobby were very clean. The staff were friendly and the pool was restocked with towels each day. Our floor smelled like someone had been smoking weed in their room, but I feel that was outside of the hotels control. The hot tub was also out of order but it was not advertised as having a hot tub when I booked the room. Overall, we had a good experience and would stay again.

Good communication! Texted prior to arrival that Pool/HotTub not working. Offered free cancellation or pass to nearby Hotel 👍 Coffeemaker in room did not work. Friendly housekeeper brought new one. Continental breakfast but BobEvans next door. Great location. Friendly staff. Would stay again.

Carpet was disgusting my toddlers feet were black from walking around barefoot they recently renovated the hotel and did a terrible job wall paper peeling faucet loose. I had to unplug the phone because it ring both nights we were there around 10 waking up everyone

When I first got there I was given a room. Half of the stuff worked in the room. Tv did not work and half the lights did not work. Was given another room but water barely came out and it did not get warm at all.

The staff are really nice people that are very helpful. The hotel was very clean. They offered a decent breakfast. I will definitely stay at this location the next time I'm in the area.

This hotel is run by a professional staff, not a foreign family. Noticeably better. Everything at the hotel and the room was clean and in working order. The breakfast was flavorful, nutritious and well stocked. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I enjoyed my 6 day stay.

We were disappointed with the breakfast. We were told there were eggs, but they served what appeared to be overcooked frozen omelets. Also the shower in our room was plumbed back wards. The spigot in the sink was not secure and there were stains on the ceiling.

staff was amazing, very clean, very comfy, beds were comfy, and the pillows... i sleep with several pillows, i travel with at least 2 pillows because most hotels do not have enough pillows, each queen bed had 4 HUGE pillows, breakfast was good but the coffee was amazing... and available 24/7, always fresh and hot

Nice hotel. Jason greeted us and was so friendly. The young lady who worked ar our morning bfast did an awesome job keeping everything filled for the guests.

Loved the staff. It was clean and comfortable. There was water and coffee available all day in the lobby. I wish breakfast had healthier offerings other than an apple. Such a hidden gem and we will back.

All of it, your staff was wonderful and I wish I'd had gotten their names but everyone I came in contact with was very nice and helpful. The room was great, breakfast was good and easy parking. We had a great night there, thank you for everything. I will be back!

This is an older facility. Refrigerators, elevators, etc are noisy. The TV didn't work. The front desk offered to switch rooms but we were unpacked and tired and chose to stay put. The neighbors in the adject room argued all night. It just wasn't a restful experience.

We stayed at the Comfort Inn in Kendallville for over 60 days during one of the hardest periods our family has ever faced, and I will never forget the kindness we received here. This hotel became so much more than a place to sleep. In many ways, they saved us. The manager is genuinely one of the most caring and compassionate people I have ever encountered. He treated us like human beings, not just another room number, and deserves every bit of recognition in the world. And the housekeeping staff — I cannot say enough wonderful things about them. They put so much love, care, and attention into what they do. Our room was always clean, the details were noticed, and more importantly, we were noticed. They took the time to care about us as people. When your life feels dark, you remember the people who chose to be a light in it. I love and miss the staff here and will never forget the compassion they showed our family. Thank you, Comfort Inn Kendallville, for giving us kindness, dignity, comfort, and a safe place when we desperately needed one. You will always hold a very special place in my heart. ❤️
