The Claire Hotel

Good property. Rooms were sufficient. Nice small pool. Stagg was excellent. Close to all we wanted to do.

Play areas were falling apart and wooden structures posed falling hazard for kids. Jammed toes under bed multiple times. Otherwise, was nice and pleasant stay.

Check-in was done via text message with very clear instructions. Any questions I had were answered immediately. The property was quaint, quiet and clean. The pool was fun for my grandson and loungers and umbrellas were provided. I’ll return here if I’m ever back this way.

It was clean, not enough bar b q pits we had to wait and share a pit.

We had a little family weekend get away. Love the little cabin, it was so cute. Kids loved the pool and play area. We will be making it a year thing.

I did like how secluded the area was. I didn't realize there was a pool until we had checked out but it looked a little green.. the futon needs were falling apart. There were lights under the canopy but they weren't plugged in or hung up.

Great, quiet little spot. Only thing is there is a strip of cabins where parking is not available directly in front of cabin. Quite inconvenient with children or if you're unloading for an extended stay. But otherwise a very nice spot.

Great adventure good for a last minute arrangement... Pool just needed to be much warmer it was a bit chilly.

The people there were very helpful and friendly. The property itself is old. New owners are fixing it up. They built a fence around pool while we were there. Although the pool chemicals seemed off. And there were flies everywhere. Maybe because most of the trash containers on property were over flowing.

Loved the pool area ..they were doing some updating..it waa quite..we bbq..played on the play area..have corn hole..

Floor in room was super dirty my baby had dirt and hair all over his feet after walking around , side table and bed under pillows had someone else’s hair . Really grossed me out. No one to talk to on property as well. Just wouldn’t stay here again .

This was a cute cabin like room. Very clean and just enough space for 2 people. Very cute area and quiet. Will definitely be coming back !!

Easy check-in process. Everything was thoroughly explained with easy to understand instructions. There was a maintenance issue due to extreme cold temperatures, something beyond the control of the hotel. They immediately went to work on it and were so apologetic, even though they had no control over it. We were given an upgrade, a huge upgrade. The rooms were plenty big, the beds comfortable, and it was very, very clean. We will definitely be going back.

Im giving the Claire Hotel a 2 star only because the person who assisted me was very pompt & polite. This place is not as listed in the photos. I initially got cabin 11, which says it could hold up to 10 person. However, the cabin is very small. I suppose it's an okay place to lay your head but I would never return unless there are some major renovations made. The cabin smelled, stains on wall & visible mold in the vents. I alerted the staff, which they were accommodating and offered me another cabin. We moved to cabin 9, which was a little more cleaner than the first and did not have mold in the vents or ceiling. It wasn't sustainable for me & my family. The place had planks of the floor slipping around every time someone walked on them. The wall plugs are all loose. The electric is wonky, things flickered as you walked or sat down somewhere. There was only cold water from both restrooms, it was nearly impossible for any of us to shower. There were bugs inside and a huge spider on the porch blocking the door. I paid for 4 nights but we were only able to stay 1 night. My family and I did not feel safe. I let customer service know that i was leaving after the first night. We turned off the air, all the light and locked up the place. Unfortunately i lost out on money not staying the whole time. I had to get a hotel about 30 mins away and pay even more since we were a party of 10. I wish the place looked as described and was everything we wanted it to be but sadly it wasnt.

The property was perfect for my family! The cabin was super clean, looked just like the pictures and had all the amenities we needed. The staff was very helpful and communicative. The pool and games were a nice plus and the location was awesome, just a short drive for the lake! We will definitely be coming back soon.

The room was just what we were looking for We wanted to be close to our family members to visit without driving along ways. This was perfect. Clean room and check-in was so convenient. Will check this out again when we come back with the kids in the summer.

Parking was terrible. Vehicle parked in front of our room in the morning could barely get out the door. The check in process was way complicated. Inside the shower area found dried blood in the wall. Over all not impressed.

The cabin was clean but well worn. The box springs on both beds were dirty and streaked.

We loved it there but the only thing that wasn’t so good was the beds. They weren’t very comfortable. Other than that the stay was fabulous.

It's good for a comfy bed and place to rest. The TV was useless and it's very dated but the bed was comfy and the sheets were clean and that's the most important thing. The parking was weird but there were plenty of spaces. The pool had some kids that wanted to jump and splash everyone and they didn't have a parent with them so that was annoying. It's pretty peaceful out there, otherwise. They have games and movies and we had fun playing games in the room. If I go back I'll get the cabin not a room.

The good=pool, playground, outdoor activities. The bad= no TV in the bedroom, very loud AC window units, the shower was extremely hot for kids.

There are two main areas which may be helpful to anticipate: the "Outback" area is a continuation of the main section of cabins, and . The biggest con is that the shower had no shelving or niches to put toiletries on: everything had to sit on the ground (which may have been less unpleasant if the shower pan had less rust residue, though as I understand that is an issue with local water supply). The AC also definitely needed a new filter. I don't think this detracts from the overall experience and I fully expect we'll be back soon!

These little cottages are clean and quiet. Very convenient location. They are very basic, nothing fancy, but were perfect for me and my daughter. Would recommend!

My room and surrounding area was clean and tidy. Very easy process to check in with lots of great communication from the owners. Quite a small room but it was adequate for what I needed and the bed was very comfortable. I’d stay here again.

This is an absolute catfish hotel. The pictures are of a stunning modern white clad crisp clean room. And when you arrive it’s like walking into Narnia…except not cool. You’re transported into your grandmas cat pee and pall mall covered house with linens and accommodations her great grandmother passed down to her. I contacted the property and they were happy to move me to a new room. It was just as bad, but stinkier. Then they said they’d be happy to let me switch my double bed room for a king and a pull out that actually looked like the pictures. How kind!?!? This property has a ton of potential and yet…we overspent on our family vacation to be disappointed and uncomfortable. The tv is so small you can’t even see it, but I guess it didn’t matter because you couldn’t hear it either. And all they could offer me was a measly $75 refund. Hopefully they use my well wasted money to buy some new linens of perhaps Odoban. As shown below is what we were offered and what we received.

It has great potential but definitely needs an upgrade. It’s a cute area but the beds need to be updated. They were so uncomfortable and they still use old bedspreads that made it feel that much more uncomfortable. The grounds were cute but there was trash throughout the area.

Needs remodeling and updating… shower small, tv very small, mattress sinks in the middle. And outdoors needs weeding. Disappointing . Not coming back for this price.

Loved the property set up, Very clean, had a minor hiccup with check-in however staff was quick to fix the issue.

The Claire made the entire process so convenient and enjoyable. Check-in and checkout were so simple and the room was so comfortable. Would definitely come back here!

I'm not sure why this hotel has excellent status/reviews. We chose it for location, close to our family get together place. The very little AC/ heater was turned off. The room did not get warm for 8 hours. We slept with our clothes on. The worst in a while. No staff, except available through text. Internet not working. Average status at the best. Outdated. Pro: it was clean. The cabins are cute. I let the staff know through text about the issues. They apologized. That's it. Suggestion: when you have guests coming, have a physical staff member check the room in advance to make sure things are operational. Also when you know it's 40 degrees weather and the little ass heater cannot warm up the room for hours, have someone turn the heat on and keep the room at a reasonable temperature for guest checking in. Also not a fan of self check in- check out. Very dissatisfied and will not stay here again. Poor management

Everything was quick and easy with checking in. The room was spacious, clean, and the bed was super comfy! We were within walking distance from the pool and our parking spot. Communication with staff was spot on and quick as well! Definitely would stay here again!

Overall very good stay. Only glitch was no hot water for shower. Management took care of it in a timely manner.

Quiet location short drive to the lakes

We were looking for a cabin in a quiet area. This is more like tiny duplex homes. They’re on the side of the road so we heard every car and 18 wheeler drive by. They need lights to see the entrance to the property at night. We passed it up and it hard to slowly down with everyone being you driving 50mph.

It was convenient for a stay near Canyon Lake for a Christmas party.

We stayed in the bigger cabin slept 10 people comfortably, the area is very nice we cooked some meat on the provided bbq pit, played some cornhole. I will definitely be going back.

This room advertises that five people can sleep, but it is way too small for that. There are even enough outlets for five people. A coffee pot is provided, with individual servings for one day which is not enough. One outlet did not work at all. The ceiling had holes. The pillows in our first room were stained, and the futon was broken. Imagine five grown women trying to sleep in this room, two rolling into each other all night on a broken futon. This should really be more clearly stated that this room is not really made for five adults.
