Lovely hotel, friendly service. Pool/hot tub a bit tired but overall a great stay. Very short walk to harbour, restaurants and bars.

Older hotel but many renos and upgrades to keep it modern. Location is great, staff were very friendly. My partner and I booked here for a romantic getaway. We mostly booked this hotel because of location and the pool/hot tub. Unfortunately, we couldn’t enjoy the pool or hot tub because there were so many kids jumping, splashing, and playing in the hot tub (despite the sign on the wall stating children under 16 are not allowed). There were no staff around to enforce the rules. Then the pool was closed on the second day of our stay. I probably wont book again for that reason, and I wouldn’t recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful vacation/staycation. Fine for anyone going to an event downtown though and not planning to spend a lot of time at the hotel.

The hotel is run down. The fitness room needs updating & the hot tub was broke. Breakfast was good at the restaurant.

The parking, I know is not owned by the hotel. But we pay the hotel to be allowed to park in the underground parking. Parking downtown is risky otherwise. The restoration in the parking garage has been a big inconvenience. I look forward to its completion

A very comfortable stay with great beds and showers. A decent breakfast buffet with lots of options and friendly service. Perhaps not as "newly renovated" as it's made out to be. The gym equipment is dusty and rusty.

There was no available parking at the hotel. Ended up street parking and had to move the car at midnight. Ended up parking at the hotel next door. There was a concert and all the parking was used up for concert goers' and not hotel guests.

Pool/hot tub area could use a good cleaning. Great location, lovely staff.

We got to our room and there was still food in our fridge. So our room was pretty much not cleaned. If they never cleaned the fridge they never changed the sheets or have a look at other things in the room.

When we arrived we had found food under the bed. Found by our puppy actually. Very unclean. Our heat was also broken in our room, and making a banging noise all night. Definitely not worth the price we had paid.

The price was a lot higher than i would expect. Since I paid so much for the room, I would expect the room to be immaculate. There was mould in the bathroom, the room was not as clean as I would expect. There were clear hand prints on the one mirror and the room had a bit of a smell to it. I was not impressed.

The Delta St-John's is within easy walking distance to a wide variety of restaurants and pubs, as well many of the local shops and stores. Our room was modern and clean, with a view of the harbour. In-room dining (room service) was very good, and reasonably priced. The hotel staff went above and beyond to meet our needs and make us feel comfortable during our eight-night stay.

Really need to do a better job cleaning. Shower had mold for example.

The hotel rooms are tired and somewhat dated. The area around the hotel needs updated. The gardens are overgrown with weeds and cigarette butts everywhere.

Perfect location for a weekend stay In St. John's. We had a comfy, clean room that overlooked the harbor and were pleasantly surprised to find it just a short walking distance to George Street and the harbor front!

Outstanding location. If not for weather, would have enjoyed it more. Negs- could not adjust room temp. Cold all week. Wifi intermittent. Food not very good despite variety. Fish bone in fish fillet. Parking lot under construction and availablty a nightmare. Left vehicle parked to avoid losing parking spot. No print services. Will stay again but hope for improvements.

For the price, room was small and very standard. Hotel doesn’t look very nice from the outside, although the lobby is nice. Pool area not nice at all.

Staff were less helpful with stuff because we booked “third party “ people next to us had same issues and they were given free parking and free breakfast.. all I heard was you booked “third party” not impressed

Our room was not ready for 3:00 check in. Our flight landed at 11am so this was frustrating. The original clerk was a rude and unapologetic which was frustrating after a long flight. However a different clerk helps us out and all was rectified on the end.

We had a check in for 3:00. Had plans to get ready for dinner and a concert and relax a bit before. We had been up early and travelled since 5:30 that morning. Arrived at hotel at 3 to be told the room was not cleaned yet. And someone would contact us when it was. Checked at 3:20 to be told still not ready. Then again at 4 as I was then furious as we would have to rush now for our plans. Had to argue with staff and demand they do something and magically they were able to get us another room. Not booking through Expedia anymore as it seemed the people who booked directly through the delta had no issue getting their rooms as I watched several people get check in and receive room keys. Talked to other people in the lobby waiting on rooms and they booked through Expedia as well. Never and I repeat never staying at the delta again. The hotel Is highly over priced, lobby looks nice and well taken care of but the rooms are dusty, carpet is dingy and disgusting. Bathroom tub wasn’t really clean. Staff are not accommodating and argue back with you. No excuse for room not to be ready at check in time. A room at the delta shouldn’t cost more than $150. For $250 we should be receiving good service and 5 star rated rooms, the delta doesn’t deserve one star.

Frequent traveller. The Delta was not what I had hoped. Nothing was of notable quality. Our bathroom had no conditioner, and when I asked at the front desk for someone to refill it before I left for the day they said they'd replace it. Next morning, still no conditioner. The tub faucet was also in poor condition, it definitely needs a gasket replaced. Was hard to turn on and off, and was leaking the whole time I used it. This was also brought up at the front desk, also not fixed. Bathroom ceiling had cracked and peeling paint, and was clear there had been previous repairs as the paint was different colors. There was also little stains on the walls. Otherwise room was fine. Bed was comfortable enough. We ordered room service, the Angus burger didn't have a lot of flavor, and appeared to be a frozen patty I assume from a grocery store, not what I expected for $24. Chicken burger was also nothing special. Neither were worth the cost. The biggest benefit was the location being convenient. I will reconsider staying here next time, and look for a place that's quality is more in line with it's price point.

I emailed the property to enquire about early check in as my flight landed at 6am but managed to wait until 4pm to check in. Once I did, it took about 20-30 mins for me to be checked in. I then went up to my assigned room and found it was not cleaned - empty drink cans around and napkins on the floor. I went to explain to the front desk and instead of finding me a different room, they offered to clean the existing room while I waited in the lounge with a complimentary appetizer. I was not hungry but instead very tired from a long flight. I waited in the lounge for an hour before my room was available and was offered no other compensation. I did not get into my room until 5:30pm despite checking in at 4pm. I travelled for a conference so this meant I lost important time to prepare and rest. Additionally, I noticed that when I left a pillow on the middle of the bed, housekeeping just pulled the sheets over the pillow instead of properly re-making it. Finally, on my second last night, a group next door to me was exceedingly loud from 2am-8am. I called the front desk to inform them and asked for a room change given I needed to wake early the next morning for a flight. No firm answer could be given on whether this was possible so I had to wait until 3pm to ask again. This is all unusual and poor quality service overall for a hotel I would expect a lot more from. I am grateful they allowed me to change rooms in the end but that is about the only good thing

Short weekend break to the hotel. Excellent time. Jackie on the desk was fantastic. Looked after us like we were special. Canno say enough about her.

Perfect location, great choice for a hotel when staying in this beautiful city. Not only easy walking distance to downtown but, for everything out of walking distance, this hotel is one of the stops for their Hop On Hop Off bus service which was incredibly convenient!

The location can't be beat. We wanted to be close to George Street. Parking was terrible. The public parking facility was under construction and scary. We opted not to park there and ended up valeting the car both nights. The hotel is aging, but it is very clean. The staff was excellent.

I asked staff about going down town to ea and was recommended a few places to eat. what they did not warn me was how bad vagrancy was, at 17:30 in the evening, your beds were awful and there was a steady noise from the heating unit

The staff was pleasant and accommodating, got an early check in which I appreciated! It’s also so close to everything in St. John’s. The downtown core of any city comes with its downsides & there was many times in my 3 nights I was approached by homeless & even saw someone in the parkade checking cars.. this is not the properties fault at all just don’t leave anything in the car in the area!

Hi there, myself and my partner booked what we thought would be a romantic night at the delta for Valentine’s Day. We were really excited, I’ve always enjoyed my stay at the Delta. Our room was beautiful and we had an amazing view. Shortly after arriving we decided to eat at the pinnacle, the deltas restaurant. We had an appetizer, and two main courses and a drink each. We had a spinach dip to start, right off the bat I realized it was just barely warm and it was really busy so we just left it and tried not to complain. We felt off almost immediately after finishing it. To the point we didn’t even eat our main courses, but took them in take out boxes. Once we were on the way back to our room, we got off the elevator and we’re greeted by loud screams from a room close to ours that continued for a long time. We entered our own room down the hallway, and my partner immediately threw up in the bathroom. And I had to lie down from feeling so unwell. We went to bed at 8:30pm and unfortunately we weren’t able to enjoy our stay at all. I am very disappointed with our valentines experience at the Delta Hotel. And we spent nearly $400 to make this night special. Sincerely, A very upset visitor.

I'd recommend the hotel but not the restaurant here

Staff were amazing and the room was very clean. Pool was also very clean. Under the impression there was a breakfast included and there was not. However the restaurant located in the hotel had a wonderful breakfast.

Fabulous location, great rooms and bathroom but horrible breakfast— we went for the eight mornings of our stay to Exile at the Jag for breakfast— and many areas are tired looking.

The whole stay was nice, the staff throughout were some of the best we have ever encountered. Smiling, polite, and helpful. Our disappointment was from the kitchen. Our food was cool to cold both nights. My husband does not like to complain, but on the second night we had fish and chips, and the fish was over cooked and the fries and fish were cold. I did tell the waitress about the meal and especially the fries and she did bring me another bowl of fries, and they were hot! Other than that, our stay was great!

Everything was great! Food was superb. Very clean room and comfortable.
